What a beautiful day it was. The clouds were gone...there wasn't even any white puffy clouds, the windows had somehow been opened, a gentle breeze was blowing in, and where was our young heroine?
Snoozing in the sun under a window on a pillow she'd stolen from the couch. Slacker. Although something was different about her today; she was bigger and she had pink, transparent wings. It seems she'd grown overnight! They grow up so fast, don't they?
A leaf blew in through the window and landed on her nose, causing her to awaken so she could wiggle her nose around to try and get the leaf off. "Stupid thing!" She growled, smacking at the leaf with her paw and prompty getting herself hit in the face with a hard thing...what the? That'd hurt! Her pink eyes opened quickly to stare at the silver bracelet on her leg. What the?! Where had this come from?!
Anyone approaching the room would hear a loud screech and then the repeated banging of metal against a windowsill.
And obviously Serenia didn't find it strange yet that she could suddenly reach the windowsill.

That was indeed what Grimm heard upon his entry into the Feli house. Ink-black ears pricked forward as he crept towards the horrible sounds. The skelefeli's head peered cautiously around the wall, into the room the racket was coming from, only to see something spastic and pink. Oh! He knew her...kinda. She was his sister!...he thought. He was rather forgetful, and this Feli looked like Sere, only bigger.
Well. In any case, she wasn't something to be afraid of. "Hi!" he chirped, the markings on his pelt shifting like the bones beneath might as he trotted in. "Whatcha doin'?"

Clang, clang, clang! It wouldn't come off! The cheerful chirp behind her made her stop, and Sere blinked. That voice was kinda familiar. She sat down and looked behind her, jumping up in surprise and throwing herself against the wall.
It was Grimm! Only...he was...bigger! "Grimm?!" She gasped, bounding over to her brother so she could circle him to see his whole body. Longer tail...wings...bigger size...ah ha! Sere's eyes narrowed at the sight of the bracelet he wore too, tackling Grimm to the floor and pinning that leg down with her own paw.
"I was trying to get this damn bracelet off me...you've got one too..." Her head bent down to try gnawing the bracelet off the skelefeli, still not noticing that she was a grown fairy Feli.

Grimm's head tilted to the side at his sister's reaction. What was up with her? She was acting funny...well, funnier than usual, anyway.
"Hi!" he repeated at the call of his name, tail swaying to and fro. As Sere circled him he turned as well, looking rather like a puppy chasing its tail. Was there something in his fur, or what? He didn't have time to ponder--pondering, for him, was an almost unknown concept--before he was thoroughly pounced. "Wha--hey!" he whined, tail and wings flailing. "What? No stoppit leaveitalone!" he squealed, very much resembling his mother. One wouldn't think that one so scary-looking would be such a pansy, but his personality was more fitting to his sister's pelt and vice versa.

Sere stopped gnawing on the bracelet, but only because Grimm had squealed in her ear. Her eyes had squeezed shut, and she recoiled a little to pull her ears down to block out any future noise Grimm would make. Well that was weird, there were little swirly things on the ends of her ears that werent there when she went to sleep. "Jeeze, Grimm!" She hissed, ignoring the tiny ring in her ears. The pink Feli climbed off her brother and sat down beside him, gnawing on the bracelet on her own wrist while her tail gave a little flick. Only, since she wasn't used to it being so long, the puff at the end smacked her right in the face.
That had never happened before!
Had she grown bigger too? Serenia gasped, a hopeful look dawning on her. Was she demonic-looking like Verin?! She ran across the room and out the door for a moment to find a mirror, finding one on the wall next to the door and stopping in front of it. Leathery wings? Pointed tail?
...
Transparent...fairy...wings...?
Serenia's eyes widened, staring at herself in the mirror with a look of pure terror, then suddenly whimpering and walking back into the room Grimm was in with her head hanging low. "I'm a fairy!"

His ears flopped to either side of his head as he settled himself in a spinx-like position beside his sister, watching her try to chew her bracelet off. He frowned at her; why would she want to do that? It was so sparkly! Grimm giggled as Sere smacked herself in the face with her own tail. It was a sound that his mother always quailed at, though it was probably because it had come from him. Apparently he frightened her, or something.
Grimm watched his sister walk off, head tilting to the side as she reappeared a moment later. "Yeah you are!" he said happily. "And you're all pink and you look like candy! Lucky, I want to be pretty too!" Then he could be like the butterflies he so loved to look at! His pout was inaffective due to the fact that his markings made him look like he was perpetually grinning.

Serenia frowned, her ego getting a killer blow from being told she looked like candy. The fairy whimpered and padded over to her brother, her wings giving an annoyed flutter as she curled up next to him and rest her head on his forepaws, her long tail curling around her brother. "But...fairies aren't scary..." The pink Feli admitted with a sigh, closing her eyes. "Bad enough that you were blessed to be at least a little frightening looking while I'm stuck as a pink puff, I get stuck as the fairy and you..." She opened her eyes and lifted her head a little, looking her brother up and down and pouting. "Like...perfect for scaring!" Serenia shook her head in shame at herself.
"How can you be so...happy all the time?" The fairy asked, setting her head down on Grimm's paws again. He was comfy, and as the more dominant sibling she had the right to use him as a pillow whenever she wished it! ...It kinda protected him from invaders, in a way.

Grimm's boney tail flicked in contentment, the smile he wore almost invisible against his more permanently smiling markings. "Fairies can be scary! Like, like in that movie where there's the fairy and she makes kids fly--she's scary!" Disney and Grimm obviously didn't get along. "And I don't look scary, I look weird. I must, because everyone sees me and runs the other way." He pouted, resting his head atop his sister's.
"It's fun to be happy! It's no fun if you're sad all the time, right?" Grimm's natural absentmindedness often prevented him from dwelling on things that might be otherwise unpleasant, giving him a happy outlook on life that contrasted greatly with his apparently-scary pelt.

Sere looked up at Grimm with a 'What the hell?' kind of face. "...Tinkerbell?" She asked. "What's scary about Tinkerbell?" That was just...weird...sigh. Serenia frowned, nuzzling her face against as much of Grimm as she could get to. Even their own mother seemed to be a little weirded out by Grimm's appearance, despite how sweet the boy was...at least their father was happy by his appearance, but no so much his personality. It was probably the same with their father but her personality to her mother. "...Hm...I'll protect you, got that? Anyone hurts you in any way, they'll hear from me." And trust me, it wouldn't be very pretty.
"And I'm not sad! It's just...how can you be so trusting? That'll get you into trouble one day!" Serenia sighed, gnawing on her bracelet again, her wings fluttering. "Chasing butterflies and love is fine, I guess...you just have to be careful. Question others more...I'd say grow a backbone but that'd be a pretty stupid thing to say, wouldn't it?" The female smirked, opening one eye and looking up at her brother. He looked see-through!

Grimm blinked, tilting his head to the side, looking very much like a confused puppy. "I don't know, would it?" he asked, obviously not understanding his sister's joke. His tail twitched idly as he thought long and hard--for him--on his sister's words.
"But...if you protect me, who's gonna protect you? Mommy says that if I need protecting I can just make a scary face and go "grrr," but I don't get that. And what's not to trust? People are nice!" he exclaimed. He hadn't met many other Felis, but his family was nice enough!

Serenia smirked and lifted her tail, putting it across her brother's back. "It would be. Clearly we can see that you have some form of a backbone, even if it is just a marking." The pink feli snickered, having looked up to see the look on Grimm's face. He was really trying to figure this out, wasn't he?
She blinked, frowning and nuzzling her face into Grimm's fur. "Don't go doing that too often, you may gain a reputation as being a bad Feli when you're the complete opposite...and I don't need anyone to protect me. I can take care of myself. You're too sweet to be called a bad Feli. Not everyone's nice! I look nice but am I?" Sere sighed. "Just be careful of who you trust, okay? Chase all the butterflies you want though." She shrugged. "As long as you're happy and safe."

"Of course I have a backbone! If I didn't, I'd be a fish!" Clearly he had been watching too much television. "And I think you're nice!" Grimm chirped, oblivious to the fact that his sister was supposed to be one of those "bad feli" she had just told him not to be. He accepted her affection with a happy purr, retaliating with a grooming lick to those funny-looking things on top of her ears.
"But I'm always happy!" Such was a side effect of only having a few operating brain cells. "And I'm always gonna protect you no matter what, cuz that's what big brothers do!" He puffed himself out, tiny wings flapping--he might have looked scary to someone who didn't know that he was just an oddly-colored fluffball.

Serenia smirked, suddenly lifting her head and prodding at Grimm's back. "Hmm...you sure about that? Perhaps we need to throw you in the lake and see if you sprout fins and kills." The female teased, looking and sounding absolutely serious. She blinked, pausing when the swirls at the tops of her ears were suddenly licked. ...That...kinda tickled.
...Protect her? Like big brothers did? Her cloudy eyes rolled and she flopped down across her brother's back. "We're the same age!" She protested, poking at his little feathered wings. Even if they were different ages, Sere was clearly the more dominant one. "I don't need protecting, Grimm."

"Oooo, can we?" Grimm asked excitedly, tail beating a one-two as he pondered his (im)possible transformation. Then again... "I've seen some of those fish-feli in the lake, and they look scary. And if I have no feet, how would I get out to see you and Mommy and Daddy?" No, that wouldn't do at all.
His wings flapped in protest of the poking before settling as comfortably as they could with Sere draped across them. "Are we? I don't remember that far back." He frowned, casting a pupilless eye backwards to look at his sister. "Are you sure?" Grimm pondered a moment. "I could do it anyway! Like while you're not watching and you'll never kn--oh, wait. You didn't hear that."

...The fish Feli? She hadn't meant he'd become one of them. "Well...simple. The moment we take you out you'll grow legs again!" Just don't start whimpering or anything. Please.
Serenia grinned and nodded, nuzzling her face against the back of Grimm's head. "Yeah, we are." But hey! One day they could probably be older siblings! Judging by how much time their father spend cuddling up to their mother. The fairy smirked and rolled her eyes, gnawing playfully on Grimm's ear. "There goes the element of surprise!"
