An orange blur skimmed just beneath the surface of the Tuatha 'Ri lake water, almost invisible with the orange sunset sky reflecting off of the water. It was the most relaxing feeling ever to be so lightweight in the water. Typically, Aulii would be catching some surf over at the sea, but today he kind of just needed to get away from that. His cousin, Diona, had so many issues going on that it was as if a giant black cloud was hanging over his beach. The waves here weren't great, if even existent, but Aulii was content with a simple swim. His red hair broke the surface of the water first as the angel came up for a breath of air and then swam the rest of the way to shore. When he came out of the water, he ruffled the feathers of his wings, shaking off the water. Aulii then stretched and proceeded to shake his head, much like a dog would. His shaggy mane sent water flying everywhere.

Starry stretched, wings extending fully behind her as she walked along the beach. The sun was just about to set, it was almost her time of night. The demon smiled a bit, the night, it was so very dark if the moon wasn't out. She shook her head, deciding that here was a good spot to sit and reflect. It hadn't been long since her last trip to the beach, but she wasn't certain what to expect anymore.
The last time she'd been down here, she'd met a faunie named Luna. He was a wonderfully good looking creature, but strange. Very strange. She shook her head, red hair falling into her face. The beach had always been a place of relaxation when she was married, but now? Now she simply felt confused here. Perhaps things would get better in time, but for now.. It was almost time to go.
It was when she stood up that water started hitting her. Yikes! How long had she been sitting on the beach? Starry groaned a bit, looking up. Someone had just gotten out and was shaking off? What the heck.
"Excuse me?" Starry frowned, trying to keep the mom out of her voice.

Aulii's eyes widened and he winced as he heard a voice. He hadn't seen anyone there before. As he turned to look at where the voice had came from and saw a slightly dampened demon his expression had only gotten worse. The female stood out like a sore thumb, the dark blue against the pale sand, Aulii clearly hadn't been paying attention at all when he was just flinging water everywhere like he owned the place.
"Oh... woah... gee... I am so sorry." He couldn't really think of anyway he could make it up to her, if he tried to pat her dry... well she would just get even more wet since his skin was still dripping with lake water. "I am really sorry, I wasn't paying attention at all. I don't really have anything dry to give you either. Are you okay?" His mouth was going a mile a minute trying to make it up to the female, she hadn't sounded happy when she had spoke, but maybe it was his imagination.

Starry shrugged. He apologized, all was forgiven. But he kept rambling. She grinned. "You should calm down. Nothing is worth rambling like that." The demon spoke. She was far too busy being amused at his bumbling.
"Watch where you shake off, never know who or what is nearby. Even with eyes wide open." Starry nodded. Shed learned that lesson recently herself. She never would have met prince Luna if she hadn't though.

Aulii promptly shut his trap when she told him to stop rambling, but she was smiling. He returned the grin as he realized it probably wasn't as bad as he thought it was. Aulii personally wouldn't mind if he got splashed by water. "Yeah, I'm s-" he stopped himself as he almost apologized again for not looking. "Well, hard to visit one of the local water sources and expect to remain dry, right?" Aulii joked carelessly. "Did you just get here or have you been here awhile?" he hadn't noticed her before, although it was completely possible that he was that oblivious, and he thought it was strange she would show up just as the sun was going down.

Starry kept grinning, "You can keep dry and still visit the local beaches." She shrugged, stretching. She just have been sitting there longer than she'd realized.
"I've been here a while. Apparently." Starry grunted. She felt old at moments like this. Of course, it was because she was getting there, but no one had to know that. Right? The demon almost panicked at the thought.

Aulii nodded his head back and forth as if weighting the truth in her statement. He was busy squeezing the water out of his hair since he couldn't really shake it out now. "I suppose, but it's less fun that way, right?" He gave her a lopsided grin, Aulii was a bit of a beach bum through and through and was always much happier in the water. Lazying about in the sand was ok, but only after a long day in the water. He cocked his eyebrows at her when he heard her grunt. "Everything ok?" He had sort of asked her before, but it had mostly been in the context of getting splashed with water. The angel extended a hand to the female just in case she needed it. "I"m Aulii by the way."

"Only if you don't like fishing." Starry shrugged. Sure, she'd left her fishing rod at home, but that didn't mean she didn't care for the water. It was just one of those moods. The demon blushed, taking the hand that was offered to her.
"Thank you..." Her blush remained, turning her face a brilliant purple. "I'm just getting old." Starry frowned a bit, steadying herself now that she was upright. "It's nice to meet you Aulii." The demon grinned. "I'm Starry, star making demon."

Aulii laughed at the comment about being old, he had a hard time believing it and assumed she was joking. "Woah, seriously?" The angel questioned her. "I mean, do you really make stars or is there some story behind the title?" Aulii began stretching as part of his after-swim routine. "So... you're here fishing?" Aulii's head had been bobbing while he was stretching as he looked around, he hadn't see anything. Maybe she was just really awesome and used her hands.

She shrugged, grinning. "Look up." She pointed to the sky, which would normally be lit up in all shades and colors of the setting sun. Right now, it looked like the night had set in entirely. "If I'm concentrating, and using all of my might, I can make stars.. But they don't last long, and I'm out of it for weeks after." The female shrugged, dismissing it as something she would refuse to do without anything other than extenuating circumstances.
She smiled, watching him stretch. He was rather cute. Guardians, she felt like an old woman. "I wasn't fishing today. Left the rod at home. Today was fruit day." This time, she did have the supplies to prove what she'd been doing. "Noticed how close I was to the beach and decided to come watch the sunset. What are you doing out here? Besides swimming."

Aulii's eyes followed Starry's finger to look at the sky. "Hmm... that was fast." he said noticing that the sun had gone down completely. As Starry described her ability the male slowly nodded his head. "Yeah I guess I can see why you wouldn't really want to give me a demonstration if its gonna do that to you." Aulii mentioned as his eyes returned back to the starry demon. "Almost can't see you now." He winked at her as he joked.
Aulii grinned, "Do I need a reason other then swimming?" the male chuckled, so carefree. "Honestly, I normally am surfing at the beach, not much surf at this lake. I live at the beach, but so does my cousin. She is kind of nuts and has all sorts of issues, so I just needed a break from her kind of crazy."

Starry let the illusion fade, the sunlight returning in it's full beauty. "It's only an illusion of the nighttime sky." She grinned, winking right back at him. "That's the point~"
Oh, he liked swimming. A lot like her son. Goodness, she really felt old next to Aulii. Or was it just that he reminded her of things she hadn't the privilege to experience in so long? Living alone and working to keep it that way took a hell of a lot of time and effort, she'd barely had any time to make friends. Especially not since her... The demon shook the thought from her mind. No, she wouldn't think of him.
"Sounds like a pain. So you're just taking a day break?" She asked, tilting her head a bit to the side.

Aulii smiled, "Niceeeee." A starry sky was nice, but nice, but the sunset reminded him of himself so he was happy when the beautiful sunset sky returned. "Day break... week break... month break..." Aulii smiled, he wasn't really sure how long he would stay away, he didn't mind sleeping on the warm sands now that winter was coming to a close. "As long as I am close to the water I am happy. Not like I need it like the naiads do, but I totally feel like I need it." He began walking around as he talked to her, but not too far. "Honestly, I'm not sure why I didn't see you when I splashed you, I must have really been in the zone."

Starry grinned a bit, feeling like a younger woman with how much she was smiling. "Don't have a place to sleep?" Guardians knew she had enough space in her home. And that it wasn't too far away from here. The demon flushed a bit, remembering the last pae she'd brought home. She had been an interesting creature.
"In the zone or just me blending into my surroundings. Sometimes others don't notice me, even when I stick out like a sore thumb." Starry shrugged. It wasn't like it was an innate ability or anything, she was simply easily over looked. Not like the other, he seemed to draw attention without trying.

Aulii shrugged and spread his arms, motioning to all the sand that was below their feet. "The world is my bed!" He laughed, "Really, there isn't anything better then curling up with the sand and falling asleep. "I could still walk home if I needed to, I suppose, but I wasn't exactly sure what my plans were to begin with, and well you changed any plans I might have had." He grinned at her, enjoying the pleasant and casual conversation, "I mean that in a good way." He clarified. "Not sure why anyone would miss you to be honest. You kind of... sparkle."
