I meant to put this up sooner, but does anyone think that anything Denny said warranted a $25,000 fine? I haven't found anything and the reasoning for the fine is making me even more mad. I can understand Denny is mad, but I don't want thing to crash and burn if he doesn't pay and doesn't appeal this.

Right now he is appealing it...and nascar does have option to take the fine out of his winnings... which I have a feeling will happen if the appeal does not go his way.

Seriously?! NASCAR fined Denny for saying that? WTF?!
I wonder what they would have done if had said; "I can't stand to drive them, I'm not a very big fan of these things. They suck. You can't pass all that well. It's not fun to drive. It's a hard car to setup, it's a hard car to drive. I don't remember anyone complaining about our old car."

Well Denny just posted this on twitter. Denny Hamlin After a lot of thought I have decided not to appeal the fine NASCAR has issued. Dragging myself, my team and NASCAR through the mud for the next 2 weeks would not be good for anyone. I firmly believe I am in the right on this issue and will stand behind my decision not to pay. I understand NASCAR will do what they feel is necessary based on my decision. Thanks to all of my fans and peers who have supported me in this decision. I look forward to putting it to rest.

I know I'm saying this long after the fact, but I feel like putting in my two cents. This was ******** BULLSHIT! The only thing Denny was guilty of was having an opinion while not driving a Chevy.
