The morning sky was filled with clouds. It wasn't a cloudy day where one wouldn't be able to see the blue sky nor did it seem that rain was likely. It was a calm peaceful day with no wind and the air had a gentle warmth. However, it felt odd. It was too quiet it seemed for Ikki. The waves were not loud enough to make their normal dull roar and the silence was deafening. While it was a beautiful day, it was just another day for Ikki. With very little to do and even less desire to go find something, the young mare settled for a day of doing absolutely nothing.
Ikki was resting on the sand, facing the water. Gentle waves would brush against her legs and push against her spiked tail. The cool water felt good against the sensitive tail fin- the warm air had started to make it become irritated. Slowly, Ikki's mind started to go blank as she stared at the clear blue water and she began to fall into an almost-sleep.

Stepping on the hot sand,Aella was making her way to the beach to have a nice relaxing day away from her family.Even though she loved her family so much, she needed those times where she could leave for a little bit. It wasn't the stress of her grandmother being alone,it was more of the fact that she just needed the alone time. Be by herself with out anyone bothering her. Aella was hoping to maybe find some hermit crabs around, they were always fun to watch and changed the direction they were going. They were the cutest thing you could ever see on the beach, the rest weren't really her taste in cuteness. But maybe it was still time for them to be in their little shells in hiding.
Wandering up closer to her original spot, she didn't notce the mare laying on the side of the beach. It wasn't normal for Aella to be so careless about the things around her,but today was just one of those days where she just wanted to sleep and enjoy herself.

She felt her eyes droop and she let out a quiet yawn. Deciding that it was too early to fall asleep, Ikki splashed the water with her tail and shook her head. The salt water filled the air and gently floated down, coating Ikki's fur with a light mist. The cold was much better suited for her than the warm air.
Ikki stood up, completely unaware of the visitor walking on her beach. Lazily she started walking into deeper waters until she was knee deep. Splashing more water into the air with her tail, Ikki could feel herself cool down as the mist of water landed on her back. Water sparkled in her coat and hair. The air even tasted of salt and it the similar taste always gave Ikki a sense of security.
The temperature of the beach began to cool down as the water was forced into the air. The loud splashing caused the nearby birds to become excited and many of the easily startled animals began to scatter away. Looking back towards the sand beach, Ikki was quick to see the mare. Her purple and pink coat shouted against the golden sand and Ikki took a quick step deeper into the water. When did she get here? What was she going to do?

Aella finally made it to her spot on the beach and laid down."Ah.."She got comfortable and closed her eyes for a peaceful time.Until she heard the splashing and moving of the water. She noticed the kelpi mare in the water looking back at her."Erm.."Aella moved the sand around with her hooves."Am...I disturbing anything? I know its peaceful here,I just didn't know anyone else came here."A slight blush came upon her cheek. It was very odd for someone else to be here when she showed up.
"I am Aella."She gave the mare a small smile, she hoped that she didn't startle the poor mare. She must've by the look upon her face.Aella wasn't sure what else to say other than to wait to see if the mare would reply. By how the mare was reacting she wasn't sure of Aella.Wondering if she should leave,Aella just laid her head down upon the beach.

Ikki eyed the mare with distrust as she spoke. While it was possible, it was highly unlikely that the mare had traveled to this beach before. It was her home after all, and most of her days are spent on this beach; Ikki knew full well that the beach itself was rarely visited. She mulled it over in her head. While Ikki knew that it was large beach and traces of others rarely lasted long on the sand, it made Ikki feel violated that someone had possibly frequented her home without her notice.
Ikki looked away, walking deeper into the water if she needed to escape. "I've never seen you." Her voice, cold and distant.
