Pavo stood by the lake, basking in the reys bouncing off the lapping water. It was a little brisk this morning, but she could handle it. She looked down at the frown that gazed up at her from her reflection. The cold she could take. Most days. It was what the morning fog off the lake did to her bangs and curls that she couldn't stand. And unfortunately, her human wasn't awake yet to comb out her curls.
She huffed into the water, creating little ripples so she didn't have to see the unruly bangs sticking out from her forehead. She stood, looking around her. Maybe there was something she could do to distract herself. She could easily distract herself the two more hours it would take for her human to wake up.
Another slightly annoyed huff and Pavo slowly started to walk the edge of the lake. Skimming the ground and edge of the forest for a sign of any thing that might keep her entertained.

Castor had awoken early to see only a few members of his herd had already awaken. His brother was still asleep, stirring only when he gave him a nudge to see if he was ready to wake. The stallion was out cold and other than a good dose of freezing cold water, didn't think would make a mark on his sleeping state. With a small collected smile, he made his way through the plain of Eden, nodding to his aunt Neria before wandering to the mountain edge.
It was a chilly morning, the air tickling at his coat sent a kick of a shiver through him. He was still getting used to the mountain air. It seemed like a good day to spread his wings, so he did. Stretching them out behind him as far as they could go, then flapping them casually to warm up his still sleepy joints;not as awake as his mind was ready for the day.
After they felt loose enough to make flight comfortable, he kicked off the edge and took to gliding off the mountain side until he reached a reasonable height. Just a smidgen above the tree tops. At this distance, he could still marvel at the detail of nature rather than pass it all by in a minute blur. His eyes made use of the tree tops and the fog that hung beneath him however there was one thing that caught his attention the most out of everything. A sparkling lake and beside it's waters were a figure who he believed from what his vision would allow was most likely clenching their thirst.
Descending, he got a closer look at them, he noticed that it was in fact a mare and her markings were spectacular! Jaw falling loose, he couldn't resist the urge to land, making a graceful trot as his hooves hit the ground not too far from the mare. He gave a shake of his head, allowing his mane to be tossed back and out of his face and his tail a flick.

The cool water slid down her throat as she drank from the lake. Almost chilly enough to bite, but not quite. She drank slowly, so as not to get a brain freeze. But also just to pass the time. It seemed today was promising to be dull and boring.
Just then, the sound of flapping wings could be heard slightly over the lapping of the calm water. Curious, Pavo swallowed the mouth full of water she had and looked up to scan the sky. Sure enough, a steed seemed to be landing. And rather close by too.
Pavo's eyes widened as the stallion seemed to land gracefully. Hair flipping in a breeze she couldn't feel, all in what seemed to be in slow motion. She had to shake her head to clear the sparkles from her eyes that seemed to shine around him. But when she looked again, they still remained. At a closer look, she deemed it must be markings. For to her knowledge, no soquilis actually sparkled.
She watched him almost strut towards her. A brow slightly raising. Her brain began to work again as she had to clench her jaw for a moment so that she would not speak. She would let him speak first. Let him establish the contact. For now, she would just stare coolly at him, wondering what he may say or do.

The mare before him was absolutely beautiful! He couldn't believe his eyes, having to blink a couple of times to make sure she wouldn't vanish in the moment that he reopened them each time.
He had no trouble continuing the trot towards her, his eyes dancing over her frame and markings until finally he was merely a couple of steps away from her when he chose to come to a standstill.
He assumed her markings were a patchwork of various animals but he couldn't be sure considering he hadn't had the chance to see as many as his uncle had. Over the course of the time he had stayed with them he had shared many interesting stories, with descriptions of animals he believed he would only ever see in his imagination.
Finally he let his eyes find hers and studied the expression on her face that they were met with. It seemed as though his presence had puzzled her.
"Hello there." He flashed her a pearly smile.
"I'm sorry if I am disturbing your morning, I saw the magnificent colours of your coat and just had to land for closer inspection." He gently bobbed his head to her. "My name is Castor, I come from Eden. A herdland that resides in the mountain."
He waited a moment before continuing.
"If my interruption is a bother then please, tell me and I will leave if that is your wish." He continued to uphold his smile even with the possibility that she may dismiss him. "May I ask your name?"
