This thread is for the Metaplot round 1 battle for Altair. Only a member of staff or Asu should post here.

Subtract -5 from attacks that use an element the target is resistant to. Add +5 to attacks the target is weak against.
To battle, first make a post rolling the die stating only the action that you are doing. Once the total has been calculated, go edit the post with an actual short paragraph of action.
Be sure to state what it is you are doing in each post, keep a tally of your current HP at the bottom of your post. If you gain HP be sure to note how much you had before the healing was done, followed by what it is AFTER the healing.

All of the Possessed humans have glowing eyes. It was speculated that the color hinted at which element the Malice controlling the human was most attuned to. Blue for water/ice, red for fire, purple for wind, green for earth/plant. Other colors were present for those with other elements. Avon had taken volunteers to go out and rescue these humans from the grasp of the Malices, together they went down to the town and spread out to fight off any possessed humans.
Your Meta has run into a possessed human. They both face each other, ready for a fight. The human makes the first move, sending out an elemental attack aimed to slow down your Meta.

Altair had secretly signed up for this, knowing that at least her Papa would get angry if she put herself in danger. At first she had thought that would be stupid and over protective, but then the human send a fireball at her head. She blocked by pulling all of the paper near by up in front of her as a temporary shield, thankfully just enough to prevent any damage.
She then backed up, rethinking her attack plan.

He cackled as she backed off. Paper, huh? He'd win for sure. He summoned up two large fireballs and then darted forward before sending them hurling at her face.

Since she had already made up her mind to attack, by the time the fireballs reached her it was too late for her to defend. Instead she attempted to move to the side so she could take less of a hit. She yelped in pain, but forced herself to concentrate, then forced a cut to open up on his leg. Maybe it would slow him down...

He yelled out in pain as he felt his skin tear open on his leg. What kind of power was that supposed to be? He backed up, summoning a few more fireballs which he then threw at her.

Altair quickly brought up another paper shield, but the heat from the fire still caused her some damage. She hissed in pain, then backed off a little further to wait for the opponent's next move.

She saw the attack coming at the last second and then put together another paper shield. This time she managed to run away in time to not take as much damage as before.

Altair attempted to get out of the line of fire, literally, but ended up getting hit again. This time she launched a few paper bombs at him in order to get further away.

The paper bombs were unexpected, but being a fire element himself he didn't feel as terrible, despite the damage not being softened. He fired off a few more balls of fire in her direction.

Eventually despite her attempts to dodge she gets hit by another fireball, then turns to give him a new papercut.
