It had taken a while, but Arian had finally come to the conclusion that trying to ignore the fact that there was a secret war going on by refusing to henshin up wasn’t working.

Getting attacked as a civilian for a second time by another of those Dark Mirror wraith things had helped.

For a moment the dark-haired teen stared at the latest incarnation of his henshin pen, once again struck by how much more elaborate it was compared to the simple gold pen he had received from ********* almost two years ago.

Finally, however, he henshined up for the second time since that night .

The first time had been the night before and Athene summoned his senshi phone in order to tap out a message.

He’d started with Dear Polaris…

However the Polaris had been quickly deleted and replaced with Princess Polaris, Athene finding himself falling back on formality unsure of where he stood with the other, given his disappearance from anything even remotely senshi for three months give or take.

It took three tries, however he’d finally managed to settle on a message with the eventual message going as follows:

Message to Polaris
Dear Princess Polaris,
I apologise for disappearing as suddenly as I did.
If you have some time, then I would be grateful if we could meet if at all possible.
I will be at the
(he listed the location of the abandoned warehouse where he had once fought a youma with Ate and Pomona as part of senshi training) at nine o’ clock from tomorrow onwards for the next few nights.

Sailor Athene

He’d nervously hit send and had even more nervously turned up at the warehouse with about fifteen or so minutes to spare.

It hadn't been his best piece of typing, the words almost as stilted as the correspondence that he and his father occasionally exchanged, but it was something that Athene knew he had to do – after all the dark-haired senshi knew that apologies were something that should be given in person and he owed Polaris one for disappearing as he had done so.
