Since his room was currently in shambles, Efflo had been spending most of his time outside. And since recent events had left him extremely mortified with himself, he tried to make sure it was time spent alone. Thus he opted to stray from his usual haunt near the lake, but unfortunately, it seemed students populated absolutely everywhere.

Filled with ghouls and boils cramming for exams, the library had proved to be a bust, way too conspicuous. There was no way he was touching the Creepateria. He didn’t even need to eat and though he enjoyed the sensation of being able to taste in his skullpin form, he had no desire to sit among the masses to do so. No, he thought, but perhaps the forest around the Monster dorms might turn up something tasty. The undead boil sure could use a pick-me-up. He’d even be able to stretch his legs if he wanted, all four of them.

With that plan in mind he headed out from the undead dorms, deliberately keeping his eyes down as he strode along the path.

Too many. When he agreed to help sell the latest addition to his family's business, he had expected one or maybe two pairs to be sent. Instead he had gotten more than he bargained for with about a dozen. He didn't want to have that many on hand. No matter how good the money was.

There was feeding and yeah... no. Not happening. So he ventured out with intentions to find some poor victims to advertise business with. It was out by the monster dorms that he spotted his first victim.

Why hello Mr. horse. He made a beeline for the unsuspecting pony, holding his box in hand. "Hey! Wait up." while he didn't exactly run he did pick up his pace tail flickering behind him.

It was the call of someone else down below that ripped Gabby from his blissful climb into oblivion, and he scoured the ground below to try and find the source of the noise. He was too high to see faces, so he dipped lower, finding a nice tree to circle around before landing on a high branch. From there, he pulled the leaves away and spied on the -

He saw you there, Efflo.

The boil who'd called him out - he remembered that one too, now that he thought about it - was trying to get Efflo's attention. All the better, Gabby decided. It meant he wasn't going to head in this direction for long.

Except he still was. In fact, it was obvious he was purposefully ignoring the Andrew, and headed this way. Gabby pulled his hands away, letting the leaves snap back into place to hide him. Or at least, so he thought.

Glowy. That narrowed down the possibilities a lot. And whoever it was had obviously not found their target, making it even more likely it was him. Efflo groaned and slid to a halt, turning around to face whoever was calling. There just wasn’t going to be any avoiding it.

Immediately, his face flushed. He recognized the boil, and the boil obviously recognized him and that meant he knew.

“H-hello,” he answered quietly. “Did you need something?”

Andrew was lucky that Efflo hadn’t noticed the dragon in the tree; otherwise the horse would have definitely bolted away.

"Thanks." the smaller boil caught up to the horse and panted for a moment. He stopped a bit away from the undead, making sure to keep the burning tail well away from the dry flesh.

"Hi. Sorry I never did catch your name in the whole battle thing... You know, was busy trying not to die." not that the horse was much help at all in that regard. But they weren't dead, so the flame demon wasn't going to hold it against him.

"Anyway yeah. I have something you might like." he tossed a glance up at Gabby. Yes he saw you frost dragon. You will not escape. "It's more of a sharing thing. I got a whole shipment of these, honestly way more than I expected, so I figured I'd give a few away." he held the box out in front of him and opened the lid. Two pairs of cute little eyes stare out at the horse. "Go ahead, take one."

Oh, what the hell? Gabby's discomfort left him when Andrew offered Efflo a present, and all he felt was writhing jealousy. He didn't know what was in the box, but he wanted one. He deserved one. He definitely should get one, if Efflo did. He almost dove out of the tree, but he hesitated, just enough to see Efflo's glance. It made him suck his breath in - as if somehow Efflo could hear him breathing up in the tree. But after a minute, he decided it was time to give up the ruse and claim his prize. So Gabby dropped down from the tree, and invaded the conversation obnoxiously.

"Hey." He greeted them both curtly. "Are you giving away stuff? Because I want one."

Short and to the point.

Efflo felt like his heart might beat right out of his chest. He had been wrong, very wrong. He should have run when he had the chance. The poor undead boil had run into exactly the situation he had wanted to avoid. What was he going to say? What was he going to do?

But then Gabby opened his mouth and the total lack of anything that came out, immediately turned confusion to bitterness. His doe-like deer-in-the-headlights look narrowed into the nastiest glare he could manage.

Then he turned up his nose at Gabby, and promptly shoved him out of the way.

“Woops, excuse me! Just so clumsy, you know, two-legs and all.”

He turned to Andrew, effectively putting himself between Gabby and the box. As much as he acted though, he couldn’t help secretly checking to make sure that his knees weren’t shaking.

“Oh?” he asked the demon curiously, reaching into the box to carefully pull out a furry little creature. He stared at it for a moment. “What are they?”

The aggressive touching that was passed between the two was not missed. They clearly had a thing for each other, though hate or love Andrew couldn't tell. Either way this would be good.

"They are Paopu Scareons." he answered the question, grin still on his face. "It's said that if you share them your destines are intertwined forever." he paused a moment to watch their reactions before turning on his heel, letting the new couple enjoy their new pets.
