A month later from their trip out, it was the day Shortstraw and Kiera were to be married. Many preparations had been made, especially by Lilly and Evelyn. They both worked a long time to get it all perfect, even without Kiera and Shortstraw's input. Well, especially without their input. They would have planned a train wreck. It was early in the morning, and Evelyn burst into Kiera and Shortstraw's room. "UP UP SLEEPY HEADS. THIS IS NOT A DAY TO SLEEP IN." Evelyn stormed over to the curtains and drew them open letting in all the light she could. And it was a very bright day, too. Kiera recoiled under the covers and growled. "The light burns.." Evelyn grinned. "Hikari blessed us with a nice day. Be thankful." She ripped off the covers from Shortstraw and Kiera's bed leaving them both exposed. Kiera whimpered. "This is way too early." Evelyn put the covers to one side and put her hands on her hip. "Work starts early today. Now don't make me come over there and drag you two out of bed."

*Shortstraw looked to Evelyn tiredly... he was latched to keria and obviously half out of it. "I dont get it, why so early, i dont even get up this early." He moaned as he put his head back down, wondering if evelyn really was going to be a threat for them today or not. He whispered in kerias ear, "besides the wedding not for a few more hours, and we're suppost to spit untill the wedding happens. As messed up as that is. Which means you get evelyn. And i get donte." He chukkled lightly, "but hey it's our day right." He finally sat up and streached, "lets make it offical, and get it all over with." He nodded to evelyn, "are the others awake yet?"
Meanwhile Veria was up for hours prior, already makeing cale and charrlet awake and get dressed.*

Prophet stretched, his back cracking. Prophet then got dressed, his armor off, but he still had the helmet. Prophet then turned into his Zilla form and walked upstairs, ready to eat something. Prophet made himself waffles, and eggs. When he was done, he washed his dish and waited for Shortstraw to get up. Prophet turned into his human form, his suit clean and free of anything dirty. "Todays the day my best friend get's married." Prophet said, checking himself out in the mirror.

Evelyn nodded. "Most of them. You guys are the last ones awake and you're the main event." Kiera groaned and curled up into a little ball. "There's no surprise." Evelyn raised her brow at Kiera. "Com'on now. I have the job of making you look presentable don't I? God knows how long that's going to take." Kiera gave her a look and put her head under the pillow. "I don't want to spend hours with Evelyn." Evelyn chuckled and walked over to her and dragged her off the bed. "Tough nuts. You're stuck with me." Evelyn pulled Kiera to her feet and she looked to them both. "All right. After you guys leave this room you won't see each other until you get to the altar." It finally hit Kiera that she was getting married today, and she flung back onto Shortstraw. "Oh jesus, it's actually happening."
Cale grumbled. "I don't even like them." Charlotte looked horrified. "Then why are you even going to their wedding?" Cale rolled his eyes. "Veira's making me. She's making you too. Don't say you actually wanted to go?" Charlotte scowled to him. "Unlike some people I actually respect my mistresses family."

Prophet overheard them upstairs, and said, "They should get ready. I'm supposed to be th preist, and I don't want them to be late." Prophet growled at the thought of that. He then let his armor on, and smiled. "Still though. Can't believe Shortstraw and Keira are getting married today." Prophet said, happy for his friends. "Anyways, got to stay with Shortstraw anyways, might aswell make this his best day ever." Prophet said, sitting down on a chair.

*Shortstraw nodded with a smile, "i know it is a bit exciting." He chukkled and gave her a kiss, "i'll see you next in a butiful dress, as i'm putting my ring on your finger." He got up finally, "dont be too hard on her evelyn, have fun with it. I dont care if things are perfict or not, just that we all have fun, and me and keria are married." He warned as he then made a face, "which mean i have to get my suit and stuff ready. I even forgot to give donte the ring!" He smiled, "alright you two have fun."
Meanwhile Lilly had already left she was over in the city already setting up the tables and such. It wouldn't be long untill all the guest came... oh and the people form teh citys... and a few of the people from other countrys such as allies that were invited, and of course anyone else. She needed alot of food to set up.
meanwhile Veria came back into the room and nodded taking a picture of cale and charrlet together in there dress and suite, "oh good. Now lisen you too are my eyes today since i cant go, its a vary exciting thing." She walked over and gave Charrlet a hug, then actully gave cale a kiss, "so dont get in the way, observe only." She nodded happily and clapped, "and most importantly have fun."

Prophet turned into a mudwing, a type of dragon, but he was barely able to fit through the halls of the castle without bumping into something. He then looked into Shortstraw's room, and said, "Shortstraw, hurry up, we've got a busy day ahead of us." Prophet then turned into a hatchling of the mudwing, about now as tall as Shortstraw when he held his head up. Prophet smiled, and said, "You can't see Keria until later, so hurry up with your affection. There's already going to be kissing at the altar."

Evelyn then snickered. "Now you're mine." Kiera looked worried as Evelyn grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the room and down the hall. For obvious reasons Evelyn had kept Kiera's wedding dress in her never used room instead of Kiera's room in case Shortstraw were to stumble upon it in there. After all, it was tradition for the groom to not see the dress or the bride in the dress until the actual wedding. Once in the room, Evelyn shut the door behind her and chuckled. "You know, I don't think I've ever been in your room, Evelyn." Evelyn scratched her head. "I never use it, so it's not much to look at." Kiiro was already in there sitting on the windowsill and Kiera's dress was laid out on the bed. Kiera whimpered a little. "I'm going to be one of those unfortunate brides that falls over in front of everyone on the altar, aren't I?" Evelyn sat her on the bed and snickered. "You'll be fine, Kiera. And don't worry, only hundreds of thousands of people will be watching the wedding. Oh and you'll be able to see all the powerful leaders, too." Kiera whimpered more. "Oh dear god.."
Cale sighed. "Yeah right." Charlotte jumped up to him just to hit him on the head. "Lighten up mister grumpy. We have to do this for miss Veira!" Cale nodded. "You're right. But I'm just dreading that fact that you're probably going to follow me around like a lost puppy." Charlotte frowned. "Like you won't be any different." Cale actually chuckled. "Believe it or not midget, I have friends outside this family. They'll be coming to the wedding too with Mordekai. I'll be able to go and see them, so you better not me following me."
There was a short knock on the door, and as Dante rushed to answer it his face lightened as he crushed Mordekai to the ground. Mordekai, unusually, was wearing much smarter clothes than he was used to. Even with official events and parties, he hardly ever wore suits or anything formal. Today he did. "Uncle!" Mordekai chuckled. "Good to see you, Dante. I just wanted to check up on you all before the wedding. My guards are already getting settled down in town. And I wanted to see Veira." Dante nodded and grinned to him. "Veiry is up in her room. But she's not coming to the wedding."

*At this point shortstraw was walking out of the bathroom to find donte ontop of a fimmillar but not seen to often uncle of his. Shortstraw chukkled though and held Mordeiki up to his feet, "donte remembe ryou cant be doing that today. Just today though." He chukkled, "we have to stay clean, and so do the others." He nodded as he pointed, "Verias room is the second door right there." He then looked to donte, "guess what... suit time. So get your set, we're heading out of the house for a while." He held up a hand, "before evelyn starts getting onto us too." He then smerked, "evelyn i guess is the helper on kerias side, i think charrlets the flowergirl. We will be meeting cale later. And your my best man, ring barrior so grab your stuff, we will get dressed up when we get there." He chukkled and went to get his stuff infact, whcih he hid under the beds matress, one place keria wouldn't see.*
Meanwhile cale and charrlet were pushed on out of verias room, "okay out out out, go and have fun." She smiled happily as she noticed mordiki (yes spelt and said like that on perpuse thats wher veria calls him), "uncle... i didn't expect to see you here." She greeted, "i thought you would be down at the wedding area somewhere will all the dressed up people." It seemed what donte said was right, she was dressed in her regular clothing. With all the rips and taires, but that was just her stile anyways.

Evelyn smirked. "Now go shower." Kiera made a face. "W-what?" Evelyn folded her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow. "Want me to make you shower?" Kiera looked traumatised as she slipped away from Evelyn quickly and into the bathroom. Evelyn snickered. "Works every time." Kiiro turned her head to Evelyn. "You shouldn't torment her like that Onee-chan. She's getting married today." Evelyn shrugged and took out Kiiro's dress from the wardrobe. "She's fine."
Dante grumbled. "I'm gonna get rashes after wearing a stupid suit." Mordekai smiled to Veira and shuffled up to her with his hands stuffed scruffily into his neat pockets. "Hell no. I'm not much of a socializer. Most of the people down there are stuck up rich freaks. I don't deal well with them." Not that he dealt well with many people. He scratched his barely brushed head. "I came to see you Veira. I had a feeling that you weren't coming to the wedding. I'm a little out of place. And frankly I don't know any of your- our family apart from you and little Dante. And of course Cale. I hope he's behaving himself here." He looked confused suddenly as he scratched behind his ear. "Now what was it I was going to say.." He shook his head. "Nope, forgotten."

Prophet looked at Mordekai and said, "Hi Morde, good to see you up and running, as usual." Prophet then looked at Dasnte and said, "Quit your complaining. I have to wear a one ton metal suit all day long, and it doesn't have air conditioning. Also, it's your uncle Shortstraw's wedding today, so behave or I'll make sure you wear that suit for my wedding." Prophet held back a laugh at the last part he said, giving Dante a glare. "Alright, I have to go with Shortstraw and, make sure he doesn't see Keria until the wedding. I expect you all to behave until after the wedding, so you all behave or else." Prophet said, trying to hold back more laughter.

*Shortstraw chukkled, as he led with donte beside him, "be happy i'm fighting with the thing about jell holding our hair down thing... god i cant stand it." He replied as they went out.
Meanwhile Veria blinked, "you came to see me..." She smiled, "but it's not my day silly, it's my big sisters. Though i'm sorta happy you came anyways, i'm alittle torn that i cant go." She nodded, "and sorry but your not going to be getting your henchman back, cales a keeper now. I gave him... privliges." She giggled, "and he gets along so well with little charrlett, its cute." She closed her door behind her, "and i do hope it wasn't something imprtant then... it almost worrys me know." She nodded and put herhands together, "i'm sorta in a moody mood becuse of the day... sorta emotional. Alot of emotions at once really. Maybe we should go down tot he living room and talk. You have loads of time before you have to be at the wedding anyways, so... i wouldn't mind the compiny on such a horrable... i mean wonderful day." She offered basicly for them to go sit down and talk in the living room. She was flattered he came to see her, not many did that exacly they always came for eve, or keria. So she felt at least alittle spechal.

Kiera eventually came back into Evelyn's room with a towel wrapped around her and her hair slicked back from showering. "Ah good, now you won't be so tired. And I have a clean slate to work on." She picked up the corset and grinned. "Lets get started shall we?"
Mordekai couldn't help but chuckle a little. "I know you're hating this day Veira. You don't have to pretend to me." He shrugged. "I'm here for political reasons more than anything. This suit is painful enough and I'm not sure Kiera even likes me. Not that I really could care less. I'm never around here other than to see how you and Cale are doing." He then chuckled again. "And I wasn't going to ask for Cale back. I sent him here to look out for you and that's just what he will do. He's a loyal one, I'll give him that. But he has a tendency to get bored quickly." He sighed. "I'm glad that's not the case here." He looked back to the stairs. "I'd be happy to stay around here for a while as long as you're all right with that. But of course, you have to stay here all day so I'm sure you appreciate the company."

*Veria nodded* "Yes i would... vary much so like that uncle... i'll be watching whats going on later through charrelt and cale, so i'll see everything but... no i cant be out in public." She offered him a seat in the living room and sat down, "and yes i am starting to like cale... alittle... he's been vary good to me so far." She chukkled, "and he's never board here, oh no. If i'm not telling him somthing to do he's playing nicly with charrlett." She nodded, "anyways alot happened since last month. Everyones been much happer. Hows your end doing?" She asked.
Later on that day it was just about time. Mordekai had to go to the spot the wedidg was going to be held so his spot wasn't taken, and veria needed to pay more attention to her sucordinates. Eve was preparing the last few things as she worked around some things in the back of the stage. Lilly of course was out seating the geusts, and this was when , "the boys" arrived. shortstraw and donte walked in all cool like as some of the people would go quiet and look. Both stood side by side and walked with there hands in there suit pockets. It turned out shortstraw's hair was slick for the first time, he was cleaned fully up. And donte was... well not as wild haired as usarl the jell didn't work agins his hair. And as shortstraw told donte when they walked in, play a alsome song entrence soo like in a moive in your head. Walk slow and cool like, like your the man.

Kiera finally stood in the living room all finished with Evelyn and Kiiro. Even Evelyn was wearing a simple purple dress. It took a lot of work, but now Kiera was all dressed up and... ready. Well, physically. She hadn't got herself into the mindset yet. Evelyn marveled at her work. "Now you look like a proper princess." Kiera turned and looked behind herself then scowled. "It's as bad as it was in the store." Evelyn made a face. "Don't you get like this now. All the guests are finishing being seated now. You're almost up." Kiera suddenly looked worried. "What if this is all too much?" "What do you mean?" Kiera fiddled the fabric of her dress between her fingers and looked to the floor. "All this. Everything." Evelyn sighed. "You're a princess, Kiera. There was no way this wedding could be any more subtle. There are lots of important people here to see you get married and wish you well, Kiera. But mostly because they expect to see you on the throne soon. They want to see you parade yourself around with Shortstraw like a peacock so that they get the chance to suck up to you." Kiera looked to the side. "I knew that already." Evelyn sighed and picked up Kiera's large veil which was as long as the train of her dress. "I'll be right there at the front, Kiera. Don't worry." Evelyn suddenly sniffed. "Ah.. my little girl is getting married." Kiera scowled. "You aren't my mother Evelyn. However she wouldn't have been any more supportive." Evelyn pulled a face. "Don't let her dominate your thoughts on a day like this, she'll get to you again and you know it."
Dante did as he was instructed. It felt awesome, just like one of the moments in one of his favourite movies back home. Yeah, he was the prince. The prince who showed his face around town a sure hell of a lot more than his sisters did. He knew most of the people sitting there already. And Dante was so tempted to just go say hello to everyone, but that would have ruined the facade than him and Shortstraw were trying to pull. If only he had sunglasses, that would have made it so much better.
