Spinning away Kioda tore through the underbrush. Her wings clasped tightly against her side. Her claws ripping up the earth with each hurried footstep. She had to outrun the Ysali dragon as quickly as possible. Shifting her angle around a tree Kioda changed directions. Maybe if it was chasing her down she could easily escape my making her not worth the extended effort of finding. That was unless the dragon was far more skilled than she was in hunting. That thought caused her heart to plummet. Oh why hadn't she asked for help? Why had she been to stubborn to stick with her sisters instead of insisting on competing for top place in the family.

Her chest heaved as she continued to run, spurred on by the sound of the Dragons roar. It didn't matter how far or fast she ran, the beast was intent on following her. She had probably disturbed its hunting grounds. Or worse it's nest. Either case until she either turned to fight or managed to flee unharmed there was little chance this was going to end any time soon.

Finding a small clearing in the tree's Kioda circled the perimeter, she could possibly confuse the great dragon. Leading it in a circle around the clearing over and over again until it gave up. Thinking hunting her a lost cause. Nodding her head with a huff Kioda made the circle yet again. Her wings extending near the end of the third pass. One swoop swoop of her wings to right them for flight and another to lift into the air.

Kioda stared down at the forest floor, she had timed it just right. The Ysali had broken into the clearing a moment later sniffing around until it located her tracks. Not waiting to see of the dragon had seen her. Kioda turned tail and sped as far away from the clearing as she could. All she had to do now was put enough distance between herself and the dragon. From there she would have to calculate her way home.
