Mm, there was nothing like a nice walk. Immediately after she had finished her morning chores for the day, the baku had decided that the day was far too nice to spend sitting around indoors and, hey, hadn't a cute new bakery opened up fairly close by recently?
Although she had left the school empty handed, when Xiu returned, she had a rather large box sitting in her arms. Having been unable to resist all the cute little cakes and pastries, the ghoul had picked out a number of them to bring back to the dorm and to share with some of her demon friends. Of course, upon arriving back, she found herself faced with a little dilemma.
...Hm. Furrowing her brows, Xiu stared at the door that separated her from the dorm's interior, glancing between it and the large box that she had in her arms. How was she supposed to...? She supposed that she could put the box down on the ground, but that didn't really seem all that sanitary to her even if the pastries were safely inside.
...Maybe she could just...try to find a way...and struggle to open the door while holding the box? Or she could wait until someone came down and opened it, but who knew how long that would take! The foxes tail flicked to and fro as he slunk along the ground in the dorms. His head was low as he wandered along, eyes darting from side to side. Honestly, it felt like things were watching him, haunting him by peeking over his shoulder the instant he wasn't paying attention. He swore he'd heard a few whispers. Which, due to his somewhat reclusive nature and preference to quiet, only came off as worse. He couldn't get much peace at the moment, which left for a bit of a high strung demon. And so the spooked little thing was skulking along to head for what might have been a class, or what he might have hoped would be a relaxing event. Or something to just get his mind off it. Still, anything seemed better than his room at the moment. So up he went, around that corner, and past the lounge. Straight for the-
Doors.
Right. Paws and doors. Thankfully it seemed the latch was a turning down one, so after a few quick looks to ensure nothing was going to pounce on him he leaned up and carefully caught his teeth catching the handle as he slowly worked to bring it down and open the door. Which only half worked. Clever? Maybe. But as the door swung open under his paws, which was all that supported his upper body, the ice fox found himself quickly sliding forward as he released the handle and scrambled for footing. A jingle of a bell was about the only warning that Xiu would have gotten that something was beyond the door. Well, and the fact it had opened. Still, she was greeted with a bit of an odd sight. Molan was attempting to regain composure as he glanced around a bit paranoid still. It took him a moment to realize she was there with the box, ears falling low as he backed up a step. He was about to scamper off until he realized he knew the rather... unimposing ghoul. A flew blinks and he cocked his head to one side, stance easing up a bit as he sort of stared her down.
What was Xiu even doing there? And... actually something smelled rather delicious. Not that, you know... he was going to steal anything. Just, wow. He'd have to find out where she got that.Kaiyumi Wuf. I mean. Yip. Also that smells good and hrrm. No worries I'm a spazz too.

Ah--hey, the doors! It looked like she had gotten lucky and that someone had just decided to leave after all! Or, well, maybe--...no? She was vaguely aware of the light tinkling of bells as the door swung open, but what she hadn't been expecting was to find herself face to face with a fox. Someone's...minipet, she presumed?
...
What a lovely mini! Lips pulling into a smile, Xiu took a step forward and crouched down, carefully balancing the box of treats on her knees. "Hello there, you! What in Halloween are you doing wandering around alone?" She slowly stretched a hand out towards the boil-in-disguise, holding it palm-up as she tried to beckon him closer. A quick look around determined that there was no one else in sight--had this mini gotten lost and wandered off on his own?
Hmm, maybe she could stick around until his owner showed up? It would be terrible if the fox disappeared before his owner could come and find him! Lifting the cake box again, Xiu gave a little wave of her tail as she held it out to Molan. "Do you want to come join me for a bit in the lounge, perhaps? I bought some things from a nearby bakery, and I'm sure there are some treats that you can eat." Chocolate didn't seem like a good idea, but going off of the things that her own minis could safely devour...

He probably should have expected it, but the most logical reaction came from Xiu. A sweet caring one. The ghoul was nothing short of adorable as she attempting to balance the box while holding out a hand. There was a reason his brother had a crush on her, most certainly. Which is why he sort of gave the ghoul a sigh as he stared at greeting of sorts. Bot ears flicked up from the lowered position as she spoke though, at least not as spooked. He'd even shifting to sit on the floor, lifting one front paw as if to 'shake' at her hand after a moment. He couldn't speak like this, words just didn't form properly, and it seemed as if it would be awkward to change back at the moment, so Molan merely attempted what he hoped looked like a shrug to her question. He had... been intending to go out, however...
Both ears perked as she stood again and mentioned something about treats. He did enjoy sweets. A bit more than he should. Maybe it was his slightly spoiled upbringing or just in his nature, but turning down a tasty snack just seemed silly. And besides, a familiar voice seemed to have helped with hushing the seemingly constant whisper of voices. One last look over his shoulder as the thought brought forth minor paranoia again and he was back on his feet to follow along, his tail waving idly back and forth pleased as he intended to follow her.
If being someone's pet for a bit meant getting to test out whatever she had in that box. Well, he could swallow his pride for a bit. Though, he couldn't imagine trying to hold a fork with paws. About as bad as trying to handle doors really. Still, he could certainly try something. He gave a small yip of a bark, nothing to startle just a confirmation that he agreed with her idea as he followed along. Sadly, if she was going to wait for an owner she'd be waiting a long time. Seeing as, well, he was the one who typically owned pets. Not the other way around.
Though now that he thought about it, she hadn't recognized him? Hadn't his brother mentioned he had a natural form before? Certainly there couldn't be that many foxes that shared his features in the school? After all, many had seemed confused with him even being a demon. Though perhaps that was why she assumed only a pet would look like him in the dorms? Curious curious. Oh well, first things first. Snacks.
Though she might have a bit of trouble. He did like chocolate. Sure he never gave it to his minipets, but he saw no reason he couldn't handle it. Even as he was. It probably wasn't as tasty as those spookies from before though.Kaiyumi He knows how to shake. Really. Also yes, he is going to try and hold his food delicately and eat like a civilized thing. But he is quite easily bought over with sweets. Specially since he's sure Xiu has good taste in treats.

Jack, he really was an adorable creature, wasn't he? Or well, perhaps adorable wasn't the best word--elegant, really, and regal.
...
And fluffy.
She resisted the urge to reach out and pat the fox on the head, fearing that she would upset it. However, her eyes immediately lit up when she noticed the ear perk at the mention of her desserts. Oh--did he really understand what she was saying? And look at that, he seemed to be willing to follow her too! Xiu's tail began to swish back and forth, as if in response to Molan's own swaying. Straightening up, she jerked her head towards the lounge. "This way, then!" She chirped brightly, before heading off towards her destination at an easy pace.
Slowly sinking down onto one of the couches, she carefully undid the ribbon atop the box, flipping open the lid to reveal a number of pastries and desserts. Tarts, cupcakes, slices of cake--Xiu had really gone all out in that cafe. A small number of plastic forks and disposable plates had also been wedged into the side of the box for convenience sake. Making sure that she had a decent hold on the box, she lowered it so that Molan could get a good look inside. "I was going to share these with everyone in the dorm, but you get first pick! Which one--or ones--would you like?"
The fact that this was probably an unusual sight to some of the other demon students who might have been milling about never occurred to Xiu. Either that, or she simply didn't care.Raja oh god I'm sorry Raja ;__; Finals are eating me aliveeee ;; <333

Not that Molan would have minded the pat, but perhaps it was for the best. Xiu still had a large box of pastries to balance. Thankfully he did know exacly what she was saying, and probably looked like a well trained minipet as he moved along behind her at the call. A brisk prance of sorts that was light on his paws, because while it wasn't her homemade treats, he still believed the ghoul's taste for goodies would lead to a rather pleasing delight. He just followed along a pace behind her to one side, so as not to be in the way as they wandered toward the lounge. He'd met Maddox here, but generally avoided the place due to not wanting to deal with too many strangers. Still, it really was a nice place. And the furniture was extremely comfortable.
And thankfully there were no signs that said 'no pets on the furniture.'
For as Xiu chose a spot on a couch he leapt up next to her, tail curling around him as he peered at her still rather curious about the delightful aroma coming from the box. He didn't try to take anything as she removed the lid, obviously he had some manners. Though looking was free. Ooo was that a Fearamisu? And he thought he smelled a Red Velvet scented thing in there. But no, those certainly weren't the proverbial icing on his cake. Rather, as she lowered the box to let him see better he spotted the mother load of all good things. A booberry tart with a few scarberries, and other fruits. But the majority was those round blue delights. Yes, yes that was definitely what he wanted. Xiu was even being so kind as to give him first pick, oh yes the sparkling eyes she got at that.
His day was made.
Unlike what she might have thought would occur when offering a box of treats, he didn't dive headfirst in to try and gobble it. Nope, he was a gentleboil. Even if she wasn't aware. So after a brief moment he shifted position to balance on just his hind legs before carefully shifting to move another treat away from his desired delight and then moved both paws to extract the thing from the box, balanced a bit awkwardly between the two. Not that he lost grip on it, there wasn't even a fur or smudge on anything else in there. He was an absolute pro at this if anyone took this as an example. And then, after a bit more shifting as he had it near him, he had to balanced in such a way he could actually try to eat the thing.
Which he started off by licking a bit of whip cream off the top all too proud of himself. Why yes, that was a smug little minipet balancing a tart. LIKE A BOSS.
One would have to wonder who trained a pet to eat like that. And how.(( Result says Molan does this every day. Don'tcha know? )) Roll Results Meaning 1: GOOD JOB - Most skillful extraction and balance of a tart EVER. 2: Still hanging in there - I got this... I got this... 3: ..........u tried - Got it out of the box, but it's probably on the floor now. 4: can't...even get a good grasp on it - Just gonna keep nudging it in the box.

When Xiu offered the box to Molan, she had expected...well, for a response that matched one of her own three minis. Jian typically eyed the batch before pointing one out for Xiu to pick up for him, while Shu would bat at the one she wanted until Xiu helped. Arashi, on the other hand, didn't even wait--he would just stick his face in the box and gobble up the desired treat.
But this mini...this fox...
The baku watched, eyes wide and mouth slightly parted, as Molan daintily picked up his desired dessert with his paws. With his paws. How in Halloween--?! How did you even teach your mini to do something like that? If Shu had tried, Jack knows that the tart probably would have nose-dived straight for the ground. And while Jian might have been able to get it out of the box, balancing it and getting it up to his face for him to devour would have been a whole other issue.
...Just...whaaaat...
Xiu just continued to stare in fascination, completely forgetting about the fact that she was holding a box of still-open treats. That was, until she almost dropped the box. Hastily, she set it down on the empty spot beside her, picking out a matcha dessert. However, she hardly even took a bite of it--though what she tasted of it, it was really good--before turning back to look at the fox.
"...You eat like a gentleman," She smiled, still amazed, "How did you learn to use your paws like that?"

Well, as he wasn't a minipet. Of course he hadn't behaved as one. In truth merely looking would show how utterly pleased he was with himself. The tip of his tail was flicking idly back and forth against his legs as he carefully worked to n** off one of the booberries. It wasn't until he'd managed to carefully swallow the thing, after less elegantly having to chew it, that she spoke up and he once more looked up from his baked perfection that he had.
And the look she got was merely 'well of course I do.' As he took another careful bite. The question though, he as chewed as politely as he could before swallowing another gulp of it. He wasn't sure how the ghoul expected him to respond. She did think he was a minipet, they... just didn't talk. He merely gave a low grumble of a noise as a response, not a growl, just a rolling grunt of sorts. Which was the best she was getting. He really could not speak like this. Though he did shift the tart to balance on the top of one paw before idly lifting the other and shifting it up and down, then lightly adjusting the tart again.
Because obviously showing he knew how to move his paws around explained everything. Best teacher moment ever.
And then back to another bite and having to chew with his mouth open. Because sadly doing so like normal just didn't work in this form. Still, the tart was quite delicious. Oh yes, fox was in bliss again. Glorious, absolute, bliss. He really would need to get that shop's address from Xiu later.Kaiyumi Dem dice love heem. Also he sez yum. But now sure how to explain paws to Xiu.

Man. Man, either this mini was owned by a very patient and diligent owner, or he was just a genius. Maybe both? The baku was still more than a little stunned by the fact he had been able to grasp--and eat--the tart so gracefully, her tapir-shaped ears lifting and perking up slightly when he moved to balance the tart on one paw.
...She really needed to meet his owner.
"That's impressive," She smiled, eyes flickering up to meet his, "I mean, even in my natural form, I don't think I'd be able to balance something quite as nicely as you can. It must have taken a fair bit of practice, no?"
For a moment, and inkling of a thought trickled through her mind--natural form?--but before she could grasp onto it, the baku was quickly distracted by the fact that she was still holding her own half-eaten dessert in her hand. She quickly moved to take a bite of it, and the thought was dismissed back into the back of her mind.Raja Xiu is so confused and impressed right now.

Or the true fact. He just treasured treats and the very concept of letting it go to waste frightened him to perfection. While Molan wasn't stupid, it was really just his need to snack that was keeping the thing as balanced as it was as he managed another bite. Yes, delicious and perhaps mildly nutritious. Maybe. Just a little. Oh delicious custard filling.
So the boil wasn't thinking too hard on his endeavors until he heard Xiu speak up again and looked up as he worked down another bite, with which he'd nearly downed the treat. Impressive? Well, it wasn't easy, but he just wanted the sugar. And booberries. He briefly glanced at the tart, then back at the ghoul before attempting what might have been a shrug.
Which nearly caused him to lose the treat. It was saved only by stuffing the last of it hastily in his mouth of chewing. Better there than on the floor, even if it wasn't his most graceful moment in life. Still, success was his, and he did look a bit smug about it. Yeaaaa... he was awesome at this.
Totally. And that was tasty. Now back to licking at his paw dainty after swallowing. Cleanliness was close to Jack-liness. Kaiyumi You'll give him a complex. neutral Don't do iiiit.

This fox. This fox. It really was one hell of a minipet, wasn't it? At least, this was definitely the first time that she had encountered one so clever (as if her overly excited reaction didn't already give that away). Glancing over towards the creature, she found herself absently lifting her clean hand towards his fur, fingers twitching slightly.
...Would he mind if she pet him? Xiu was careful to keep her hand in Molan's view as she moved it forward, pausing before she could actually touch him. "...May I pet you, please?" Perhaps she sounded a little more formal than necessary but...ah well.
"Oh--and of course, you're welcome to another treat if you want!" She piped up suddenly, glancing down at the box that was, although missing two desserts, still quite full. "Or I can just give some to your owner if you prefer! Uh..." The baku paused, and then glanced around.
"If I may ask, where do you live anyways?" since he had been wandering around the demon dorms, she assumed that he must have been owned by a demon...but it wasn't impossible for him to have wandered in from somewhere else.

It was a good thing he couldn't hear the ghoul. Or read minds. A very good thing. As if any demon needed their ego inflated more than it usually was. He was still idly licking a few last crumbs from his paw when she lifted her hand, watching her curiously as he tilted his head a bit. He didn't mind a pat or anything, but she really seemed a bit unsure about it. Like he was going to freak out, bite, and then potentially bolt.
Come now. He'd been nothing but a model tame beast. Why act that way? Letting his now clean paw slip back to the couch so he was sitting properly he slightly headbutted at the hand. Yes. Petting was fine. So long as it was proper scratches and such and not something peculiar. Because some people had tried to pet him backwards before. Weird, strange people... who got growled up. Though honestly, Xiu was far too nice a ghoul to do something as evil as that, so he wasn't too worried about it. Rather just shuffled his spot a bit for proper attention grabbing, because anyone with a natural form that had the right physique for it would agree. It was actually fairly like a massage of sorts to have someone pet you a bit. Only a fool turned down such things.
As his brother put it. He was a good little lap fox is treated properly.
Though he did flick his tail a few times at the mention of another treat. While he wouldn't have minded, it seemed unfair to take them all. She had gotten them for the other denizens. He could go buy some later. The next question was a bit tricky. After a quick shake of his head to denote he was fine on snacks, he merely lifted a paw and gestured as well as he could toward the floor. Yep. He lived down a floor. Good enough.
Kaiyumi Pets are good, he still can't talk and she asks difficult questions to answer.

The baku jumped a little at the headbutt, clearly surprised that the fox was so willing to let her touch him. She hesitated for a good few seconds before finally lowering her hand, gently stroking his head. Before long, Xiu's tail began to swish in time, and she moved to give him a light ear scritch as she grew more comfortable. "You're very polite," She mused aloud with a grin, "And quite possibly one of the best tea party partners I've had." Not that she really had a lot--sometimes everyone was a little too busy to sit down and relax here at Amity--but still!
...Of course, the conversation during this particular tea party had been a lot more subdued than she was used to.
Noting the tail flick, she opened the box back up and held it out to him once more, lifting a finger to her lips and smiling. "One more wouldn't hurt, if you'd like! Besides, I can always go back and buy more." There was nothing wrong with sharing anyways--she would just consider it taken from her share (which wasn't a bad thing, considering how many sweets she usually ate anyways).
It took her a moment to realize that he was gesturing down, her pink eyes lighting up the moment it struck her. "Oh, really?! Truthfully, I don't know a lot of people who live downstairs, except..." ...Well, only a few people came to mind. Two, really. "Etzer and Molan. Had we gone over ego stroking? Because honestly, such a prideful creature as Molan really didn't need it. Still, it was too late as the sweet words escaped the Baku. Yes, he was an excellent little tea partner. Actually he loved tea parties. Good stuff, potentially good talks(to listen to), and so calm and peaceful. He couldn't find any reason not to love them, so being a great tea partner was actually a great bit of praise in his book and had the fox giving a little chur of a noise. He didn't purr, he wasn't a cat, but honestly there had to be a pleased noise. So it was sort of a mixture of a grunt and a purr more than anything.
Excellent, life was good.
Though she'd spoil him to death at this rate. Oh well, shift of dorms. So being the demon who could never say no to a tasty treat that he was, Molan eyed the delights before carefully shifting again, balancing himself on his hind legs once more before performing his delicate balancing act again. Delicious little piece of cake. It looked remarkably like a shortcake with some berried on it, so if anything is said he had a thing for fruits. Which he did. He did know how to watch what he ate to a small degree. Though, his balancing wasn't quite as perfect as Xiu likely got to watch the entire fox tilt to one side as he worked to regain control of it and then sit carefully.
Close enough. No cake on the floor or couch. The whip cream had been earned. So with that he carefully took to nibbling at it smug as usual as he enjoyed that little treat. Though as she started up again she would learn that foxes could smile. Oh yes, they could and his expression was about as amused as it could be as she mentioned he and his brother. Irony, he saw great and utter irony in all of this as he delicately took a bite of cake. He might have laughed if he could, but instead Xiu was dealing with a knowing look on the foxes face.
Yep. He might have been a small bit of a troll,but he meant no ill by it. Hey. This cake was not a lie.Kaiyumi Awww yea slowest tags in the west~ *Zoidbergs through.*

In all fairness, even if Xiu had known who she was speaking to, she probably would have bestowed the same compliments to the boil. After all, he was a good teatime partner to be sure, and it was nice to actually get a chance to sit down and peacefully enjoy some desserts together. The little noise he emitted made her look up at him in surprise, and then she laughed, cleared happy that he was happy if her waving tail was of any indication. "We should do this again sometime! You're more than welcome to drop by my room whenever you feel like it--it's upstairs, room 268."
So long as his owner was okay with it, of course. The fact that she was inviting a mini over for desserts and tea felt a little funny, but there was nothing wrong with making new friends.
She was careful to hold the box very still as the fox rose up on his hind legs to pick up another treat, her pink eyes following him in fascination. That really did take some skill! And look at that dexterity too! She waited until he had comfortably settled back down before closing the box again, settling back into her seat as a light smile spread over her lips.
"Do you know them? Etzer and Molan, I mean. They're brothers, and they're very kind--...ah. You aren't theirs, are you?" The idea had struck her suddenly, and she cocked her head to the side as she examined the creature before her. Well...coloration-wise, he looked like something one of the boils would own. He was certainly very elegant as well, and--
"Mmm...Molan's, maybe?" She murmured aloud, furrowing her brows. So close, Xiu. So close.Raja AND NEARLY THREE MONTHS LATER.............
