A young prince is about to be crowned the next ruler of his kingdom but runs away a couple days before the ceremony to the dark forest to escape his inevitable fate. While in the forest he meets a small snow fox who saves his life in the forest. The fox is actually a girl cursed to be trapped in the body of a snow fox by a witch and the only way for her to return to her normal body is to have another person take her to this magic tree that lifts curses. My Character Sheet:Name: Emma Hearth Age: 18 Gender: Female Looks: Personality: a very mischevious girl with a rebellious personality. She has a very stubborn heart and will rarely ever let other people's opinions sway her. She has acted very selfishly in the past and has had little to no compassion for anyone for a very long time. She likes to keep to herself and not let people too close to her since she feels that personal relations can only cause pain and suffering to herself. But, at moments of weakness, she is actually a very fragile person who just wants to keep a barrier around herself. She is kind and compassionate deep down but she chooses to hide it, fearing her heart may one day be broken. Bio: Emma is actually a peasant girl who grew up in a far away village. Her father and older brother worked for the royal family of the town as stable workers that tended to the King's horses. Emma used to be a very spunky and active child that wanted to be just like her brother when she was older. But, at age 13, she discovered that her brother was having an affair with the princess of that kingdom. Of course, after the stable boy had proclaimed his love for the princess, the two were quickly caught by patrolling guards. The princess had betrayed Emma's brother by claiming that he had attacked her and tried to take advantage of her. Her brother was hung for his "crime" and from then on, Emma seemed to change her ways, choosing to never let anyone into her heart, in fear of being one day destroyed by heart break. Emma also craved a revenge on the princess of that land, so one day she ran away to the forest and discovered the witch that lived there. She asked the witch to give her a potion that would help her in her revenge scheme, but the witch refused. Infuriated, Emma stole a couple of potions from the witch and ran away. The witch quickly found out and when Emma drank the potions that would "help her cause", she was instead turned into a snow fox. She was cursed to remain in that form for all of eternity, to be punished for her selfish acts. The witch did tell her that if she was able to find a certain magic tree in the center of the forest, she would be returned to her normal self again. But she needed to have another human take her, or she would never find it. Emma is currently on the hunt for both the tree and a human companion. Fun Facts: The curse has a very sad little kink in it. When Emma falls asleep, she returns to her human form till she wakes back up, so she will never see herself as a human. She enjoys strawberries and likes to be near warmer climates.

Name: Gregory Rosenthal Lanchester Age: 21 Gender:Male Looks: Background/Personality: He must be able to rule with an iron fist, but yet be gentle enough for his people. He must be dignifying right from wrong, but yet he can not speak of the wrongs he had witnessed in his youth. Prince Gregory of Lanchester; the only son of Lord and Lady Lanchester, does not wish; in the slightest to be the next king. Of coarse he loves the good people that make up the kingdom, of course he wishes for serenity and ever lasting peace between the neighboring countries, but he feels that the added stress would turn him sour like his father. His mother died earlier in the year so the kingdom was still suffering her lost. What a mighty Queen she was indeed. Every moment of her husband’s reign she remained by his side—every lie and truth of his disgustingly and unfaithful father-she endured. Gregory looked up to her as his idol; despite her being his mother, so naturally her sudden death struck him harder than the rest. Along with his gifts of being of royalty (Charisma, intelligent, competent) he had a love for music; something that his mother shared as well. He is a skilled pianist and tends to keep to himself when massive balls would take place in his home. Gregory would remain in his mother’s music room during these times that he missed her most and would play the piano for her, like he did before her death. No matter what Gregory tried to do to avoid his reality; arrogantly his older sister would remind him… oh how he hated the thought of being king. Many nights he would sit in bed and wonder… maybe he should runaway…He was tired of the parties, tired of the available strangers for marriage; he was tired of his selfish father and his wasteful sister. Tired! Tired! Tired of it all and just wanted to run away and never return.

((Looks good! I can start us off but much won't happen haha XD you can start off Gregory wherever but he hasn't met Emma yet)) The quiet forest surrounding the valley was distinctively quiet this morning. A small snow fox's paws treaded quickly across the grassy terrain, it's keen bright blue eyes looking around the trees, trying to spot some breakfast. How fitting that Emma was placed in the body of a fox. She had been a rather sneaky girl growing up, so it didn't bother her so much that she was in the form of a fox. The problem was that she was snow white, which was easy for predators to spot in the dark green shubbery. It made it especially hard to hide at night without being hunted down. Today was day 76 of her transformation, and she was absolutely sick of being stuck in this form. She was tired and hungry, a nice bath would be lovely too. She had to constantly bathe herself with her tongue, which was gross and embarrassing to say the least. She wanted to take back everything she had done to that witch. She should of been smarter about her approach. Her thoughts ceased as she heard the sound of a chipmunk sprinting by. Her ears perked up and she proceeded to chase the food she had now nicknamed, "morning meal".

“Father…” Gregory rubbed the bridge of his nose as he groaned in some frustration at how stubborn his father was being today. He had come into the studies to talk to him about some matters that had been brought to his attention; feeling they were in fact urgent, he wanted to discuss it with his father. He would know that his father would try to push it away—shove it under the rug, if you will. “I don’t want to hear about it again… We can not simply be bothered every time the poor disappear. Let the City Watchmens handle that. You have much more important things to worry about than a few villagers.” King Alexander argued as he forced his hand down on the oaken table. He was tired of hearing about the strange disappearance of that girl—there were no leads, no one had seen anything and no one has heard of anything. He could only look to his son with some disgust. Why would the heir to the throne be concerned about something so petty? “If you have forgotten…it’s the villagers who make up your kingdo-“ Before he could finish his comment the King rose out of his seat, glaring into his eyes with irritability. “I am still the king and as the King I will have order in my own home. You are the prince—the heir to my throne, stop with this nonsense right now! You are not going to blindly send my men into that forest! You are not going to speak of it again! Now…as the King, I demand you to leave my studies!” He ordered as he now sat down, his face scrunched up in disappointment towards his arrogant son. With a deep sigh and a shake of his head he could only look to what his father had become over the past few years; a shell of a human, regardless of what status he was. “Of course…your majesty.” He bowed with little honor as he now left the study, almost slamming the door behind him. It had been moments like these that he would pray for strength to just leave this entire thing behind. Regardless of him being next in line….he can lead people in a different way and it was his mother who made him believe that. He now walked to the ends of the hall, turning to go down stairs to come across two guards who were talking amongst themselves. “They say that an evil witch lives deep in those woods… Fourteen of our men went in and not return. Our dogs won’t even go in without getting spooked.” They went on between themselves before moving to do rounds on the castle grounds. Gregory could only sigh a little bit more as he thought about it. His mind going back to the peasant at the front gates who cried for his daughter. It seemed like the man hadn’t slept for months and could only fathom the worse of his young daughter and his own father turning him away like he did—demanding for his guards to take him away. And the prince…whose voice was nothing could only watch him do so—the plead in the man’s eyes had faded into the horizon, much like his faith in finding his daughter. I hope you know…your family…they are worried sick about you. He had thought to himself as he made it to his room eventually. The young prince talked as if he was waiting for a reply from an old friend.

The chipmunk was fast, much too fast for the hungry fox to catch on the diet she was living on. She stopped chasing the little creature as it crawled up a tall tree, leaving Emma barking at it till she finally was out of rageful cries. 'food.......need....food'If she didn't find something to fill her stomach soon, she would most likely die. It was then that she smelt something. It was a scent she had known as a child. It was the smell of fresh bread! A baker had lived near her old house in the village outside the dark forest. She started to scurry towards the smell and found herself back in her village! She was finally home, and she needed to find her father and let him know she was okay! Maybe he would be able to tell it was her, even if she was an animal. Speak of the devil, her father was being dragged home by some guards, tears streaming down his eyes and his heavy bags sinking to a darker color. "Please! No! My daughter is all I have anymore!" The man argued as he tried to convince the guards to help him. They simply kicked him aside and went back to their duties, leaving the Emma's father on the ground. Emma approached her father, barking softly at the old man. "H-huh? Get out of here you stupid animal!!!" The man yelled at the snow fox. Emma was shocked at her father, he had never yelled at her so heartlessly. Emma rushed off into town, feeling scared. She was bombarded with screams of people called her a "giant rat" or just screaming that she had rabies. She rushed to a crack in the wall surrounding the royal families castle. She ran through the castle garden and hid in a bush. Her own father didn't recognize her...she was trapped to be a stupid animal for the rest of her life. Had she been so stupid to really go to that witch...she was so stupid! Emma was going to mope around some more, but suddenly a man grabbed her by her tail and started to carry her to the inside of the castle. He appeared to be the chef. "Hehehe never tried making fox soup before..." The chef said. No! No, she would not be that evil families soup! Even if she felt like dying, she wouldn't go like this! Emma used her fox teeth to bite the chef's arm. He yelled and let go of her, allowing her to scurry off and run away from the evil chef. As she ran she came upon a young man (Gregory). She wrapped herself around one of his legs, she was shaking uncontrollably. "A-ah! Prince Gregory! Please, give me that stupid fox! " the chef demanded, holding out his hand, the other was holding a giant butcher knife.

He wasn't aiming in no direction as he let his feet just take him wherever they wanted to go; missing his room about a minute later---heading towards nothing. Gregory had a lot of things on his mind that just seemed to distract him--the reign, the disappearance and his father's lack of civility. This left him sighing once again as green orbs sunk a little deeper--concluding all things that needed to be done.
Before he could give himself a reason to do anything; his attention caught on to a white blur that scurried towards him on the floor. This startled him. Coming out of no where like it did and now latched nervously on his foot. Before freaking out at whatever creature tried to hide with him, he noticed-- 'A white fox? In the dead of the fall?' Cocking a brow towards before something else caught his attention--Bright, beautiful, crisp blue eyes---the bluest he had ever seen on anything or anyone in his young life time. This creature couldn't be dangerous, the way that is shivered deemed it so--It was fearing something. "Hey there... what is the matter?" Gregory slowly bent down on to his knee with a small, yet kind smile--extending his hand just a little for it to smell that he meant no harm. Soon enough he could hear running footsteps approach him and skid to stop before him as he looked to meet the eyes of the chef.
As he listened to the chef's demand to give him the fox, he shook his head---cupping the fox with both hands gently and brought it to his chest. "Quit being so cruel to the innocent... I will not hand you over this fox, so please be on your way." He told the chef with a slightly risen head--it sounded like his father when the chef was speaking and instantly he became defensive. He looked down to the fox--still cupped a light tighter against his chest and smiled once again as he now walked outside and into the dewy twilight air.
He eventually found his way to a small, yet elegantly designed bench that sat next to a fountain and a few white rose bushes. Here, he placed the fox down and just looked to it--not knowing its gender and where exactly it came from. "You have to be careful... The land is becoming quite ruthless to those things that are different. You are very lucky..." The young prince smiled to the fox before taking another deep breath and looking up into the night air.
As he thought about this fox--its home, how it found him and what to do about it-- he could only retract to a conversation he between his mother and himself about a child's story book that he loved to listen to when he was younger.'The White Wolf is a guardian sent from the gods to guide those who have lost its way... The wolf would come to the most torn of souls and guide them back to heaven or to hell. Now---I know no one wants to hear about this beautiful reaper guiding a spirit to hell---but when see it approaching they could only understand for the white wolf helps them see the errs of their ways almost instantaneously. So my son--I pray for you-- When you find yourself at a crossroads and you do not know where to go, the White Wolf will come to you and guide you on the right path..' His mother--she always knew the right words to say to help him get through whatever he was suffering some. So now, he looks back to this little fox--the poor thing looked so scared and he could hold sympathy for being so out of place. "...I would expect a White Wolf to guide me on the right path, but then again I guess you had come in its place?" Gregory could only chuckle as he found a spot next on the bench and slowly sat down not to startle the little thing. He could only laugh a few more times because it was like he was expecting a reply from it, but his mind could only wonder what the real reason for this creature to appear like it did. Surely, it was lost---he was sure of that. In all of his years ever hunting in various forests with his father when they were on good terms, he had never seen a white fox. He cant even remember any past stories of a white fox being seen so surely this was sign perhaps.

The little fox was quite suprised as she was held against the blond's chest. She stared at the chef who was dismissed by the young man. Who was this boy? Wait; she recognized him immediately after she looked up at the boy, who was smiling kindly torwards her. She felt her shaking start to subside slightly at his atmosphere but she didn't know if she was completely safe yet. This boy was Prince Gregory, the son of the village's King. She remembered his face distinctively. He had made a short appearance at her brother's hanging ceremony. She remembered that on that day so many years ago, back when she was about 14, her brother was hung for a crime he didn't commit. The Princess, was the one who caused her brother to die, and Emma had hated that woman ever since. She remembered screaming and crying that morning, but the guards would not let ger through. She remembered how frightened her brother had been before he had died that slow painful death. When it had ended, she remembered the young prince looking over at her, seeming to want to comfort her. She had simply stared at the boy with a confused and tearful expression and then running home to grieve in privacy. The boy who was now a young man, was still kind-natured apparently. She relaxed as he took her outside, still holding her close. She was seating on a bench in a garden somewhere with Gregory. Emma wished she could thank him for helping her, but she couldn't talk to him. She simply barked quietly, but was able to get a message across by licking his cheek with her rough tongue. She sat on his lap and stared at the young man, studying his movement. Why had he helped her? Suddenly, the white fox's stomach growled loudly, causing her ears to bend down in disapproval and a whimper to escape her throat. She needes to eat something soon..she felt very weak from all the excitement and the little fuel she had left to run on.

'Why do I feel so... at ease?' It seemed to him--as he looked to the fox--that maybe it was a new found friend. As of now it seemed like this little fox was the closest thing to a friend than anyone he knew now. What good was to be king if he couldn't trust his own family to do good to the land? As he looked down to the bright eyes of this little fox--patting it on its head as he chuckled--hearing the growl of the fox's little stomach. "Maybe we should get you some food..." He smiled once again as the fox whined and could only smile some more at how relaxed he seemed now. "Please come with me..." He offered his hand once again to lift up the little fox---now tucked inside a large pocket of his over coat. "I do not trust that chef...if you can stay out of trouble then I won't tell him that you are here..." If the fox could understand that---he wasn't sure, but he could only smile a little bit more as he now stood up and walked back into the castle like home and into his lavishly designed room. He placed the fox on his bed before he went into another area that was in his room for a moment---coming back with his dinner that he didn't want to eat previously. Roasted chicken pieces and gravy, peas and carrots and dark rice... As enticing as it seemed--the argument he had with his father earlier turned his stomach sour. "Please...eat to your hearts content." He smiled as he pulled a chair next tot he bed and looked to his new little friend. It was an odd feeling when he looked to it... It felt like he had met the fox before--or something of that nature. His heart seemed to feel for the fox--what ever mystery the fox held, it only knew.

As Emma was carried through the castle with Gregory, she hid comfortabley in his coat. She didn't want to risk being spotted by that chef again and becoming the kings lunch. As they reached his room, she was amazed with how extravagant his room was compared to her room at home. Her room was big enough to just barely fit in a bed with a straw mattress. She stood on his bed and inspected her fancy surroundings. When he returned, the smell of food permuated her nose. She saw him put the food on the table and she immediately started to sniff it and then eat it. She had never eaten food that tasted so magnificent! She was used to gruel, and recently, squirell. She ate to her hearts content until she was completely satisfied. When she finished the licked her chops. ' thank you! thank you!' She wished she could hug him, but since she couldn't, she had to settle for licking his hand and then cuddling her head against it. This man was so nice to her. It was then that she realized that this was the person she needed! He could be her human partner and help her break her curse! Well, that would have to start in the morning, because suddenly, the little fox yawned and stretched her body. The warm food in her belly, along with tge feeling of the comfortable bed, was making her feel sleepy.

Gregory chuckled a little bit as the fox ate that right up. "You must have been starving..." he mentioned as he now moved the lick cleaned plate from the bed and felt in awe as the fox licked his hand. He knew that it was its way of saying thank you. Cute--He thought as he watched the little white fox make its self comfortable and wouldn't dare disturb it. It looked so peaceful. "Then I guess you are going to stay here with me then?" the prince looked to the fox, seeing it was fast to sleep soon after---he shook his head. Of course... He chuckled again to himself.
With a yawn---the prince soon felt sleepy as well. Taking off his coat he went into the parlor of his room and changed into his night clothing and gently made his way to his bed. he didn't want to bother the tired thing---so peaceful it seemed like it hadn't slept a good sleep in forever.
"Come over here--closer to me." He patted to the pillow that was next to his. A silken treasure that he adored...the closest thing to his mother that he had ever owned. These were her pillows and her sheets that she loved and cherished. They reminded him of his childhood with her and he wanted to share it with his new friend.

Emma yawned again and decided to take Gregory's offer and sleep on the pillow next to his. Normally, that would of been a problem, but it wasn't like he knew she was a woman anyways and she was an animal right now so it seemed acceptable. She was just too tired to truly care about where she would lay her head down for the night. It was much better than sleeping in the woods under some hollow tree. It was funny to think that she would ever even get to see the inside of the castle, let alone meet it's prince. It made her wonder if that evil princess was here. She sniffed the pillow before resting on top of it, curling her body up on top of it and closing her blue eyes. She looked like a big white puff ball all curled up and sleeping. As the night proceeded on, Emma was easily able to fall alseep on the pillow. The little kink in the curse started to take it's toll as a flash of blue enveloped the white fox and turned her back to her human form. She was under the covers and had her undergarments on thankfully. How sad that she could never know that she was free of her curse only when she was asleep..

He tossed and turned every once in a while as he seemed to be suffering from some night terror or another. He fought with the sheets, kicking them off of the bed as he could feel a mass amount of heat over come his being and fade as quick as it came. Sweat drenched his forehead as he shot up from his pillow, now sitting upright as he held his face tight in his palms.
These images...what are they... Gregory groaned as he kept his eyes closed for a moment but then realized something very odd. There was an unusual scent in there air--not terrible--but he noticed. Like earth, amber and sunflowers it smelt like to him. He tried to collect his thoughts as he moved his hands from his face--his eyes trying their best to adjust to the brightness of the moons rays in the room. It castes right down on the bed from above leaving a haunting air in the room.
The prince reached over to the other side of the bed where the fox would have slept trying to feel for water that he place on the end table earlier. It was warm...whatever this feel was. It was breathing and it didn't feel or sound like a fox he had in his bed earlier. His vision cleared instantly as he gazed upon the sleeping form of some dark haired woman in his bed. It took him a moment to precess what he was seeing--if he was seeing this at all.
The woman in his bed--dark, long, messy hair draped across her smooth arms, covering a little of her face. Her skin glowed as it basked in the purity of the moonlight--what was he seeing? He could feel the flickers of something deep with him as his green eyes rested upon this female form. What was going on? He was at a lost of words--confused at it all because he had never seen this woman or so he thought. What was she doing in his bed?
Had she walked in during the night while he slept? but his door was locked, he remembered this. It was only the fox and himself in this room, but where did she come from and how did she make it to his bed? The confusion got the better of him.
W-where is the fox...?[/] he thought to himself, wanting to move but he grew weary. Was he in a dream? who was she? What would happen if she wakes? He gentle---as slow as he could removed himself from the bed---still looking at her in some shock because she remained. This beauty who remained in his bed---who was she? It ate at him like a parasite. "W-who are you? what are you doing in my bed?" he dared to ask.

Emma had been sleeping comfortably in the bed. The soft pillow and the silksheets were so warm and comfortable. She had never slept so comfortably before. She had been having a dream about being at that witch's house again, but this time she was looking into a cauldron and it was showing her that tree she needed to go to. It seemed to be a giant tree that connected with the roots of all the other trees in the dark forest. The leaves were all multi-colored, coming in reds, blues, purples, and golds. So this was the place she needed to go? It was so strange..but if it meant breaking her curse, than it would be worth it. She heard some shifting around next to her, causing her to grumble and shift a little bit. She heard someone yelling at her so she started to open her eyes, revealing her bright blue orbs. Then, suddenly, a bright light shone again. This light absorbed Emma and placed the curse back into place. Emma was the little white fox again, yawning and scartching one of her ears. She looked up at Gregory and tilted her head slightly. She was unaware that she had turned into her human form. She was worried why Gregory had looked so sweaty and confused so she whimpered, trying to show her concern. She needed to keep him close or she couldn't undo her curse.

"What is going on here?" he watched her as a blue light enshrouded the figure and after the bright light went away; remained the white fox. His eyes grew wide as he tried to put everything together. Confused? Like Hell he was! What did he just witness in his bed? Who was the female? Where the hell did she go? What this a dream? It was question after question with no sense of resolve.
He saw those blue eyes...those magnificent blue eyes that were burned into his mind. the same eyes of this fox. "W-Who are you? Are you a shapeshifter? A witch?" he could only think of the endless possibilities of what was going on and no answers came his way. "Where did that female go?" He paced around his room so confused, nearly pulling his hair out as he seemed panicked and out of place only to stop and look at the fox again.
"Who are you?" He asked once again now gently to the fox... What did this fox want from him? Better yet, what or who was this?
