Randomizing a field~

I swear I didn't edit the title in.
Playground Field: The field looks like an average playground. Grass mostly covers the field floor, but sand surrounds the areas where the jungle gym, see-saw, swing set, merry-go-round, monkey bars, and trapeze rings are set. Scattered around the field are a baseball, a soccer ball, a football, and many other types of balls. A tree stands at one corner of the playground with a tire swing hanging from its strongest branch. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to NORMAL type attacks.

She let out a chuckle when she saw the field.
Now this, this was more like it. Definitely the best one she'd seen, shame she hadn't brought Sunny. As it was, Bri looked more like she was ready to take a nap then frolic about the field.
Korinna waved across the field at her opponent, smiling warmly, before sending her poochyena out into the stadium.
"Go on now, Bri. Go have fun."
Bri had a different definition of fun, for sure. She looked around the bright, sunny field with all of it's toys and room to romp and quickly picked out a warm patch of grass to sprawl out on.

George walked into his position when the field started to change into the playground. Seeing the pooch run out there he had thought of sending Tyr so the two could play together. But maybe Otto would have some fun in the sunny field playing with another pup. He raised his hand to acknowledge her wave and looked down at Otto who was sitting next to him.
He nodded his head to the field, "Go out Otto, enjoy yourself." He smiled reaching down and scratching the top of his head before Otto jumped out there.
Otto smiled and barked towards George before jumping out into the field. Otto was very playful so he went running towards the other dog barking every so often letting him know he was coming over to say Hi.

She shook her head in amusement, watching as the growlithe came from across the field. She wasn't sure if they'd actually battle at this rate, or just chase each other and play. Though... Bri looked pretty content to just be a sack of lazy bones.
"Bri, you feel up to digging, maybe?" The pup grunted at her before getting up and stretching with a yawn, wagging her tail at the other pup before digging into the soft ground as if she was going to hide her favorite bone. George watched as Otto was goofing off trying to catch the pup. He waited to see what would happen from the dog digging before telling him what to try next.
"Hey Otto, why don't we light up the hole to see better in it. Use Flamethrower."
Otto hopped around waiting for the poochy to come up from hiding. He ran around trying to stay away from the poochy that was chasing him under ground. He was having a lot of fun and when he came up it really surprised him.
Otto loved using Flamethrower, it was one of his favorite moves so he aimed it at the hole and Bri before letting it loose. It being a concentrated hole he had to concentrate it somewhat instead of the huge fire he normally did.

Korinna watched with worry as suddenly the tunnel was set alight. This was Bri's first match and chances where she wouldn't know to watch out for something like this.
"Try using Toxic, Bri."
Not that the idea of the poor growlithe having a face full of sludge was comforting, but the goal was to learn right?
The pooch yelped as her tail was set alight, the burn a painful reminder why you shouldn't play with fire. Trying to turn around in the tunnel, she attempted to spit up something vile for the other dog, but couldn't get her head turned enough to attempt to poison him.

George was glad that the poison had missed, that probably would have sucked and made Otto feel pretty bad. But they didn't need to keep attacking, this was supposed to be fun and playful but that was a concentrated fire that probably burned the poor pooch.
"Otto, let her come up from the hole. Don't need to trap her down there. Keep an eye on her though and stay ready."
Otto backed up keeping an eye on Bri waiting for more stuff to be spit on him. His tail was wagging a lot but he used Leer on her. He looked at her hard trying to stay focused and ready like George had said.

Korinna didn't like how the other pup was staring at the mouth of Bri's tunnel. The moment she emerged that growlithe would have an advantage, or could torch her again.
"Hey Bri? Find a different exit. Dig yourself out."
The poochyena wanted to yelp as her tail still stung, her poor singed skin an angry red. But even down in the tunnels she could hear her trainer's voice. Huffing, since digging again would mean more work, Bri started pawing at the earth again.

George watched and thought about what to do now. He knew what he would do if this was an actual battle but maybe they could do something similar without scaring the dog or hurting it too much.
"Otto try using Rock Smash"
Otto was starting to not like the ground and sand so much, it was putting out his fire. He shook off the extra dirt that she kept throwing on him when he heard what George had told him to do.
He knew exactly what to do and went running at Bri jumping at her to create a little dog pile. His tail was wagging a lot trying to play but not hurting her at all. He licked her ear as he barked towards her wondering what she was going to do.

She hid a smile behind her hand as the growlithe bounded about. Seemingly endless energy, that one. It reminded her of Sunny, when she was young. Bri, on the other hand, couldn't be more different. The poor pup didn't know what to make of the other dog, and that burn had to suck.
"Bri, try kicking up some sand on that burn."
Seeing the other dog coming towards her, she backed away fearfully at first, she wasn't used to all of this excitement. Not sure what to make of him, she cocked her head to one side as her trainer called out, and she started to kick up the dirt and sand over herself and the silly pup near her.

George shook his head as he watched Otto running around like a crazy puppy and not succeeding in the Rock Smash. He loved how much energy and optimism Otto had.
"Hey why don't you try that again Otto."
Otto was completely thrown off by the sand and shook it off himself. That damn sand kept trying to smother his fire. Hearing what George said he liked that idea, he wanted to pounce on Bri and show her that he was a friend. So he went charging after her again determined this time to dog pile her.

Korinna gasped as her eyes opened wide when Bri yelped. She didn't think the growlithe meant to, but she was pretty sure all the wind had just been knocked out of her pooch. That was definitely more weight than Bri was meant to handle, and she lay sprawled out beneath the other dog.
Perhaps she could get down? Couldn't really get out unless she made space for herself.
"Are you alright Bri? Can you get out? Dig down to get away, pup."
Yelping in surprise as suddenly a very heavy and furry weight was dropped on her back, Bri collapsed under it and squirmed under the growlithe's weight, panting and wheezing to try and get her air back. Whining as she kicked her legs, she shifted the earth out from beneath her, scrambling to dig down and out.

George was surprised by how much dirt that little pup was kicking up onto Otto. Thought it surprised him more that his Otto was looking tired, he might had partially knocked his own breath out when he landed on her a bit.
"Shake it off buddy, try using it again."
Otto had partially stunned himself when he landed on her and he could feel himself getting tired. He was too slow to get out of the way of the dirt she had been kicking up at him. He had to shake off all the dirt that was smothering a large chunk of his fire. When she came back up again he raced forward, not so fast this time. He didn't want to stun himself again but still wanted to keep playing

Both pups were looking a little worse for the wear, at least she knew Brianna was being put through her paces and would sleep well tonight.
Not that that ever seemed to be a problem for the lazy pooch. Shaking her head, she called out to her poke'mon.
"Tackle him, if you're gonna keep rough-housing."
The growlithe was bigger than she was, but that also meant he was easier to dodge, and he was slowing down on top of that. Now that it was obvious he wasn't going to let her nap, Bri play-bowed at him before launching herself at the puddle of pup on the grass. If he wanted to play rough-and-tumble, she could do that.
