Text from Allan

^____^ Guess what time it is! It is NAKAMA TIME!!! ^___^ Allan-taichou has great news to share with you so please come upstairs to my room! ^_^ I have pocky too! ^___^V V^__^ ^___^V

PostPosted: Sat Feb 23, 2013 10:53 pm

The room is rather immaculate, considering all the clutter: if there was one way to explain organized clutter, it would be pretty much the state of Allan's room. Even the action figures seemed almost sparkling, the glass cases without even a single fingerprint on it.

The Sun lead was in deep concentration, reading two interchangeable pieces of paper back and forth that said something with the words "QUARTERLY DIVISION ASSESSMENT" and the second that wrote in simpler Comic Sans font "QUARTERLY DIVISION ASSESSMENT: ABRIDGED EDITION".

In one of the overly plush couches, Simon was simply polishing his guns, though it could be noted he was still wearing a frilly Inuyasha apron. On the coffee table were several stacks of Hello Kitty binder, stationary, and a writing pad, a complete set for each stack, as well as a bento box and an oversized box of Pocky. There was no real explanation yet as to what was going on though the top of each Hello Kitty folder did imply, in neat text, Quarterly Division Assessment followed by the date.

the ooc

All full ranked Sun Hunters have been invited! This is the quarterly division meeting + assessment. It doesn't seem too threatening, though there are a few Sun Hunters already lounging about, several of them flipping through their blank Hello Kitty notebooks, while others are writing furiously into it. It seems neither Allan or Simon have begun divulging anything yet, though if anything, several Sun Hunters look a little stressed.

If one noted really carefully, they could also see a sheet of gold star stickers peeking out from one of Allan's coat pockets.

Have a seat/ enter/ and then the "meeting" will get started!

If you are a trainee or intermediate Sun Hunter you can pop in too to learn a lesson or two, the door is open and Allan didn't exactly send the invite for Pocky to only full Hunters...

Jerry was wary as he entered Allan's room. He was wearing a fresh set of coveralls, unzipped to show his brightly colored shirt Jordan and his other friends seemed incapable of getting him to stop wearing and his jacket had been mostly cleaned of it's bloodstains. There was little that could be done about the scorch marks testing had left, unfortunately.

He cleared his throat, hesitantly approaching the binders. "Er... Good afternoon, Allan, sir." He managed a nervous smile, trying not to let his eyes stray too long to Simon's apron.

The last time he had been here, the man had nearly shot him, and Jerry had blasted a hole through the wall. It looked in better repair now, at least. And as far as he knew, the fog dragon was gone.

Allan beamed brightly as Jerry showed up, nodding enthusiastically. He had just attended a seminar on how hand gestures - run by the Psychology department, which was actually just a mixture of several divisions calling it different names in attempts to make themselves feel special and more personal - made a huge difference in motivational speaking. Jerry was treated to two whole poses, a ninjitsu hand action, and a series of complicated sign language symbols that were actually picked up from an anime about the high school life of intense sign language spelling competitions.

"Jerry-kun! I'm glad you could make it! Did you have a good week? How are things? Are you eating okay? How is your boyfriend?" The motivational speaking class had also suggested that asking questions was the key to showing interest in others, though that would actually require Allan remembering things accurately and not in Allan-o-vision. The Sun Lead pointed at his sheet of paper, in a highly exaggerated way. "Did you read this yet! We are going to channel our division specialization kokoro together and create a beautiful burst of raw, powerful emotion! The other divisions wont know what hit them!"

He made an exploding motion with his hand gestures followed by his idea of what it meant when he said 'the other divisions wont know what hit them', which involved a heart, two bird shaped hand puppets, and apparently a giant hand-shaped dragon eating the remaining bird shaped hand puppet.

Piecing his guns back together, Simon began to make sandwiches with intense focus, using Allan's preferred method.

"I ah... d-don't have a erm... Fine, sir- N-no, sir- I ah... yes, I mean-" After the fourth question and by the time the puppets made their appearance, Jerry gave up.

He wasn't sure what had gotten into his division leader, but he wasn't one to argue with eccentricities. "It sounds like it'll be ah... fun, sir!" He finally managed through the barrage of encouragement with a forced attempt at an equally encouraging smile, and suddenly began to seem excessively interested in the sheet of paper the vibrant haired man had pointed out.

He tried to ignore Simon's guns.

If the text had been from anyone else, Rep might have been worried, since it was from Allan, he was not. Good news was good news and pocky was pocky. He remembered that much at least, mentally filed in his head as it was as biscuit sticks. He was dressed properly for a change and had even opted to wear an actual shirt under his fur ruffed sun hunter coat. It was anyone's guess where he'd gotten a t-shirt with an amiga symbol on it.

He entered the room with a lazy grin, not quite registering the folder's title or nature of the meeting, instead tunnel visioning the snacks. He was about to make a beeline for the bento box and pocky when he noticed with a definite twist of dread that Simon was also present. He saluted curtly as if on reflex. "Sirs."

Jerry was hanging around already, which was good, it meant if someone was going to get shot today, there was a 50/50 chance it wouldn't be him.

"Awright Jerry?" he added, before retrieving himself a handful of chocolate pocky.

Jordan arrived shortly afterward, giving Allan and Simon a respectful nod as he did, and picking up a notepad and binder before he sat down. Quarterly assessment, huh. Some of the other Suns in the room looked stressed, which could very well be a bad sign.

He took a cautious peek inside the binder, hoping that the material inside wasn't going to involve too many kitty face emotes.

Bix was a bit red in the face when he arrived which seemed to be attributed to him rushing. He'd taken a quick nap, missed his alarm, and then ended up hurrying. He was grateful to see that not too many people had gotten here before him... but then again he didn't remember how many of the sun hunters he knew were actually fully ranked.

"Hey guys.." He waved a hand before running it through his hair fussily. He hadn't had time to check it in a mirror before he left.

Oooh Hello Kitty notebooks! Yay!

Jerry looked relieved as Rep came to the rescue, his wobbly smile remaining as he glanced to Jordan and Bix as well. Familiar faces. Good good good. "I'll ah... J-just ah... check the binders, sir! Um!" And promptly patted Rep with a silent thank you before backing away toward where Jordan and Bix had seated themselves.

"I'm always feeling like I'm doing something wrong around them," He hissed to Rep as he took a seat, his eyes locked on Simon and his furious Sandwiching before looking away again and clearing his throat.

"Jordan!! You going to bring up ah... the project?" That was a much more exciting topic than their trigger happy and slightly off-kilter leads.

"Once there's a suitable opening to do so," Jordan answered in an undertone. "It's an off-duty thing, so it's low priority. Business should come first."

Bix got a nod of greeting and a grunt as he joined them, Rep's mouth too full of chocolate to actually say anything constructive. Even Jerry only got a sympathetic nod and a mumble.

He did however raise a brow at the conversation. The project? In Life maybe a project would be some amazing invention that might make a difference somehow to someone. He wasn't sure what constituted a project in Sun.

Tracey interjected.

It took him a bit to realise maybe it was the schoolhouse they were talking about. Buildings were boring. He went back to his food.

"All right, I think that's everyone!" Allan handn't actually bothered to count, though his gut instinct told him it was okay to start talking pretty much well, whenever really. He picked up the sheet of paper between his index and middle finger and pushed it forward, as if somehow everyone would magically be able to read the folder and wedged contents. "I now declare the Sun meeting of nakama, friendship and spiritual bonding to begin! Now, everyone pick up their spiritual bonding book!"

It was a good thing Allan was really sold on the hand gesturing thing as he pointed on each kit on the coffee table. "Now inside your spiritual bonding notebook I took the time to draw you our pledge of honour as a Sun Hunter!"

Yes, Allan had taken said time to showcase his How to Draw Anime skills. Most, if they were lucky, sported a slightly symmetrical face, though some Sun Hunters would find their notebook complete with entirely exaggerated chins, bug-eyed eyes and sparkles in every corner of indentation. Most of the caricatures were accompanied by a word bubble that said things such as "Remember your friends!" or "Being a Sun Hunter is helping others!" or even "Kar Car Carp Karp Cat Cap Cape Carpe Diem!"

"Now being a team means leading is just as important as following. Allan-taichou is proud of you shinigami-tachi, but it is time for you to move up your ranks, spread your wings! Hone your skills! A lazy Sun Hunter is not a Sun Hunter at all!" He paused; rescanning his sheet of paper. "Ah yes, specializaions! Projects! Each of you have reached the final stage in your shinigami ranks, and it is time to prove your worth and test your skills by helping others. Remember your kokoro and share it with the others, as a Sun Hunter. You must become a leader too and help lead us forward with your guiding light, in the form of a task, a goal, a will!"

Allan began excitedly waving his arms around more and more animatedly as he talked. Thankfully before he could hit something or someone, he finally paused. "Now who is ready first to share their kokoro and propose how they can contribute to being a Sun Hunter!"

A shorter female Hunter tentatively raised her hand. "Allan-taichou, permission to speak." She waited for his nod and pressed on, entirely familiar with his antics. "For my specialization, I was thinking of moving to defensive hand-to-hand combat. I will begin open hand-to-hand combat drill sessions for all trainees and Hunters to attend as well as provide demonstrations and sparring sessions on safety and Fear-related self defense in this section."

"Hmmm..." Allan crossed his arms, looking thoughtful. "That sounds... That sounds amazing! Ganbatte Karen-chan! You can do it! Simon-kun will set you up with some pocky as a reward to help fuel you through the training days!"

Hopefully, this meant funding too, though the thought of Allan plus accounting seemed extremely obscure. The Sun Lead excitedly placed his hands on his waist. "Okay, who's next!"

OOC
Open brainstormig session has begun! This is where you can ask npcs requests and questions related to specialization as well as choose a specialization. If you alreay have one you will also need to propose what your prospective goals are for the current "near future" with your specialization. Think of it as a term project!

Simon took a moment to adjust the Pocky budget. The other divisions had budgeting that allowed for new equipment, new facilities, and acquiring various goods off-island. Unfortunately the majority of the Sun Division funds went directly to the Moons who had to perpetually repair and clean up after the more destructive Sun hunters. All they could afford with the remainder was snacks.
