She'd lost them.
Somehow Nightshade had become separated from her two brothers. She didn't remember how or when it had actually happened, her memory too spotty to piece together. She had woken up under the roots of a willow, alone. Her throat was raw from the amount of howling she had done to attempt to track her brothers down. Her paws blistered from how long she had journeyed. She was losing more and more hope as the days went by.
Where had they gone? Had they left her? Had she left them? Were they dead? No. No, they couldn't be. They were the only ones keeping her afloat. The only ones she loved. The only ones she could touch without.... without the visions. Part of her knew they had to be alive. If they were dead, she would've seen it. That's all her visions ever let her see. Death.
Nightshade shook her head, muttering to herself as she continued to drag her feet. She would continue until she was no longer able to. She would find them. But for now, she was thirsty. Her stomach snarled at her as well, but there was nothing she could do for it. Raising her nose to the air, she scented the wind. The smell and quiet sound of running water came to her and she headed in it's direction. A small break, and then she would continue on her journey.
