User Image The world was so...big... It left the male to wander and crave to see more, though he went hiding when another was heard. This day, he was rather convinced he was alone, and had gone swimming! Such a fun thing, he enjoyed the water! It was so warm today as well! Such a lovely spring day!

"Wah~ If only my caregiver were here! She would enjoy this." He rolled, wiggling a little bit, looking up to the sky when he knew he was able. Was she there watching him? Or was she at the cave, taking care of the others... "I love you!" He smiled. Love. Warmth and care for the one that raised his egg. Yes, he was happy. For now at least.

It was turning out to be a rather warm day. Usually if Longwei stayed within his cave the heat wouldn't bother him, but how would he ever find other males if he stayed in his cave all the time? No, he needed to be outside, where things happened. So it came to be that the fish scaled dragon flew about, searching for something interesting to toy with.

Eventually the warmth got to him. His mouth and throat feeling dry he flew to the nearest water source. It didn't take long to find, and as he took a drink of the water cool and refreshing water he noticed that he had somehow over looked a swimmer.

Xiaotong, much like his brother, was out and about. He usually was though; just like his brother, he didn't much enjoy the seclusion of hiding in caves. They were good for sleeping and privacy and getting out of bad weather, but were very boring and lonely if you had no one else to be with. Seeing as the younger sibling never had anyone, and he'd be damned if he shared a cave with his brother again, he was usually lonely.

Unlike his brother, Longwei, Xiaotong walked. He enjoyed flying but felt like sometimes he just missed too many things. His walk brought him to the same water resource his brother was using. 'How in the hell do we always manage to run into each other?' He asked himself as he approached. 'Are we fated to forever be in each other's hair all the time?' As he thought this he too spotted the swimming dragon. He looked rather happy to be there. It made Xaiotong smile a bit, he didn't often see others that happy or blissfully unaware of company. "Hello there!" He called out, ignoring Longwei's presence on the opposite embankment.

Eh? The cool water was nice, and a wonderful distraction, but at the same time it seemed to mask the arrival of someone... or rather two someones as he found out, turning to look to the voice whom had called to him. "O-oh! Hello!" A friendly one, he concluded, seeing the smile and the kind tone. Dog Bite was alright with that. He smiled a bit and gave a shy wave before finding it polite to swim to shore and come out. "Ah... hello! I...uh... I'm not in your territory am I? Or..." He was a bit flustered, being that he didn't know this other dragon, or the other that he wasn't near.

Xiaotong's smile grew a little more as the swimming dragon made his way towards him. "No no, you're not in my territory. Or his for that matter, so if he says anything don't listen to him." He replied, gesturing to his brother on the other side. "I'm just out for a stroll today, hoping to meet new dragons."

Longwei frowned. Why was it that no matter where he went he would always run into his brother? Was the island not big enough for the two of them? Maybe Xiaotong stalked him, that was a much more reasonable explanation. He was stalking him and he was determined to make sure he never got ahead in his pursuits, a troublesome shadow. A low growl rumbled in his throat at the thought as he narrowed his golden eyes. He'd settle this.

The fish scaled dragon rose up into the air and hurdled himself across the lake, catching his brother by surprise. Arms outstretched he had him in his clutches as they barreled onto the ground. "Stop following me!" Longwei shouted, his voice commanding and angry, ignoring the other dragon completely for now.

"Oh, alright then. I'm gla-" He let out a rather awkward and scared sound. The dragon before him suddenly being taken by surprise and plowed down in such a manner. "Y-you... h-he..." As if her were a youngling again, the male chewed slightly on his tail, not wanting to get too close to the fight. But he'd dare not leave. He thought he was making a friend. And that possible friend may have been in trouble.

Xiaotong should have known that his brother would get explosive over something so stupid as this. Granted, he didn't want to see the other male all the time or keep running into him unexpectedly all the time either, but he wasn't going to hurl himself at him for it. The black male growled as he wrestled with his older sibling, snapping his jaws near his head and pushing him off while he was momentarily distracted. "Longwei! Be still! I'm not following you, you brute. It isn't my fault that we keep running into each other like this. You didn't have to tackle me, gods." Xiaotong huffed, tail flicking in agitation.

The red and blue dragon picked himself up from off the ground with a low growl, still unhappy with his brother. "I can't wait until you or I die, then I'll never have to see you again." Harsh words but he really didn't give a damn. Finally he noticed the dragon in the water and turned to look at him. He looked frightened and unsure, probably because of that scuffle. With his tail in his mouth like that he hardly looked like the kind of male he'd want around. "Who's this?"

Xiaotong recognized that look on his brother's face. Not contempt, but definitely thinking lesser of the dragon in the water. "We were just getting to that when you attacked me." He grumbled.

"M-Me!?" Right. He'd been the one spotted by the kinder of the pair... "I...o-oh yes... my...my name is Dog Bite... Er...." He took a step back, stumbling as his foot sunk into some mud and left him hitting the ground a bit hard. "Oof!" His body quivered as he looked up, still quite scared of what just happened.

Xiaotong sighed at how the other male was reacting, knowing full well why. "Longwei, back off. Your scaring him." His brother glared at him for trying to tell him to do something and he rolled his eyes, stepping forward and shoving him out of the way. "Don't worry about him, he should leave you alone." Should, and for the most part.

Longwei snorted and looked away. "Not worth my time anyways."

The younger male sighed. "I apologize for my brother. My name is Xiaotong, and this is Longwei." He offered another smile, trying to calm Dog Bite down a bit and reassure him.

"Xiaotong...." He swallowed. "It's...a very nice name..." His ears twitched slightly, appreciative that the dragon wasn't rude or anything. "Longwei... I...feel like I've heard that name before...but..." He wasn't very sure where. He glanced at the more hostile of the brothers before looking back to Xiao.

The fish scaled dragon tilted his head to the side a bit. "Heard my name? Where have you heard my name?" It filled him with a small sense of pride. So, his name was getting around. Good! He wanted other dragons to know about him! Maybe they'd be interested in joining his currently non-existent harem.

"Thank you. Dog Bite is a rather interesting name." Xiaotong's eyes wandered down a bit to the necjlace around the other male's neck. "Where did you get that tooth, if I may ask? It's rather curious. And why don't you come out of the water?"

"O-oh..." He swallowed and smiled nervously, coming out to sit before them. "Uh... I was...wandering past the beach... A couple males were arguing and I heard your name, but... I... didn't want to get involved so I turned around..." He scratched at the ground. "My...tooth..." He looked down at it. "Oh...I was attacked when I was little... by wolves... My guardian pulled this out of me and got a two legged to make it a necklace."

"Males at the beach arguing about me?" Oh, this sounded like a wonderful thing. Longwei grinned and looked away, wondering if he'd be able to find these males. Were they good looking? He hoped so, he'd hate to waste his time on homely or plain looking dragons.

Xaiotong ignored his brother, knowing where his mind was taking him. "Attacked by wolves? That must have been terrifying. Lucky your guardian was watching." Hmm...guardians...did he or his brother have one? He couldn't remember meeting one.

While he was lost in thought Longwei came back to their world. He sneered at his younger. "Why are you wasting time on this small talk, Xiaotong? It's pointless." He looked at Dog Bite, sizing him up again. "Attacked by wolves as a wurm and lived? How did you manage that?" He was waiting to hear something that would impress him, though he wasn't holding his breath. Dog Bite didn't seem like the type to defend himself, nor did he look much like a fighter. He was meek, and probably pretty weak too.

"Oh..." He swallowed, flicking a rock with a free claw. "Well... I wandered into the woods near my raising cave... and I didn't know what a wolf was yet... they look like my guardian kinda....but... well it attacked me, so I bit into her face." He smiled slightly. "I tore off an ear too, and that was when my guardian found me. I just kept biting at the wolf's face and it stopped moving.." He smiled a bit, seeming proud. "That was my first hunt! Or...so my guardian said."
