Until today when we got a letter from the court offices. See two weeks ago, some old black lady walked into my work AKA My Dad's Auto Repair Shop while I was in the office with a customer. She butts her way into the conversation by asking "Where da Hell's ma' Car!?" I Had to then stop handling the first customer's bill to handle this woman in a professional as could be manner. I simply ask: "Are you a new customer? I'm not sure which one happens to be yours." Now, I know every single one of our shops 300+ customers because of working there for a year and a half, my photographic memory, and roughly a quarter of them have been friends of my family in some way or another. But I had no clue as to who the ******** this woman was. She then said "Hell no I ain't no customer! I just want my car!" So Now I ask, "What kind of car is it?" And she tells me it was a 2007 Suzuki Forenza with only 34,000 miles on it...... THAT WE HAD TO IMPOUND IN SEPTEMBER

So then I have to call my dad over while he's trying weld a new exhaust system together. He comes over and asks what the problem is. I tell him what she told me. And he looked more shocked than a kid putting a penny in a light socket. So he simply states the fact that we tried to contact her and the insurance company for two weeks after it was towed. Afterwards, the legal authorities told us, we could sell it, junk it, drive it, whatever we wanted. We sold it for $8500 in under 2 hours of putting it on craigslist. As Soon as this woman realized that we sold her car, she started screaming! She then Said that we had no right to do such an act to her, and that we owed her a complimentary car in return for our blatant ignorance. It was at that time that I blurted out "Have you huffing paint!?" Which I should not have said but i mean.... COME ON!!!!!

since My dad said absolutely not, she started kicking the desk and throwing papers around, which made my brother call the cops, and my father, my cousin and I to grab this huge black woman and carry her out of the shop while she kept calling us Racist. The cops showed up 5 minutes later and took her away. Today we got a letter in the mail saying she's taking us to court........

Can somebody please explain to me how this woman gets to do such a thing!?

she can take you to court, but the judge will take a look at your papers and good old logic and realize she has no case. It's a waste of her and your time but that's our legal system.
