Pumpkin huddled near an entrance of the warren, debating whether or not to go back underground. His big "sis", Silver Flame, was nowhere to be found and he was beginning to worry if she was even going to show up. His ears were pressed against his skull though he didn't really care about hearing if any predators were around. He was sure the scouts would sound the alarm if there was a hawk or fox nearby. Slowly, he hopped a foot away from the entrance and then another hop. Soon he was a few feet away and well on his way to the fourage area so that he could get something to eat. If only Silver Flame had kept her promise in meeting him. Oh, well. She was late so he would have to go on without her.

Cloudberry smoothed the thlay on her paws trying to clean them of dirt while laying with her belly up. A very odd thing for a doe to do, but the grass was wet and she hated a wet belly. Hoping the light would come up soon.

Pumpkin's mind was too focused on food that he nearly missed the unusual sight of a doe with her legs in the air. He caught her out of the corner of his eye and he stopped in his tracks to gaze at her. Flicking an ear up, he slowly wandered over to her until he was about a foot away. "Hello," he said in a slightly shy tone of voice.

The doe bucked up her feet pushing into air until she scrambled to get her feet on firm ground. " oh sorry, I was trying to dry my belly thlay, oh hello... shyly looking to his side.

He tilted his head a little bit to one side and twitched his raised ear slightly when she said that she was airing out her belly. What did she do to get it wet? "Ah, ok..." he said, letting the last word trail away. He scratched at the ground with one paw and gazed down at the ground. He wasn't really sure what to say to a doe that wasn't Silver Flame.

"let me guess, silflay? I know where some yummy clovers are." as she dusted off her tail. Upon close inspection her thlay, mainly her back, was a bit damp with dew.

He nodded his head at her question. "Yeah," he said verbally, not really sure if she saw his nod or not. "Alright." He slowly followed after her, hoping that what she said was true about the yummy clovers.

She went southwest past a hawthorn bush and came to a large shallow puddle. " over on the other side near that large moss covered rock is the clover. " it also explained why she was damp.
