Having finished handing out most of the scareon that he had an idea for a home for, aka ditching a pair on Efflo and a frost dragon and ditching one in Mai's room, Andrew realized there was someone he had yet to check up on sense the swarm had hit. He pulled out his phone walking the halls. chirigami Text Hey Olivia, are you still around? He would have asked if she was alive, but, he realized that it was an awkward question to ask an undead.

As much of a clean freak she was, most of the work that Olivia had started in her overhaul had started a bit later than she had intended. For one, she was actually kind of tired after the long battle against the shadow creatures that once she returned to her room she found herself in a lull on her bed - it was probably the most it had seen of her, usually occupied by her small collection of mini pets.
For sometime, she had laid there with eyes half lidded, unsure of the passage of time. An oddly familiar voice had started to call out to her from somewhere, hoping to grab hold but never got the chance with Olivia's one track mind on the state of her room. It was a little stronger than a possible conversation and the wight was soon enough up, changed and sitting on the floor shifting through bits of glass and mangled items; debating on what to keep and throw away. And what to do with the crystallized looking hearts she had found.
Diligently her fingers worked, picking through and discarding and placing neatly things to one side. Almost in a zone with her task before a chime filled the air, pulling her out and stealing her attention. Olivia blinked. Her still yet unnamed blue Otokoyo stirred and mumbled in its slumber, pressed against her and unhappy as she shifted and searched in her pockets for the ringing phone.
Oh.
It was from Andrew, her eyes widened at the realization and a smile tugged at her lips. She was a little curious at his wording. Where would she have gone?

The fire demon had found a rather uncomfortable position on his chair. While his couch was completely gone, his game chair managed to survive the on slot of shadowlings everywhere. The magazines that had been on it were lost, well, at least he didn't have to clean them up. He stared into space trying to decide what to do next. The Beebs in the corner of the room stared back at him and he scowled at the thing. Why didn't it just die? Nope, it was still alive and there. The other pets would at least stay in the closet. he was scowling when his phone beeped, letting him know of a text. He glanced at it. She was alive! Sort of. He set to clicking away at it. chirigami Text: Oh good. (He stopped staring at the phone. He hadn't actually hear of anyone dying during the attacks. Not even Miasma. Darn.) Did you survive the shadow swarm ok? (He assumed she did, she was able to text back anyway, but he couldn't think of much else.)

The piles remained untouched as Olivia remained silent and still, staring at her phone and awaiting the reply that she hoped would come. Why would Andrew text her if he didn't intend to write more? One simple question didn't seem like it would be enough.
The little movement pleased the Otokoyo, good pillow, don't move. But let out another disgruntled sigh when Olivia made a pleased little sound after another chime. Her fingers worked slowly and clumsily across the screen keyboard as she replied.

Poor Olivia, he wondered if she was actually wearing the dress when they ate it. He had to assume so, that one had gotten a chunk of his hair, and chipped his horn, something he was rather unhappy about. He'd have to file it down later. chirigami Text: I was down by the clubs. We fought a really big one too. They got some of my stuff too. I managed to chase them out though. Do you want to talk? I can just call you or we could meet up somewhere. He didn't mind typing a little, but she seemed like she wasn't too busy at the moment and he preferred voice. He didn't really think she would want to meet up, she was still afraid of fire, but she didn't seem to hate him yet. chirigami Text: Or we can just keep texting if your are busy.

Gnaw had somehow gotten himself a piece of glass and began to do as he had been so aptly named. But Olivia had noticed what her small kushi had begun to do as she continued and waited for the next reply, sure it was going to appear this time as the last one had. Her blue eyes didn't seem to blink at they stared at the screen of her eyephone.
When it appeared, her smile brightened even though the message wasn't the happiest of accounts. And ... well, something that brought her into a load of dilemma. Reading if over again, the ghoul found her body slumping and her smile falling for a brief moment trying to figure out how she would reply. Usually, it would be so easy. But this was Andrew, a flame demon.
Olivia started to write something, before deleting it. Tried again and then read the new text as it appeared. Continuing the non-verbal conversation could be tempting, but she was also one to prefer being in the company of others. Even if. .. well.phantompanther13 text to AndrewThey were there too? I did not know. I am glad you are ok. And sad you lost some stuff losing stuff is not nice. Olivia sent off the message, still not addressing his request. Flames but ...phantompanther13 text to AndrewNot busy. Cleaning will take a while. Wouldn't mind talking. Where at? She had seen his tail behind a lantern, maybe.. it wouldn't be so bad this time. She could just think of it like that, right?

At first, he didn't get an answer to his question. But she was glad he wasn't dead. Did that mean she liked him, fire and all? She was less bothered on the thanksgiving trip, but he wouldn't be wearing that stupid thing again. but it was so hard to tell what she was feeling over the phone. He knew his offer of meeting up would make her uncomfortable, but... it was best to see for himself how bad off she was. And then the second text came. He frowned, thinking. Where would be a good place for them? She still had cleaning, but that was understandable. A lot of students were probably in the same boat. He should be cleaning somewhat himself, but thankfully most of the things that were in drawers stayed there. chirigami How about by the lake. We can bring food. That sounded a little like a date. He was really trying to think of some place neutral. In fact maybe water would help her not worry about the whole burning thing. Hopefully. Maybe he would just buy her a fire proof coat one of these days. She seemed to bundle up a lot.

The thought it could be a date didn't even cross Olivia's simple little mind, probably because she didn't understand what always happened on dates or what kind of activities were most frequented - it was a little different when one didn't always need to eat. Huh, did she have.. anything? Her brows knit together for a moment.phantompanther13 text to Andrew:I don't have anything food wise. Would he be okay with that? Well, perhaps something could be found. Or he'd just have to deal with bringing his own snacks to this little randevu; he'd be the only one eating anyways.
phantompanther13 text to Andrew:Meet soon? Few minutes? Ten? Something? Sending that message seemed to suddenly rocket her back into the situation at hand, aside from food she was agreeing to meet with Andrew in an open place. Olivia could feel something spark, as if her chest cavity wanted to thumb to signal the nerves that were beginning to rise. What was she doing?
"It'll be fine..." she told herself as she pocketed her phone to get herself up from her comfortable spot on the floor. The otokoyo protested with a small yowl, not wanting to lose its nice resting spot. With a little stretch to knock out kinks in its limbs, she wordlessly followed Olivia as the ghoul made her way out the door and towards the lake (as Gnaw continued his work on the glass unnoticed).
At least it was a lake. Lakes were nice...

She had nothing food wise... then again she might not even eat. Undead were odd like that, but as long as there was FEAR they are generally fine. He's still have something to snack on. He got up stretching and looking at this stores... only to realize he was oddly bear. Jacken Shadowlings. Another beep alerted him. He glanced at the phone. chirigami Text: Ten minutes is fine. The demon roamed about, looking for his deck of cards, and stashed them in a pocket. What else... food... right. He grabbed a bag of dried fruit. They were going to just hang out right? Cards would give them something to do, maybe.

Ten minutes was ideal, especially since Olivia had to figure out where she was going and then head to the location - which pretty much was clear across campus. It was a nice walk at least, allowing for more exploration. And with her own little shadow to boot, which she did realize was with her with a surprised little 'oh!' The wight didn't mind the company.
The duo made it to the lake, unsure of how much time it actually took them and, naturally as one would expect, without any sort of food in hand. It wasn't a front runner in Olivia's mind and honestly it gone and out the window when she put her eyes across the large body of water. "Wow," she breathed out with a wide smile on her face. It was so pretty! The otokoyo looked at it in a judging manner, sticking as close as it could to the young ghoul.
Especially with the nervous feeling that kept creeping up on her from this whole situation. But she kept telling herself that things would be okay. Because Andrew was a friend. Even if he was made of fire. But he was a friend, "right," she told herself putting on her best smile.
She stared into the lake, waiting and watched as the wind rippled the water softly.

He had been by the lake before, it wasn't as big as the sea by the safari, but a small part of him warned that it was a giant death trap just the same. Still, As long as he didn't get too close, he would be fine. He found Olivia already there, and called ahead, mostly to prevent her from being startled. "Hey Olivia." he waved an arm... not that he wasn't perfectly noticeable. She had a pet. A pet wearing an oddly familiar crown... he walked and stopped just about 4 feet from her, and eyed the otokoyo. "Is this yours?" it was pretty big.

She hated to dwell on things, because she didn't want that awful feeling in the pit of her stomach. It didn't have time to fester, thankfully, as she heard her name called from behind. Olivia whipped around, placing her ever present smile on her face like usual; it was a little forced, refraining from looking down as much as possible.
He was keeping his distance, both a good and bad thing rolled into one.
The otokoyo gave Andrew a steady glance, as if sizing him up to judge his character. Her ears flicked at its mention and turned her large head upward to meet Olivia's that had glanced down.
"She is now," her smile light up a little as she returned her attention back to Andrew as she replied in her odd little tone. "She showed up one day and decided to stay, which was fine by me." Who was she to turn down a beautiful creature, even though the otokoyo still totally didn't have a name yet.
All smiles again, but the silence returned. The flame demon had mentioned he wanted to talk, but she was unsure of how to press back into the matter. Or well, she could probably ask. "You wanted to talk?"

"Ahh." he looked the Otokoyo over. well as long as it didn't touch him he would put up with it, he decided. "Er... yeah. well not about anything particular. I mean maybe about you know stuff...." his tail flared up a bit, and he looked away. "I brought cards. Let's go find a bench. I can teach you to play, unless you know how I mean." ugh, why did talking to her always make him nervous? She was a zombie, and afraid of him, and yet he kept doing this to them. Why? He was worried. That's why. He glanced at the lake. Maybe he should just go shove himself in and be done with it. At least then he would feel less stupid.

Stuff. Olivia gave a little nod and not much else to his explanation. She didn't really mind that there wasn't a reason, there didn't always have to be in the presence of company after all; well at least to her, she was even fine without there needing to be a topic or even actual conversation. Still, it was nice. Like he wanted to check up on her or something, to physically make sure she was alright rather than to rely on digital words.
"I know of them," the ghoul replied with a tilt of her head (and still not letting her gaze drop past his chest), "cards, I mean." She probably could count the number of games she knew on one hand, but she still knew of a few. Which one was he referring to, she wondered.
A bench though, she wasn't... too sure of that. Wouldn't they need to be... rather close for a game of cards? Her brows knit together for a moment as she chewed a little on her bottom lip. Could they play here?

“We can play a game you know. Or I could teach you one.” Simple would probably be better he decided. She was staring at him a little odd… oh. Tail. He tried to put it behind him so she wouldn’t see it. He even lowered his wings a little, was that better? Look he was… well not on fire. At least that she could see. Well maybe is she stared in his eyes she could see the light of being a flame demon.
