An entire row of small study rooms line the wall of the library. Your group has been shuffled into one of them, and in the room is a book titled:
Creature from the Black Lagoon: An E! True Hollywood Story
Read and research the book, or slack off and do nothing for an hour. The choice is yours.

Thankful at having been given some direction Kettil meandered into the room without complaint. He moved to flop down into a chair within the room and soon his dark eyes gazed upon the cover of the book in the room.
"Eeeh?" He leaned forward and pulled it closer toward him and then looked questioningly at his fellow groupmates. Should they study this instead?
This seemed a bit more what was expected of them in hindsight, perhaps.
Kettil pursed his lips, "Suppose we should divide up duties of some sort? Like maybe one of us reads or fact finds and the other takes notes? I am not sure how this sorta thing works in a group," he admitted with a laugh.

Floating into the room they been assigned to, Rosy arches a brow as she looks around for a moment. Why were these places always so small? With a sigh, she leans against the wall instead of sitting. Her eyes looking at the book in which Kettil had a hold of as she arched a brow.
This teacher couldn't be serious, she wanted them to read and take notes from this?
Pinching the bridge of her nose, she finally pushed away from the wall to take a seat next to Kettil so she could get a better look at the book. Lifting the hard cover, she shakes her head before she laughs "I'll take notes, I rather do that then read. Actually I rather be doing nothing, but I have a feeling that won't be a good idea." she instantly thought of the Professor Selene they saw in class.
No, she didn't want that again.
Looking towards the other, she nods towards the book "So what now? Who wants to read this thing?" she looks towards Zel, remembering he offer to read earlier.

Zel had not been offended when Amarus had declined his offer for a ride - a little disappointed perhaps, but he was good at masking that behind a smile and a nod. He'd even given her bonus points for trying to be "helpful" with her selection of books, and when they'd gotten herded off towards the rooms, he'd made every attempt to get a hold of her and drag her along with him, both with his hands or with his tail.
Had he known about these study rooms sooner - and mostly bad on him for not looking around, he would have picked these as a prime spot to study with Amarus - though lately very little actual study was going on with them.
Well unless you counted biology - mainly anatomy.
But that wasn't what they were supposed to be focusing on today!
When he suddenly became the focal point of Rosy as far as being the "reader" he winced a bit and coughed into his hand politely.
"I can, I mean..." He moved over and picked up the book, flipping it open and flipping through a few pages before making a face. Really? This was all pop-culture and fluff.
They were supposed to LEARN from this? Sighing he looked around the room for an out - but he didn't think he'd get one.
"Fine, I'll read, but some one better take notes."
He was half tempted to say jack it - they could just screw around for an hour and be no more worse off at this rate.

Darren was very, very glad someone else was reading the book, and probably taking notes too. He wasn't completely illiterate, but his reading level probably wasn't much higher than the lovely picture book Amarus had found climbing the shelves. He'd actually managed to snag that and sneak it into the room with them and was actively reading from it with a slight grin.
See - this book he could read! Plus it had pictures, that made it even better.
He was pretty much zoned out now - figuring he'd just borrow notes from someone later.

Amarus had accepted Zel's hand, and held onto it as they were ushered towards their study room. She was totally zoned out, staring at walls or the ceiling or something as if she could will a ladder to drop down and save her from the Library. And from class. Jack, her boilfriend had better make this class attendance thing up to her later; this was proving to be the most work she'd ever done. Ever.
"Not it," she decreed, lazily, in response to her group trying to figure out who would read. She sat down not in a chair, but on the table, peering over the top of the book. Boring. She shifted around to read over the book Darren had: that picture book she'd taken down about the princesses. Hey, at least this had pictures in it.
She leaned in, and said: "I'm sure you would make a very pretty princess," with a grin.
It became rapidly apparent the reason she'd sat on top of the table was so she could spin around whenever she wanted and be nosy about absolutely anything in the interest of keeping herself awake.

"I'll do it," Kettil announced with a bit of a chuckle. As he took out a new small note pad from somewhere within his vest (seriously where does he keep those?), and then also took out a pen from a pouch at his belt. Kettil looked over at Zel and beamed cheerfully, "See? We work together good! Maybe we can make this entertaining..."
Kettil let out a small hum. How to make this entertaining? He wasn't sure. The boil shrugged his shoulders a bit, "Nevermind I guess." He laughed.
They should take this seriously, right? He was mostly concerned for the three others not really doing anything.
"I mean we could kind of discuss what was read on the pages and then I'll keep additional notes on it. I am sure Miss Selene'd like that!" Kettil said cheerfully. Discussions were fun...Right?
At least more fun than reading and actual studying.

Zel rubbed the bridge of his nose, he'd really been hoping nobody would have wanted to take notes and he wouldn't have to read this schlock. Sighing audibly at Kettil's enthusiasm, he opened the book again and started to read the first line in preparation to speak.

No - he wasn't going to do this. This book told him nothing but useless trivia about the "Creature From the Black Lagoon" - whoever that was. Closing the book with a loud snap, he placed it down on the table and just shook his head.
"This book is useless Kettil, I think we should just say Jack it and take the rest of the day off." Huffing a bit, he turned to look at the door.
"As much as I'd love to actually learn something - we're not going to from this stupid thing." he tapped the book with his knuckles. "At least not in my opinion.
Sliding the book to Kettil he shrugged his shoulders. "If you want to read it and try to piece together some notes - feel free. I'm gonna see if I can find something that I can actually use to learn."
With that he moved to the door and looked up. "Anyone's free to join me." Even if he was pointedly looking at Amarus. He wasn't going to ask her to come with him - it would be her choice. But he would like her to.
With that he slipped out the door.

Darren looked up at Amarus and tilted his head. "Wouldn't... I be a prince though? Since I'm a boil?"
Her statement confused her, but that confusion was stifled when Zel made his statements about leaving and finding something better to work with. Darren really didn't care one way or another, but he was getting kind of hungry and he looked up after Zel left. "Uhm... I think I'm gonna go get something to eat... actually...."
He put the book down on the table, making a mental note to see if he could find it again. He'd really liked it.
He waved to everyone, including Rosy - who he didn't expect to follow him, and slipped out the door himself.

Rosy blinks a couple of times as she watch Zel, who was the one who enjoyed studying, actually get up and leave. Her jaw drops a little as if she was going to say something, but found she was unable to. Looking back towards the others that remained, she turns as she see her brother also take off out of the study room.
Course she wasn't surprised he wanted to leave. Shaking her head, she stands slowly before she floats away from the table "Um...yea...I think I'm gonna go play some casketball, maybe see about checking out the maul." with a small wave to Amarus and Kettil, she smiles "It was nice to meet you both, maybe I will see you both around and we can hang out again."
Pulling the study room door open, she glance around before heading down the hallway.
Freedom....
