mechanical engineeringHobbies: Target Practice: Dev's daddy taught him to shoot at the tender age of six and ever since then he loves to see soda cans go flying, glass bottles exploding, and masons jars splatter their gooey guts across the grass. When ever he gets a chance he will go out into the woods or the local range or the local dump and take pot shots at various items be it cans, bottles, or even the odd squirrel. A BB gun is is personal favorite to use since the ammo is relatively cheep and one didn't need a permit for it, which he does have. But he is proficient in a compound bow, rifle, and shot gun.
Races: Anything that requires one person or group of people to beat another person or group of people using their brains and speed appeals to Dev. This fascination started off with NASCAR then he picked up on events like marathons, bike races, and triathlons. Watching a single person struggle and prevail against themselves, the clock, and opponents appealed to his competitive nature. Now he races his bike with friends, enters local races or marathons, and keeps abreast of the world of racing.
Puzzles: He enjoys putting together complicated systems such as engines or watches. Dev is good at it and will gladly help others with their problems as well. Have a flat tire? He can fix it given enough time. Does your watch make a odd noise? Let Dev at it, I'm sure he can figure it out.
Virtues: Break It Down: Dev is good at pulling things apart and put them back together both mentally and physically. He is a hands on learner and as such picks up things really quick.This makes it easy for him to pick up practical learning such as boxing, which he doesn't really enjoy but knows how to do, target practice, and fishing. This type of learning helps him solve logic problems and complex issues that occur. He is confident that all he has to do is mentally pull them apart and find the piece that needs fixing to fix any problem that might arise.
Country Boy Charm: Dev was raised to be polite. In him chivalry is not dead. He holds doors open, pulls out chairs, stands when a lady gets up, helps the little old lady across the street, helps carries books, bags, and boxes for others, always says 'please' and 'thank you', never cusses in front of a lady, and will not wear his hat indoors. He seems like a perfect gentlemen.
Flaws: Closet Sexist: While Dev was raised to be polite he is nicer and more helpful for the fairer sex. He likes to help them because he believes that they can't handle the rigorous work that they are doing. They belong up on that pedestal of marble and no true lady would step down from it. They should be at home cooking or cleaning, not doing something hard like carrying those groceries or replacing those light bulbs.
Ladies should be put on pedestals because they're pretty, weak little things and not independent humans with flaws, strengths and weaknesses. And if a female has a issue with this... well they aren't real ladies then are they?
Temper Temper: Dev has a temper and when pushed passed the acceptable level of aggravation he snaps. It no longer matters if you are a girl or a blind guy, Dev will hit you with the same amount of force that he would hit a physically fit man. It is like he is seeing red and no longer really sees what is around him. However his temper doesn't just flare once and is done, he also shows little spurts of anger here and their as he vents his frustration. For instance he will chuck nuts and bolts across the room if he gets frustrated getting a engine part back together, not really caring if they hit anyone although if he did hit someone he would be truly sorry, after all a physical show of anger is not what a true gentleman should do. He will toss his school book out the window of his apartment if he spent a hour reading the same page over and over and still didn't understand it. We all have our limit, his just seems closer and touchier then most.
