Having sparred against a few hunters in different divisions, Jason felt he was...getting the hang of using his sword. He was able to use it like any good hunter did, relying on the link between himself and Zanthvos to guide his actions in a fighting instance. But he still felt he lacked skill. His swings and thrusts were erratic at the best of times, and he still needed to master the art of blocking. Sometimes, he would find himself wishing he had some hindsight. If he had a inkling of what would happen to him later in life, he would of taken up fencing as a child. Or kendo or...some form of sword fighting. Though even if he couldn't tell his child self, he could still try and learn some more skills. And when it came to combat, there was only one person he could think of that would help him. Or more appropriately, one person he wasn't afraid of approaching. Mostly. 'Zanth...I dunno if this is a good idea' He thought to himself as he approached the door to Allan's room, already sweating.
'Cause it's Allan...he's a sun division leader...I'm a moon'
'Well I'm not exactly suited to combat am I? And what if he thinks I should spar him? He'd probably slice me in two...'
Still not convinced, he knocked gently on the door. "S-Sir, Allan...are you in?"

Having just finished rewatching Ergo Proxy and having had Simon explain the general ending to him for the twelfth time, Allan was in introspection mode. The Sun lead opened the door, beaming at Jason, before schooling his fingers into a more serious expression. Some of his smile still leaked through, making it look like he was sort of pouting or simply inhaling a lot of air. "I am in," He replied, with serious business face, "But the true question young grasshopper is if I am in."
Yes Allan, true words of introspection.

Stepping back as the door was opened, Jason smiled back albeit a little more awkward. But even with the awkwardness, He found himself feeling more at ease. It was just too hard to be afraid of a guy who was trying to be serious, but failing miserably at it. It was a rather nice change of pace compared to what he usually put up with. The moon trainee was having difficulties trying to understand what Allan meant however. Was he trying to be philosophical? "Umm, I think the answer might be....Yes?"
'Zanthvos you start this up right now while I'm talking to a division leader I'll never use the pod room again'
That seemed to shut him up. At least for now.

"Surprise!" Allan beamed, losing his guise entirely, "The answer is both! I am in and not in!" He paused, nodding. "Yes, I know, give it some time to sink in, Simon-kun had to explain it to me too, seven times today, during each of our sparring sessions, so I wouldn't forget, uh, about the answer that is. And look, I remembered it!"
Nothing more than still entirely self-congratulatory, Allan pulled the door wide open. "So are you here to consult more spiritual training of the mind with Allan-taichou?" He seemed excited. "We could watch the newest episodes of One Piece together!"

"O-oh! Thats good to hear!" Jason said, his mind reeling at the amount of times Allan had already sparred today. Seven? I can get by with one, maybe two even, but seven?!Though apparently he was more interested in doing 'spiritual training' in the form of watching anime (was that even possible?). The moon trainee looked a little nervous as he replied. "Umm, s-sure, b-but first, if at all possible.." He shifted on his feet and did his best not break out into a sweat. Easy going or not, this was slightly nerve-wracking. "W-would you be able to give me some pointers in swordsmanship?" Jason asked. "I-I'd like to improve, a-and I f-figured you'd be the best person to ask."

Allan's eyes practically gleamed with a light of their own. "What you ask of me is a task of the kokoro, of improving one's power through the only way possible: inner strength and belief of spirit!" As the Sun lead talked, his voice grew increasingly louder. "The art of training cannot be fully conquered, only learned through practice and perseverence but fear not trainee-kun! You must gaze fearlessly into the light and conquer each special skill step by step! You must tame the burning mountains and the thundering waterfalls and learn to hear even the whisper of a single leaf! What you ask is no simple task but we will begin it as long as there is belief!"
Allan looked at Jason with wide eyes, gripping the trainee - a little too enthusiastically - on the shoulders. It was kind of a manly moment. "Now tell me, search deep into your kokoro. What does your spirit tell you to believe in?"

Jason wanted to ask what a 'kokoro' was (he knew a few Japanese words, but this one seemed to slip his mind.), but he found himself caught up in what was clearly a inspirational speech. And if he really thought about it, he wondered if Allan had been transported straight from said anime to give said speech. It was a little cheesy, and the part about the burning mountains and waterfalls had him feeling more like a ninja then a hunter, but the speech still stirred him, the enthusiasm of Allan's words allowed him to think that maybe, just maybe, if he believed in himself. With his shoulders being held firmly, the moon trainee did his best to look deep inside himself (getting past his weapon who was singing some sort of song from a Disney movie), and came up with a answer. This answer may have come from something he had watched before else but hey, he thought it was appropriate. His arms came up to grip Allan's arms, and he looked back with determination and said. "It tells me to not believe in myself, but to believe in you, who believes in me!"

It was right there and then that Allan shed a single (yet manly) tear. "Truerest," this wasn't actually a word, but the Sun Lead was feeling clever "words have never been mentioned today!" And then a second later, his weapon was summoned, a simple looking broadsword. Allan looked at Jason with determination.
"Now. Use those words and your determination and spirit! Strike with your kokoro and don't look back!"
Please note that they were still in the dormitories and not the training fields. If Allan blasted another wall into the adjacent room, a certain Death lead was going to have to beat up two entire blonde midgets at the same time to satiate his anger at the damage of his shower facilities.

While it was rather odd to see a division leader shed Manly tears, at least Allan seemed rather happy about it. Jason visibly flinched when he saw the weapon summoned, but relaxed when it was clear the sun division lead wasn't going to use his super giant sword on him. Yes, this was good, this was really good. Perhaps he could really just focus on a friendly spar with the sun lead? There was still some hesitation, considering they were in a hallway and if there was damage done to the exterior walls, he didn't want to be around to see the consequences. 'Zanth how the hell do you even know what half those words mean. And I can't transform.'
'HOW'
Jason knew s**t all about transforming. But at the very least, he was being ordered by someone of a higher rank...well, whatever, it wasn't as if he could bash open a wall
Stepping back, Jason did the only 'transformation' he could think of, and made a lot of very weird movements with his arms as he summoned his own sword to fight and struck a pose that was something akin to a power rangers episode. Holding the sword out in front, he then grabbed it with both hands and pulled it back so he could charge at Allan...
Only to trip on his coat, and fall face first on the floor.
Jason wouldn't of cared if he was eaten by zombies at this point, because nothing could be worse then this very moment, he was sure of it.

It was a good thing the Sun lead's room was as generously spacious as it was, as Noah was seriously expecting Jason to just flat out impale himself with his own weapon. Allan chastised the doppleganger, turning to Jason, patting him on the back. "A courageous attempt, I see it burning already, you spirit and determination! Come, we must-"
< -Maybe at the training fields? > Noah suggested-
-"Go to the training fields to unlock our Bankai-"
< Yaaaaay! I want to be a keyblade this time! Like that one we saw when you were playing Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix and- >
-"Defeat the shadows in our heart!"
And with that Allan grabbed Jason in one arm and the two of them -ahem- went into his closet together.
They came out the other end right at the training fields, Allan now holding a fancy keyblade. "Okay, try again! But this time yell 'Light! Master of all chakra be with me! Bring justice to my blade! Justice strike!'"

While Zanth was a little sad he didn't get to 'impale' Jason (which left Jason to shout in his head that Zanthvos should NOT be having these thoughts in a battle, but he did anyway so it was a useless order), the moon trainee felt a little better as Allan hadn't thought he was a complete moron and walked off. Instead he felt his arm being tugged, and he was pulled up and towards what appeared to be Allan's closet -
- And onto the training fields.
<....MY LIFE IS RUINED.>
Again ignoring his weapon, Jason was surprised to see that the sun division lead was now holding a keyblade. A actual keyblade. "W-wait, how did you..." He started, then blanched at being asked to call out....that
It was even worse then what Zanth asked him to call out.
the fallen angel screamed in his head, his excitement at seeing Jason lose a bit mroe of his pride evident. And with no real reason to say no (except that he would have no dignity left), he sighed, held up his sword, and charged once more.
"LIGHT! MASTER OF ALL CHAKRA BE WITH ME! BRING JUSTICE TO MY BLADE! JUSTICE STRIKE"
Apparently it helped, somehow, as his jumped forwards with a horizontal strike at Allan without falling over.

Clang went Jason's weapon as it hit the keyblade, Allan deflecting some of the impact by quickly stepping a few paces back, "That's the spirit! Believe in yourself and you can give yourself power! Remember who you are!"
Noah, in the meanwhile, was laughing his (figurative) head off. Allan mentally bopped him on the head, telling his weapon to behave.
"One more time Jason-kun! Be strong and use your outdoor voice! Don't be shy and release your inner self and shout 'BEGONE DARKNESS! I BANISH YOU FROM THE REALMS AND THUS CLEAN MYSELF FROM FEAR'!" poke mattix This is training with Allan......

Jason wasn't sure what Allan meant by 'remember who he was', as he already knew who he was; a guy shouting out anime lines while swinging a sword. It was utterly embarrassing, and he just hoped no one was around to see this. Although it made him wonder if this was how all sun hunters would train, and he had a few moments to envision Rep or Ofelia shouting out these lines as they sparred. While Zanthvos pondered which would be the more appearing one in such a scenario, the moon trainee stepped back to give himself room, then jumped forwards with a vertical swing this time. "BEGONE DARKNESS! I BANISH YOU FROM THE REALMS AND THUS CLEAN MYSELF FROM FEAR" Nope, not a shred of dignity left. HP: 50 Damage: 10 zoobey I FEEL MY POWER LEVELS RISING!

There was a satisfying clang and a puff of dust as the result of a mighty battle. Slowly, the dust cloud cleared. Allan shed a single (manly) tear as he clasped both hands on Jason's shoulder.
"You have learned everything I could possibly teach you now." The sun lead stared at Jason meaningfully, "now use this power wisely! Only you can remember the path of light!"
As an afterthought, Allan pulled out a wad of Naruto stickers and stuck one to Jason's coat. "Remember your training well!"

"I-I have?!" Jason said with a hint of bewilderment, lowering his sword and letting it morph back into it's pin form. He had only swung his sword a few times, and now he had learned everything? How did that even-
"A-ah, Right sir..." The moon trainee said while pretending Zanth didn't exist, looking down at his Naruto sticker. He had gotten a sticker of the leaf village sigma. "I will use my powers responsibly."
...at least it looked kinda cool.
zoobey Jason-kun accepts his sticker ouo He doesn't know what to do with it though, but he still accepts it!
