William is of a race of creatures with the ability to cleanse one's soul of corruption. They are destined to fight an Evil Race of beings who's very touch can corrupt a soul. William was sent to Planet earth from the 7th Plane of existence to follow a "blip" In the Soul Reaper's radar. They had tracked a Soulrender (The Name of the Evil Species) to the 3rd Plane of existance to a planet named Earth, but their own gifts were not the same as the Soulrenders, who were much more proficient at opening rifts in the space/time continuum. They could only send one Soul Reaper. And it was there he found the greatest of Earth's species. Those that had gifts, and those that were beyond the lesser "reigning" species known as Humans. William is unsure of how many Renders made it through, but he knows that, like in his own home dimension, they would eventually find each other. It was fate.
