It was a peaceful moonday morning, with the pumpkin sun shining it's weak light down on the school building. It was enough to give warmth to Poke as she crouched on one of the buildings pillars. She was doing a impressive job of blending into the decorations too, except the blue of her wings stood out in stark contrast to the dark greys of the gargoyles. Though while it was peaceful, she still felt alert, watching for danger from her high perch. It had been a while since anything disastrous had happened, and she felt herself growing complacent. It was only a matter of time until something was going to happen. The hunters were still about, and she was sure Caelius was gonna try something. But the reasons she felt concerned about this were two fold. It wasn't just the threat they were on the school and halloween in general that worried her, but the fact that she would need to fight them. Already she had met of few of them. Some of course tried to kill her, but others, they seemed more friendly. And even the aggressive ones seemed to have cause for the viciousness. Taking revenge for their fallen loved ones and all that. Just knowing that humans had been killed sent a unpleasant shiver down her spine. If someone had done that to someone she knew, she would of done the same. The dragoness sighed. There were lots of questions and problems she had, but no answers to guide her. But as she watched students below moving off to class, a thought occurred to her. If she wasn't sure how to proceed, then maybe someone else would? Though she nearly pushed that thought away. Who the hell could she go to and talk about the hunters? Most people in the school hated them, and she didn't want to appear soft hearted, or even worse, a coward. And then, the dragoness paused. While most didn't really care about humans or hunters, there might be one professor whom would listen... Without warning she jumped off her perch, literally free falling for a seconds until her wings opened up to stop her decent, letting her float down until she grabbed onto a open windowsill and hoisted herself inside. She was pretty sure the professor was on this floor...aha! Approaching a door, she knocked on it gently and opened it. "Professor QB, are you in?"

The Amityville-DETH activities room was a modest room, recently refurbished from what was once the storage room for Moonday's Mystery Meatloaf. Now, instead, the small and consistently cold room sported a modest yet rather impromptu window, several file cabinets, two tables, and several animated objects, most likely of the minipet variety, all scrambling around the floor, entirely comfortable with their existence repainted in the bright greens of DETH. The Haunted Stapler had written on its top base: "Hug a Human, save a Human" in comforting white letters.
The professor themselves seemed to have been pulling something out of a large cabinet of papers. Upon seeing the visitor, its larger, entirely jet-black form seemed to pull deeper into itself-
-Until from the darker corner of the cabinet appeared the Professor in his inconspicuous minipet-like appearance. It blinked twice. < I am indeed inside a this time! Is there something I can help you with? >

The room itself looked rather ordinary for a professors office, save for the chill she felt upon entering. Though why the room was so cold was a mystery to the dragoness. Maybe Arel had been here recently? Her eyes were drawn to the stapler with words about hugging and saving humans. Saving them, sure, but hugging them? Was a bit much... Briefly she saw something black in the filing cabinet, but before she could react it was gone, replaced by the professor itself. "Yeah, there is something actually." She began, feeling disconcerted with the way QB's eyes seemed to stare right into her very core. "I...have a problem and I'm unsure how to progress....and it involves humans....so I thought I'd ask you." And hopefully not get shammed for it in the process. "Do you know much about... the hunters? And..would you think them evil?"

The Professor's ears twitched. < The concept of evil is such an unneccessary idea, to many, we could be considered the framework of evil as well. I am sufficient in understanding Hunters, though DETH does not agree with their methods. There are those even of Halloween who would work with them, but we seek more peaceful solutions. > A pause. < Am I wrong in assuming your questions are from personal experiences with these Hunters? >

Whelp, it didn't take the professor long to guess that she had talked with a few of them herself. Poke's ears flattened against her head as she confirmed QB's suspicions. "No, you're right. I have talked to them before. And while I've seen them act...brutally" She frowned at the memories of them in the battle against Red "I have talked with others too...and each time I do, I find myself even less able to fight them on my own." She sighed, looking away from QB towards the labeled stapler. "I take great enjoyment out of a fight, even if I am outmatched. My blood boils at the prospect, It feels good to me cause I can use everything I've learned against them. I can fight with every ounce of strength I have, to flaunt my power and strike them down. But up against the hunters...It's different." Her eyes narrowed as she struggled to explain to the professor how she felt. The words it had used before were now returning to her and hitting home with their concept. 'The framework of evil', seemed to match what she felt very well. "It's not like I'm fighting a friendly brawl just to improve myself the stronger victor. Nor do I have the reassurance that my opponent wont die...at least not permanently." Her gaze traveled up to the professor. "I'm fighting humans. Humans who can die very easily, whom have a cause more important then anything I could come up with. They fighting to protect themselves, their own people. I don't know who or what is killing them but...they've told me. I know they're dying out there, or others that are close to them. And when I hear that..." Her body seemed to deflate as she revealed what really troubled her. "I fell like the evil dragons out of legends, trying to slay the heroic knight whose protecting their kingdom."

If anything, the Professor seemed relieved, < These are important words for you to say! It is good you understand what is accepted in Halloween and what is not. One day, if you wish to leave Amityville and join another, you will be faced with even more dilemmas and choices! Until then, the school is your sanctuary. It is within school rules to say that fighting Humans is absolutely not permitted, neither is communication or contact with any Humans outside of a school escort, such as a professor. Doing so yourself could lead to unthinkable consequences! >
They paused. < For example, how much do you know about what Humans are or even how many there are? >

It was hard not to laugh at being told the school was a 'sanctuary', considering she had dissipated more times then she cared to admit on the school grounds. Though it felt good to have someone to confide in about how she felt about the issues at hand, without being mocked or looked down for it. Listening intently to the professors words, Poke found herself frowning at being told there would be more problems thrown her way. She did expect this of course, having experienced similar issues in the past. Being told she would expect more however was not a pleasant thought. She chose to focus on QB's questions instead. "Ummm..." The dragon ghoul scratched her fins in thought. "Well, I know humans are like reapers, but without the FEAR or the weapons. They think and feel, express emotions. Their culture is vastly different then ours, though there are a few similarities, like skelevision, and movies" Like the big screen with the dinosaurs on it from the field trip. "I also know there are a lot of them too, but I couldn't tell you exactly how many."

His tail twitched, and he looked a little more keen than usual. < It is a good fundamental start, the base of understanding Humans is indeed their emotions! If you had an opportunity to observe one at close proximity, a Human who cannot and will not harm you, would you take this opportunity? >

Pokerus had to stare really hard to notice any change in the professor's expression, though with her keen eyesight she was...able to detect something? Was QB looking more determined? It seemed he was. At least she thought he was. And then he asked her a very interesting and possible beneficial question that had the dragon ghoul very excited indeed. Her eyes lit up as she leaned closer. "Would I take it? Of course I would! I wouldn't miss a opportunity like that!" Poke said eagerly. She had been to the human world before, but then it was part of a class and only for a short amount of time. To observe one up close and personal would be amazing. And the fact she wouldn't be harmed? ...Actually she wasn't worried about that in the slightest. She was confident that she was stronger then any human. She was more worried about hurting them by accident (unless it was a hunter, then it would be a case of trying not to be killed and weaponized)
