This thread is for the Metaplot round 1 battle for Valeria. No one but a staff member of Pidgeons Go Meow X3 should post here.

Subtract -5 from attacks that use an element the target is resistant to. Add +5 to attacks the target is weak against.
To battle, first make a post rolling the die stating only the action that you are doing. Once the total has been calculated, go edit the post with an actual short paragraph of action.
Be sure to state what it is you are doing in each post, keep a tally of your current HP at the bottom of your post. If you gain HP be sure to note how much you had before the healing was done, followed by what it is AFTER the healing.

All of the Possessed humans have glowing eyes. It was speculated that the color hinted at which element the Malice controlling the human was most attuned to. Blue for water/ice, red for fire, purple for wind, green for earth/plant. Other colors were present for those with other elements. Avon had taken volunteers to go out and rescue these humans from the grasp of the Malices, together they went down to the town and spread out to fight off any possessed humans.
Your Meta has run into a possessed human. They both face each other, ready for a fight. The human makes the first move, sending out an elemental attack aimed to slow down your Meta.

Valeria knew at first glance that she was up against a human possessed by darkness. She grew tense and pondered if she should run, but was bombarded by the human's first attack before she could act on her fears.
"Aaaaeeeeeee!" She cried, plummeting to the ground. Damn, they were powerful! She had to do something quick or she'd be chop meat! She raised her arms above her head and summoned twelve pointer-finger sized arrows. "Take this!" She screamed and flung them towards the human.

The human let out a shriek as the arrows hit his arms. He then emitted a low growl as the shadows near him began to grow large, forming spikes. With a wave of his hand, they launched forward towards Valeria at astonishing speed.

Valeria crouched down as close to the ground as she could and held her knees close to her chest as the spikes flew towards her. Then, her body and wings began to glow brightly and the air around her grew warm and humid. Only one pink eye could be seen peeking out from her hands, watching to see if her efforts would produce anything good.

Well, since she lit up the area the shadow spikes disappeared, only to reform later as the image of a large black lion, tiger and bear. The three illusion creatures then pounced, claws extended. Meanwhile, he moved to a more shadowy location to blend in.

Although startled, Valeria hopped up from her crouching position and continued to glow as bright as she could muster. However, during her leap into the air, one of the illusions managed to scratch her leg and cause her to yelp. She grimaced and peered around, her sense of direction kicking in. Where did her actual foe rush off to?

He conjured a few more illusion animals, as well as a couple images of himself so that the real version could move to a hiding spot. The new images chased after Valeria, claws drawn.

Valeria kept her focus even as she was attacked by the illusions. These "beasts" and duplicates weren't real, she knew that. The real foe was hiding somewhere towards her left and she knew it. She summoned seven mini arrows and flung them towards the shadows that concealed her target. "Found you!" She exclaimed.

(Also using her Ask for directions? Naaaah, power. This is neither an attack or a defense, it helps her locate the real attacker)

He took the brunt of the attack in favor of having one of his illusion bears come up and make a swipe for her back.

Sensing another attack from behind, Valeria used all of her energies to produce a light bright enough to disperse the shadows around her. As the darkness faded around them she summoned three dozen mini arrows and held them, ready to attack at any moment.

He ducked behind a dumpster, choosing instead to send out more illusion animals to attack her.

Valeria avoided the attacks of the illusions and followed her foe behind the dumpster. There, she stared him down with a grin.
"Aww, you scared of a little light?" She teased.

Ah, there she was. Just as he had wanted. He grinned, launching a volley of illusion and shadow arrows at her as soon as she made herself an open target.

Valeria took a deep breath and mustered up more energy in order to keep her glow going. She gazed around at the illusions being conjured around her and tried her best to focus on the target standing before her.

Damage Done: Attacker rolled 12, defense rolled 10 + 5 for elemental advantage; 10 + 5 = 15; 12 - 15 = -3; Foe take 3 damage, Valeria takes none.
(But, the move involves something that the foe is weak against, making it both a defense and an attack. However, to avoid any trouble, I'll make it a defense move only)
