You might have seen the flyers. If, somehow, you managed to avoid the flyers, chances are slim that you also managed to avoid the campus-wandering pair of a dracolich and cerberus. The latter of the two had excitedly invited everyone to the party at the hot springs, pleasantly adding a reminder (or three) to bring your swimsuit! Or the closest thing. They're not picky. The exterior of the cave leading to the hot springs has been marked by a long lit candle on either side, and a banner hung over a corner of the opening; unfortunately, some measurements got a little bit mixed up, and it wasn't made quite large enough to span the whole thing. The interior is decorated with a little more care, with glowticks and jars full of glowbugs placed along the way. The closer you get to the springs, the sandier the floor beneath your feet gets, until it's completely covered by a respectable coating of beachy sand (don't worry, you won't have to clean all this up). A few lit eeky torches surround the edge of the springs, and a pile of wriggling pool noodles awaits you nearby. For those not interested in swimming, an assortment of refreshments is spread across a little table near one wall. There always seems to be plenty available, no matter how much has already been chowed down upon - someone must have bribed a gnome or two. On the ground next to the refreshments is a bucket of glowsticks and other light-up party accessories which probably are best suited out of the water. The music is playing and the water feels great - come in and join the fun! Quote: • Feel free to come in and enjoy yourself in the springs, chat, or do whatever you'd like! Please respect the other students and the school rules while doing so. • Swimsuits are not really required, if you'd rather not wear one. • Aymet and Thackery are nearby to greet you, strike up a conversation, and especially discuss their platforms and campaign strategies for the upcoming Council election. • To ensure a response, please quote Astaraei to speak to Aymet and Nothing Yet to speak to Thackery. • If you hang around, you might leave with a party favor or two!

Though party planning and setup had taken quite a bit of time and energy, Thackery seemed just as perky as ever. He was, of course, dressed for the occasion, wearing a pair of purple, key-embroidered swim trunks, a long necklace of dead flowers strung together, and a matching flower tucked into his hair. He waved to anyone whose eye he managed to catch, including Aymet, who had been waved at somewhere around five times in the past three minutes. As he waited for more partygoers to arrive, he temporarily busied himself with slipping a few glowbracelets onto each arm. He appeared pleased with the completion of his 'look', smiling just a little bit wider with the newest set of greetings. He was gonna have so many new friends.

A party thrown by his brother? Of course, Erebus was there!
Well, alright, so the co-host of the party was also some Aymet dude he didn't know, but any friend of Thack's was a friend of his, right? Well, sort of. He still wasn't really particularly sure of Ash but that was a different category entirely that he still had to figure out how to deal with.
Getting there wasn't particularly difficult, considering that he had been to the springs once before. Erebus was dressed in simple black swim trunks, along with a towel hanging around his neck for good measure. (Erebus was just sort of uncomfortable with being half-naked, okay.)
Thack had probably decorated the cave; he thought, noting all the glowsticks and similar glowing stuff. Attempting to be as sneaky as possible, Erebus silently made his way over to his brother, and tapped him on the shoulder. It was like a surprise. Well, sort of. Erebus wasn't really much of a party person, so, it certainly was a bit of a surprise to see him at such an event.

Sibyl had seen the fliers, they had two of her favorite words on them: Beach and party. She loves beaches, she loved parties. It was a done deal. All her friends might be there! Granted, she considered everyone her friend but that was beside the point! EVERYONE WOULD BE THERE! There was only one thing on the sign that prevented her from being ready...she didn't have a swimsuit. Did her seal skin count as a swimsuit? She'd asked Marzena who had said no, it didn't. Obviously the only way to fix that problem was to make Marzena help her find a swimsuit; after having quite a few of them turned down she finally found a nice little black one piece with ruffles, and then apparently Marzena's swimsuit hadn't been good enough so Sibyl made her buy a new one as well. They had to look super awesome for the party, okay? Sibyl had run ahead of Marzena when she spotted the lights and lanterns and candles, coming to a stop only when she felt sand beneath her feet. She squealed with delight. She had no idea this was here! Ahhhh! So exciting so exciting! Refreshments, glowy stuff, music..this was going to be the best! "Marzie! Marziiiiieeee! Come on, come on! It's so cool!" Sibyl called back out to her friend, raising an arm above her head and giving a big wave.

Marzena usually avoided parties.
She was not a party person. At all. She hadn't even realized that Sibyl was so eager to shop for a swimsuit just for the party, until it was too late. Until she was made to get one for herself too, because apparently, according to Sibyl, her simple swimsuit was quite boring and not nice enough for a party. It had taken quite a while because Marzena was quite reluctant in getting a new one just because Sibyl said so, but eventually?
They had decided on a black one piece with glitter along the torso, which Sibyl said reminded her of the ocean. Marzena had really been trying to come up with an excuse to somehow slip back to her dorm on the way to the party, but it had been to no avail.
She supposed it all looked pretty cool, but there were going to be so many students here, weren't there? Sigh. Marzena was practically dragging her feet as much as possible while following behind Sibyl. "I guess." She muttered in reply to Sibyl. At least there was sand. At least there was water. She liked that aspect of the party, at least.

'I guess' was Marzenese for 'totally, Sibyl. You are so right.' Sibyl was very well practiced in Marzenese, after all! It took years of intense study. It was practically Sibyl's second language. People wished they could be as awesome as Sibyl, but one could only try to achieve her level of amazing.
It seemed they were early, but this was good! It meant they could see everyone arrive! Yay! The first thing Sibyl did was check out the bucket of glowy things, finding a few glowing bracelets and necklaces and running back to Marzena with them. "Marzie, Marzie, Marzie! Look what I found!"

If someone told Marzena that there was such a thing called Marzenese, she would probably have stared at them in befuddlement.
And then probably come to the conclusion that it was all because of Sibyl because why wouldn't it be. Marzena was way too used to Sibyl, and yet there were still so many ways that the younger selkie could amaze her.
"...Well, they remind me of jellyfish." She said finally, attempting to be sort of positive for once. Or else Sibyl would probably try to cheer her up by insisting on decorating her with all these glowing accessories.

Jove had noticed the flyers first. A beach party! And so close to the school, he wouldn't have to take a bus or anything to get there! He could just change into his swimsuit and run there, and in the end that's exactly what he did.
The pup wandered into the cave, tail wagging as he felt the sand on his bare feet, and smelled the food ahead. He was dressed in his swimsuit, a pair of dark shorts with little skulls all over, and a plain black tee he had managed to borrow, all the better for concealing the dark bruises on his left side. It made him feel quite clever.
At least until he realized nobody he really knew that well was at the party yet.
The pup wandered to the edge of the hot springs and looked around, his glowing eyes bright enough to rival any glowstick in the cavern. Should he go ahead and swim now, or should he wait until some friends arrived?

Zar never did anything.
At least normally. Most of the time of late the chances of him willingly leaving the confines of his dorm were slim to none. But Nuru was gone - gone and with nothing but reminders all over the place of the void that lingered. Incubi weren't meant to bond his mother had told him, and he was starting to see why, loyalty - true loyalty - was almost impossible, but it didn't mean the emotions and loss didn't hurt acutely.
He'd spotted the posters, because it was frankly impossible not to when they were so chaotically pasted around the school, amplified by the fact he always found it incredibly difficult to ignore anything written on paper. The idea of swimming was normally abhorrent, almost as abhorrent as wearing nothing but a swimsuit but sometimes desperation brought out strange traits in people. What did it even matter anymore if he swam? His wings were ruined, stripped down to nothing but bone, water couldn't hurt him, he couldn't fall any lower than he already had.
Besides, the low and primal instincts he fought to ignore every day in life whispered in his thoughts and reminded him his species were born to wear very little. He was too weary to ignore them today.
Dressed in nothing but what he hoped was appropriate swimwear - the loincloth he'd worn at the trials - Zar arrived at the hot springs. It was mercifully dark inside when he silently entered, tail curling anxious arcs in the air behind him, wings folded tightly against his back. He wasn't even sure why he did it any more - it was pointless, much like water, candles weren't a danger to his paper-less wings any longer. He proceeded along, sand soft under his hooves - reminding him even more acutely of the horseman trials, of butter and chaos, of Nuru - he shook his head to clear the lingering cobwebs of memory and pressed on.
He set his jaw and shoved aside the usual nauseating rush of social anxiety always present at social gatherings and edged down to the water's edge, sitting down to dip his hooves and fetlocks in tentatively.

Sibyl giggled. "They do, they do!" And then she put a few bracelets and necklaces on Marzena before she even had a chance to fight back.
Super secret magic Sibyl powers accomplished this.
A few bracelets were put on herself and some glow sticks stuck in her hair, giving the girl weird glowing antennae sticking out her hair in random directions. This was going to be the best party ever! There was even someone else arriving! And... "HI ZAR HI ZAR! ZAR! ZAAAAAAAR! ZAR! HI! HIIIII!" Sibyl jumped and flailed her arms, trying to get the boil's attention.

Zar glanced over at Sibyl and then in the universal language of bitchiness, pretended he didn't hear her.
There was desperation and then there was that book mutilating seal.

A beach party? Efflo wasn’t entirely positive about the idea. He enjoyed the hot springs, certainly, but he wasn’t sure about attending them when there were sure to be plenty of other people. He wore
Nonetheless, after a couple harrowing class experiences, it would be nice to relax in the warmth of the springs. Efflo’d donned a pair of rather form-fitting yellow shorts; though he would have liked to haven chosen the baggier option, his bony hips failed to hold them up properly. And as he already had to contend with poor luck and clothing-hungry bugs, he felt it was an unnecessary risk. He'd even patched up his wounds as best he could, so as to avoid embarrassing undead body + water related mishaps.
He sighed heavily, winding his way down the lit path toward the springs. His glowworms, on the other hand, were ecstatic, look at all the other glowbugs! They wriggled in delight as he walked passed the jars and as an unfortunate effect, by the time he got to the springs; the undead boil was glowing as brightly as the neon glowsticks. He sighed again, and sullenly made his way to the spring, sinking down into the water embarrassedly. So much for a quiet entrance.
The glowworms, not being big fans of water, quickly made their leave and within a few minutes, his brightness had fortunately dulled to a soft glow.

Unfortunately, the party was at the hot springs, which meant that it was in nice, dark, dimly lit caverns. This meant that something could happen that rarely ever happened. When Nahm arrived at the hot springs, he shrugged out of his robes, dropped them on the ground, and stood proudly in only a swimsuit. "The fun has arrived!" he announced.

A beach party didn't really sound like Junko's cup of tea. Beaches meant water, water and Junko didn't get along. It was tolerable when she had less hair but now? Now it was hell. The only water she could stand to be in was a bath or a shower, where she knew she wouldn't accidentally drown. But she would go and socialize with her friends and fellow classmates. She even brought a swimsuit! Cute little one piece she'd made some minor alterations on to make it more her. Of course this swimsuit was covered by her usual kimono so it's not like it mattered. Her hair was tightly braided together and put up into an intricate up-do that would hopefully not get too wet if she did get in the water. There was a very excited ghoul's voice echoing off the cave walls as she walked in. She blinked, staring at the little ghoul for a moment before she found Thackery not too far off. "Thackery! Hi!"Someone announced the fun had arrived, and because she'd been focused on the ghoul and then Thackery she completely missed the robe being dropped. Uh...who..? "Nahm?" No way. That couldn't be Nahm! Nahm?! Seriously?!
