Information
We're closed to new players, sorry!

Location: A recently abandoned gymnastics center, middle room. It is completely empty, but the concrete and windows are in very good condition.

Time: 2200 hours

This is an informal training session. ICly, it began as Pandora agreeing to help Maia's brother practice sparring and inviting a few others along. If you know Maia or Pandora you can assume you obtained an informal invitation to join them. Other Order members are welcome to have heard through chain word of mouth.

Negaverse: We ask that, this time, you refrain from crashing this session. There are three PC Guardian Cats that are working to dampen power signatures, so nothing should seem out of the ordinary.

General Format: An introductary period, followed by practice sparring. If the IC group becomes to large, the group will be broken into pairs and split.

"Maia," Pandora's voice was loud in the nearly empty concrete building. The Senshi of Jealousy rose from sitting on a few pads she had rolled onto the floor. They were too slippery to fight on, but they might be able to save a few backs if people tried to land their opponents onto them instead of the hard concrete.

She made her way towards the fellow redhead, eyes glancing to a face she certainly had not seen before.

"You must be Shangri-La. It's nice to meet you." After she'd pulled Maia into a brief, greeting hug, she extended a hand towards the Page. "You ready for some scrapes and bruises?"
PostPosted: Sat Apr 06, 2013 5:07 pm

Pandora had been prompt and for that Maia was grateful, for she had to make sure she had all her messages sent out and that the guardian cat she had stumbled upon earlier in the week would be there. The cat currently wasn't there, she was probably as Maia had asked her, attempting to gather other's just in case this little session became a little larger than she anticipated. Size wise, the room was big enough for many, but one guardian wouldn't cut it to hide them if too many people showed up.

She smiled and walked over to Pandora, happily excepting the hug while her brother stood beside her looking out of place and feeling out of place too. "Hey Pandora," she said stepping back to allow her brother to respond to Pandy's greeting.

Shangri-la ever the gentleman of course, took Pandora hand and shook it, but groaned at the mention of scrapes and bruises. "Yes, that's me and you're Pandora, yes." He tried to give a kind smile, but he was hardly enthused about what was about to occur. "I'm as ready as I'm going to be I suppose. I'm one big bruise most of the time anyway."

Maia frowned and gave her brother a light push, "he's exaggerating. Really I'm not that hard on him." She was, but she felt the need to save face at the moment. "I don't remember how many comfirmations I got, but I'm sure the other's will be arriving soon. I told Sheena a guardian I met to meet us here, so she should be here soon too. I hope she will bring other's, otherwise this may be short lived."

While Shangri-la seemed nervous and out of place, Pandora was just beginning to fall into her element.

"Let's make tonight's goal to bruise as little as possible then, yeah?" She clapped him on the elbow before releasing the handshake. Pandora's eyes traveled over his shoulders, to the entranceway.

"I hope it's sooner rather than later." The three of them together wasn't a huge power signature, but the larger it became, the more suspicious it would be when it simply disappeared. Pandora had encountered enough chaos the last few weeks to last her a lifetime.

"Since you're here, we may as well debrief a lesson plan. We should probably start out easy." Pandora passed a smile towards Shangri-la. "And pair people up with power-levels close to theirs. What do you think?"
PostPosted: Sat Apr 06, 2013 8:46 pm

Shang nodded and gave a smile, "I would very much appreciate that. Yes, I do believe I like the way you think. I could definitely use a bruise or two less." He looked at his sister as if to say, please take a lesson.

Maia however looked at him, her eyes clearly saying the other side wants to kill or corrupt you, still she simple shook her head. "I'm sure most everyone will be willing to agree to that, but it's a bit easier said than done."

She nodded to Pandora not at all minding her taking the lead with things. It was something they needed more off and she wasn't going to run over it. She could take a backseat. "Sounds like a plan to me. That will leave me a bit more free to try to keep things in order. I'm still not sure who all will show up. Do you want to keep to pairs or groups. I think this time yes, it's probably good to keep power levels even to see how this goes. I don't want to see people getting totally trounced."

Shang stood back listening, but he agreed, "Yes I think that would be good to. Fighting someone on your own level is still challenge, even with prior training."

Without knowing how many people were coming, it was impossible to make a solid plan. Pandora's teeth worried the inside of her left cheek.

"How about we try for groups of three?" she eventually decided. It was hardly a stroke of brilliance; there were three of them there.

"Two can spar, and the third can watch and offer suggestions." If they kept the groups rotating consistently, maybe they could create a steady flow of new ideas. Unfortunately, a perfect plan in Pandora's mind was sure to be torn apart by differing fighting styles, people who did not like working together, and disproportionate group numbers.

Pandora took a deep, long breath. She was not looking forwards to the arduous wait where minutes seemed like hours. The senshi's eyes kept moving towards the entrance as if waiting for a horde to burst through and end their gathering before it had even begun.

Shang and Maia both nodded thinking it sounded like a fairly solid plan. Maia smiled, "I think that could work. Groups of three sparring, two spar, one watches, two or maybe three hit and then they switch out the watchers. Simple enough yes. The groups can decided how to switch."

Shangri-la nodded, "That sounds like a good way to make sure you get to chance to spar and a chance to rest. It also helps I think to be able to watch other's movement."

Maia gave an affirmative nod, "yes. The first watcher has a bit of an advantage because they get to watch the other's fight."

Maia and Shang looked toward the door, feeling the approach of another, order oriented thankfully and Maia smiled happy to see their little impromtu session might be a success.

With a swish of her long fluffy tail, Julienne approached the meeting place that the other guardian cat had mentioned. Her name had been…Sheena or something. She had seemed very nice…and it had been nice to get some direction. It was maddening to have a purpose but no way of finding out how to fulfill it.

The large cat looked around, then let out a little sigh of relief. There were definitely senshi auras in that building…and also one muddled aura of…of something. It seemed slightly familiar, like she should know what it is, but perhaps it was too soon to remember everything. Oh well. There wasn’t much to do to night save for introducing herself to some of the senshi and helping to dampen their auras…though she might need some help figuring out how to do that.

How in the world had she managed to forget so much? It hadn’t seemed like it was too long since she had last been on the job, running around with…

The cat paused, shaking her head. With someone. Perhaps several someones, to be honest. She’d work out the particulars later, tonight it was just about meeting those she was destined to meet, and do her duties as a guardian cat. And first things were first.

She made her way to the door, scratching on it lightly, giving a meow. There was no way in the world she was going to waste the energy to jump up and try to paw that door open. No sir.

Sheena had spread the word and she hoped other cats would show up. It was exciting for her to see such effort and an attempt at some sort of unity and organization. Of course Sheena had agreed that night she met Maia, she'd taken an instant liking to the girl, a go getter, though she couldn't exactly say the same about the page with her.

She trouted up to the door, spotting Julienne another guardian, she met in her endeavor to help with the little training session. The other cat showing up, only liken Sheena to her more. "Hey," she said coming up beside the fluffy cat at the closed door, "glad to see you made it. Thanks for coming. This all is very exciting."

She looked to the closed door and frowned, she could attempt to get it open, but she also thought it better to wait for it it be opened.

Maia and Shang were both looking at the door but even though they were looking neither really realized the problem with a closed door until they heard mewing. Maia looked wide eyed for a second before she laughed and went over to open the door.

She was greeted by the sight of two guardian and smiled, "Hello. Thank you both for coming. We'll be starting shortly when more people show up. It's just three right now." She spotted an old wedge seeming left behind and used it to prop open the door for the time being then motioned for the pair to follow her.

"I'm Maia, it's nice to meet you," she said to Julienne before looking to Sheena," and of course nice to see you again too."

Feeling Maia had the door very well covered, Pandora waited in curious apprehension for the mewing at the door to be answered. As a Senshi, she'd had brief, limited contact with a Guardian upon her awakening, but it felt like a blur even now more than ever. Her mind filtered out the memory as a dream automatically.

It was impossible to deny the two fuzzy-faces peering into their compound; faces they would rely heavily upon in the next hour.

"Hello," she greeted when they entered, formality slipping onto her tongue. Pandora approached the two cats and was very aware of their difference in heights. Did she pet them in greeting, offer a handshake, pick them up?

Pandora simply defaulted to getting down to business. "Maia and I are very appreciative of your help. We'll be using the entirety of this space." The Senshi gestured with an outstretched arm. "You're welcome to get comfortable anywhere you'd like, and Maia and I will make sure the sparring keeps a clear distance from you." For all intents and purposes, they looked like normal cats, and the last thing they needed was tails to get stepped on.

A glance, towards a cheap clock leaned against a wall (she'd bought it the day previous from a dollar store). "It's almost ten, so I expect them soon."

"Onward!"

"Shut up."

The flat exchange heralded the page being dragged along. Zia enjoyed sparring, but for her, it had no purpose and was only recreational. So when she heard about this little event from Maia her first thought was her brother, and his apparent allergy to training in general.

Alfheim didn't like to fight. Actually, he didn't like the work that went into fighting, and sparring was just unpleasant. And he certainly didn't want to train for battle.

He had no idea how he lost this argument. Was it even an argument? He'd just gotten off work and the night was already kind of a haze as he could only muster up enough autonomy to snark at her prodding.

"Hi Maia!" Zia bounced up, only to have to run back a few steps and drag her heaping, six foot sloth back with her.

The insistent buzzing in her head had finally forced her to transform to pull out her phone and that's when she'd gotten her invitation to this little gathering. It wasn't the sparing that had brought her here, in the end, as much as the chance to get to know other people on her own side. And since Pandora had saved her skin once, she did feel she sort of owed it to her to come when asked.

Didn't mean she had to come powered up though. As much as instinct said to protect her identity, she had to believe that these people could keep her secret because there was no other way she would have come to this.

Slipping inside the large room, Orah clutched her messenger bag in both hands, shyly making her way towards the group. The only powered person she recognized was Pandora, so she directed her wave of greeting to her.

"Hey, I got your message. You probably don't recognize me, but I'm Sailor Ida. My name's Orah."

"Another thing you need to know," Sessrumnir said to his companion as he made his way into the old gym. "Knights are never told when gatherings like this take place."

It wasn't a comment of malcontent, but rather an observation that had been made over the time he'd been a knight. If anything, it amused him, a wide grin was spread across his face. On his heel he'd dragged Palatine, still a new Page in his book, and one that he felt personally responsible for since they were now somewhat related... and she just happened to know he was Michael Gallo in his civilian life.

"It's the technology we're stuck with," he further explained, "Sure, we can send letters, but don't expect to be invited to parties with a text, like senshi can." For now, it seemed as though people were only just showing up, and the only reason he'd had to check the place out was the sudden disappearance of a few Order signals. It was obvious now that there were a few cats present, and their influence must have been what erased the signal. "Cats can mask our signals, if you didn't already pick that up. Doesn't always work, though. There was a large meeting of knights and senshi this past July, and we ended up being attacked by the Negaverse and DMC cronies..." he said to Palatine as he glanced around at the people gathering there.

For a few moments, his eyes locked on Zia, before looking away. Ever since that night he'd run into her and she'd had something of a mental breakdown, he'd assumed she'd had something to do with the senshi and/or knights... but for her to wander around as a civilian during these things...

"Sessrumnir of Jupiter," he said to anyone interested, lifting his hand to give a small, mock-salute.

“Right, so,” Palatine responded to her oft-times unwanted companion, “how’d you score an invite then?”

She had no idea what she was doing tagging along with Sessrumnir except for the fact that he was the only one she personally knew outside of being a powered superhero-vigilante—and she couldn’t say she was all that proud of admitting it either, considering how grating the sound of his pompous voice was and how often his smug grin got on her last nerve. She told herself she should be above such immaturity when it came to their constant bickering, seeing as she was a good decade older than him, but she was seriously beginning to not care.

So she was a bit stunted emotionally, so what?

Palatine glanced around their current setting and tried not to feel uncomfortable by all the young faces, picking out the ones that were familiar to her and making a mental note of the ones she knew she’d never seen before. She paid particular attention to the ones she knew to be Senshi, as she hadn’t had the chance to encounter one just yet. The wings sported by a Senshi in mint green in particular gained a moment of her attention, as did the relatively powerful power signature attached. The cats she peered at with mild curiosity.

“Palatine, Page of Venus,” she said for the benefit of anyone who might feel like listening, and added distastefully, “if you couldn’t tell already from all the pink.”

He didn't know why he'd come, he disliked gatherings immensely, but Ian had been prodded and badgered until he'd agreed to come. He hadn't agreed to come powered up nor had he agreed to be involved in anything though, he'd made sure that he'd only said he'd come to this gathering. Sheena hadn't let up till he had agreed, persistent cat she was. Shaking his head Ian pushed the door open and slipped in as silently as possible.

A glance around the room as he looked for a place to stay unnoticed, he didn't like large groups of people especially when he knew no one there, had Ian ignoring everyone around him and by extension ignoring Sheena who was also in the room. Being that they were in a gymnasium the dark haired teen, who was not powered up, went to stand pressed against the side of the bleachers in an effort to be as small and unassuming as possible. He didn't want to garner any attention.

He'd rather watch, and listen, to everyone else actually. Brushing his hair from the one eye it always hung in front of Ian sighed softly. He hoped his didn't get larger than it already was. He might have to slip out if it did. He didn't want to remain here if he was going to be uncomfortable. At least while he was here he would pay close attention to those who were here, and those who would come, he might as well get to know names and faces while he was here.

They were definitely going to need the guardian cats. Pandora was ever-thankful for Maia's foresight, and made a mental tally of number and announced rankings of those arrived.

Names and faces she did not recognize were to be expected, but one talking to her about getting a message, she certainly was not. Pandora's hair stood on end as she surveyed the girl who had waved to her. A quick glance behind revealed no one else.

Oh.

"Hey." Pandora did her best to give the girl a smile. Why wasn't Ida powered up? As dangerous as large power signatures were, revealing your identity was even moreso.

"We should probably keep that information between us for now," Pandora whispered. Not that a civilian aiding Order wasn't dangerous for Orah on its own. There was always a chance that someone here was playing both sides.

"I'm glad you could make it. Your things should be safe near the Guardians. Make yourself comfortable, Maia and I will explain everything in a few moments." Pandora nodded a head towards the Eternal. With one last glance at Orah to make sure she didn't need anything else, she made her way towards the two of the knight-faction who had just entered.

"Welcome, Sessrumnir, Palatine." A hand was held out to both of them in greeting. "I'm Sailor Pandora, jealousy. Feel free to get a sense of your surroundings. We'll be starting shortly. I believe the Guardian's are where they'll be for most of the evening, so be especially aware of them." After a brief pause, she added, "What's your ranking, Sessrumnir?" So far, so good. The large amount of lower-level Order personnel meant they could afford a bigger group.
