This is my Drop pod on a budget. It's made out of three different materials. The outer fins are balsa wood ( sand them first, my bad ) The base and doors and made of tin or thin sheet metal ( easy to cut and bend to shape ) and the black part at the top is made of thin cardboard ( a soda can box to be exact ) The base it's mounted on is a messed up CD. They work great for bases as you can build one or two pods and use blank Cd as drop pod markers and use the models for cover reference and such.

I used fish tank gravel at the bottom and painted it black. Hot glue works good for assembly it's quick and not hard to find. I dose get messy around the edges however silicone might work better for smooth edges but it will take longer. I have instructions to build a very complicated pod with working doors and all kinds of nifty cool stuff and then I have the four parts of the instructions I used to build what you see in the pic. It's by no means perfect but it sure works for me.

*EDIT*
I managed to post the pics at there full size they are in a post below.
I used legal paper to print on because of it's length you can easily get all of the parts for the drop pod on 2-3 sheets of paper that way. 1 sheet if you go with the simple version.

Hmm a Grey Knights drop pod might look cool. Ok I found away to post the pod instructions. This images are HUGE, they are like that so they can be resized during printing for clarity. I hope they help. Just save the images and open them in a paint program. Thats what I did and it seemd to work well.

Ah, I know how that feels...you always want to attempt it yourself the first time just in hopes that it works out well. 3nodding

It happens to all of us, don't take offense Isis.

Oh none taken, I try to do every thing by my self, to an extent where if I need it i build it. Thats how I do most of every thing. hence the pods, I will build stuff befor I buy stuff. I just like sharing my ideas.

Don't worry Glynn, I was trying ot make you look bad. I knew Isis would take that how you truly meant it, but I wanted to reassure peace anyway.

I know you wont beable to make em' , because the images are way to big for that. In your program you need to resize the pics to fit the page for printing, try the simple pod it should be just as big be easier to scale down. Again what program are you useing to view and print. Tech suport is my thing for cases like this. Also I used leagal paper to print on, it's longer. That may be the prob on your end.

I take it right from the page, go into my printer options, and try to get it to fit on myah UBER long printing paper, usually I too use legal size, but my paper is longer

Have you checked the "Fit to page" box. Most every program has one. Myah is a digital editing program right ?
