- The Dream Realm ----------- Within the Otherworlds hides a strange realm that lies between reality and dreams. The Dream Realm.
This place is only entered if you are sleeping in the real world. Strange things occur here, things that could never happen in the real world. The Ruler of this land lives in a regal castle located here. The Ruler controls this realm and can also control your dreams. If you happen upon the castle, feel free to enter, nothing bad could happen, it's just a dream right? ----------

Noir had been trapped in the world of dreams, on a very thin border between reality and the REM state of mind that invokes and connects every person on Novalius through dreams, for centuries now and his despair had corrupted his attitude that was once a gentle doctor. The man was now in control of the realm of dreams and could see only see the world through the visions of memories of the humans. Nobody ever visited him unless he invited them through a special magic that brought their subconscious there, but that rarely happened. Noir was trapped with no way back to the real world he once knew or the people he once cared for.
He now resided in a castle of his own making with nothing but his memories and animals of his old life manifested to keep him company. Noir stood in a room full of nothing but old broken doors that rattled frantically. They were the doors of nightmares that were trying to creep into the minds of the currently sleeping people. Noir was busy using fighting some of them off but every once in a while a shadow would creep out and head to the realm and infect a person's dream. "They never give up, do they?" The Ruler said as he vaporized one with his magic while more were trying to get out. Suddenly the room and doors stopped shaking and a bright light spread throughout the room nearly blinding Noir. He gasped in surprised and backed up a little knowing what was coming.
A beautiful mistress slowly appeared in front of him like a mirage becoming vivid. Noir folded his arms and turned his head even though the lady seemed friendly. "What do you want? He said in an welcoming manner.
"No need to be so hostile. This time I come with good news, Sir Noir." The woman said trying to comfort the disheartened man. She grasped a trinket that was fastened around he neck like a necklace and unfastened the chain attached to it. It was an ivory hour glass but instead of sand inside, there was view of Novalius from a sky point of view.
"What is it?" He said suspiciously as the woman handed it to him.
"It's your 'get out of jail free' card. We've finally found enough power to help make gateways between realms. The only problem is that we become completely powerless and mortal once we leave our domains."
Noir scoffed a little and inspected the little trinket closely. "It took you long enough. It seems a little careless to just leave our domains though." He said as he fastened the object around his neck.
The woman nodded in agreement to his words. "Yes, I wouldn't advise staying too long on Novalius. You can always return though at your convenience." The lady didn't bother explaining much else but slowly began to fade from the room and eventually the nightmares came creeping back from their doors.
"Tch, some help she was." He said with a roll of his eyes as he now had to worry about the nightmares. Noir snapped his fingers and created two lions covered in golden armor and a duplicate of himself. "Take care of things while I'm gone, it's time I bust out of this joint." The Ruler said with a wave of his hand and the apparitions nodded as the man walked out of the dark room and headed down a hallway.
I can't believe I can finally leave..... He thought sadly to himself as he clenched the trinket around his neck and glanced back at his castle interior over run with his creations. A small portal opened up in front of himself and the man slowly stepped through wondering what the world was like now.
