Sikio hadnt wandered in a while, so he decided it was time to hop out from the bushes so to speak, and take a wander. Usually he was shy, but sometimes he felt he needed to break out of the bubble. Hi parents were protective, and probably wouldnt let him go, but he wanted to wander, and wander he shall do. He saw the family, backs towards him, now, he would make the run for it. He jumped into the other bushes, tumbling in a landing. like a little cream ninja. Now that he had evaded the parents and family, he hadnt a clue where to wander, but he guessed this is where wandering started usually.
PIcking himself up off the ground where he landed in a sick roll, he walked off into the unexplored world, ready for whatever found him. emerging out of the bushes, he found himself in tall grass, which made him blend even better. he grinned at his stealthiness, and stalked along. enjoying the wandering, he drank in the scents around him. wait...did he smell another feline? no, it must have been his imagination. he doubted anyone could see him anyways, so what did it matter?
Alright, so maybe this wasnt as fun after all. No, he couldnt think that, surely there were things to be discovered. he couldnt give up! he hadnt even wandered that far yet! He couldnt stop now, he wouldnt! He would probably get caught if he went back now, his parents knew that Sikio did his own thin, but never would they guess he left where the family settled! Again he smiled at his stealth skills, and walked onward. A hare had jumped in his path, and Sikio stared. The hare stared. It then bounded away. one day, hairs would become food, and Sikio really hoped that day was soon.

Bamu as was customary was lounging on a low hanging branch of one of the trees that dotted the landscape here and there. A small breeze shifted through the grass and sent to rustling his fur a little. The leopard gave a grunt and adjusted himself on the branch, one paw dangling down and swaying here and there.
The very tip of his tail began to twitch, one could almost count the beats before it would flick again. The tan leopard male took in a large breath and exhaled it slowly, but loudly. His irritation with being disturbed by the inconsiderate wind. A sound drifted up towards him, and he flicked an ear and did little else. The grass down below was giving a rustle.
Lazily he opened and eye to peer down at who or what was making the noise. The hare bounded through the turf and stood near the base of his tree, flicking an ear and looking from side to side. Instantly Bamu's gaze came into focus and he moved a little on the branch. The paw that hand been dangling came up to balance his weight against the sturdy branch as he carefully watched the rabbit.
Unaware of any danger the rabbit began to nose around the base of the tree, perhaps looking for a place to hide in the shade. Down from the tree Bamu pounced, but he was a fraction of a second too late and off the scared hare ran. The male grunted, he could have given chase, but he was far to lazy and it was far to hot for much of a run. He would try again later tonight, there would be boundless prey this evening he was sure.

Nope. it wasnt his imagination. someone else was here. He was still, and used all his knowledge of stealth and satying still to his advantage. maybe this feline wouldnt notice him. he breathed slowly, and quietly, making next to no noise. He was shy, and if he was spotted, what would he do? He should probably think about this. Well, he shouldnt be scared. He would probably end up being shy, but he wouldnt run away. Inhale, exhale, he drank in the scents. This feline didnt seem to notice him...yet.

Bamu was slightly irritated over the loss of such an easy lunch, but he shrugged his shoulders and sat down on his haunches. His tail tip flicked lightly back and forth as he watched where the hare had darted. Off in the distance he could occasionally see the twitching of grass here and there as it wove its way through the Savannah.
With a huff the male turned and wiggled his hips lightly in preparation to jump back onto his low hanging branch. Shimmy shimmy, wiggle wiggle, judge the distance. Then, all of a sudden he stopped, his eyes turning to the side from the direction the hare had originally come. There, through the grasses was a tawny cub.
Bamu blinked once, then twice and swallowed the pain he felt at seeing a cub. The same pain that always crept up and slapped him upside the head. The cheeta he had loved, and given his heart too had left him while laden with his cubs. Promising he would never see them.
Bringing his attention back to the present he cleared his throat a little bit and sat back. "You know, you're but a little thing and someone might gobble you up out here."

Sikio cringed at the voice, he was shy, and wasnt sure if he should retreat, or talk back. "Umm...well, usually im pretty sneaky..." he stood up from his low crouch, sitting back on his kaboose. He looked at the leopard. was he...threatening him? he shook his head, why would he? He was most likely warning him. But Sikio still couldnt quite shake the fact that he was perhaps in danger...
No. he wasnt. the male leopard would likely not have said anything if Sikio was in danger. He shook the thoughts from his head. He needed to stop being so shy and scared. He was actually suprised he was spotted, since he had blended with the grass nicely. Perhaps it was the hare? Sikio didnt know, neither did he care much.

Bamu couldnt help but give a small laugh at the cubs innocent reply. Sure he might normally be fairly sneaky, but even the most stealthy predator can be occasionally seen. "True as that may be, you cant always rely on being sneaky. Sometimes, conditions are just right and you'll be seen."
Bamu lowered his head a little bit and peered at the cub hiding in the grass, his fur did blend in fairly well, and only now he could really just make out parts of the cub. If he learned how to hone those talents, he could be quite the little hunter one day. Or a spy, or sentry, or really anything that required such a skill. "Can hardly see you now, At first I thought you where another hare."

Sikio giggled a bit. "well, im about the same size as a hare, i guess." he walked closer to the large leopard. He was so big and strong compared to sikio, even if he wasnt right next to him, Sikio could still tell he was probably very fast and such.
"so...were are you headed?" alright, usually Sikio wasnt that curious about everything, he kind of liked to stay out of being the center of attention, but it was inevitable that he was curious about this starnger, becuase he really hadnt met anyone outside of family, he hardly spent much time with family, because he liked being on his own, or with one feline.

The leopard looked down at the cub and stretched out some to lay on his stomach so he was more on level with the smaller feline. He tilted his head a little bit and cave a wry smirk as he compared himself to the size of the hare. "Yeah, not much bigger than one, but you certainly gave that hare a start. His rustling through the grass is what woke me up."
Bamu gave pause as the cub asked him about where he was going, that was always slightly tricky to answer, simply because he didnt have much of an answer for it. "Oh here and there, really where ever I want to go. Im happy so long as there is food and a watering hole near by."

Sikio nodded slowly as the leopard told him where he always headed. "i see...that will probably be me one day, unless my parents decide to find a pride for all of us one day." Shariea REALLY SHORT, i had no muse sweatdrop

Bamu eyed the small cub and gave a small chuckle. "Well is there anything wrong with that. I mean, yes out here in the rogue lands things are a smidgen more dangerous, and you have to keep on your toes for the most part. But." He paused allowing the cub to consider the dangers he and his family went through on a daily basis, or how things would be different in pride life. "You dont have anyone to answer to but yourself. Or in this case your mother and father. In a pride, there is some form of pecking order. Who can eat when, status! Power struggles, lion against lion, leopard against leopard. I'd rather stay out here where I know who I can fully trust and who I cant."
Yes, perhaps he was a bit jaded when it came to prides. Since his one and only love had basicly used him and ran back to her pride with his cubs he certainly had reason to be. His expression went from a bit brooding and slowly softened as he looked back at the cub, not wishing to startle him or fill his head with his jaded anger and views of the world.
"Not to say, that there isnt anything bad out here either. Frankly, the key is just being observant. And not to talk to strangers." at that he winked at the cub and gave a small chuckle.

Sikio leaned into the leopard as he told him these things about prides and being a rouge. He sighed about having over protective parents, he just wanted to not have eyes on him all the time. "Yeah, i guess i shouldnt talk to strangers...but you seem okay!" He actually really liked this leopard, yet if he was to get to know him any better, he guessed it was time they introduced themselves. "i never told you my name...Its sikio."

*Bamu chuckled a little bit and dipped his head to look a bit more eye to eye to the cub.* I seem okay, doesnt mean I couldnt just snap and try and eatcha. *he laughed and sat back again, his tail curling around his paws* Nice to meet you Sikio, Im Bamu.
*The leopard glanced around, wondering just how far away the cub had wandered from his parents.* You didnt manage to get yourself lost did you? *he cast a wary eye on the cub*

He giggled a bit, he never got lost. "Nope, im not lost, i almost always know where im going, im pretty clever" he then thought about his parents, he had hoped they didnt notice he was gone. that would NOT be good for him.
He wondered if he should go back...but he didnt want to. not yet. he wasnt ready to go back home just yet. It was peaceful, besides Bamu, but even talking to him it was peaceful without all his family in the way

*Bamu smirked a little bit and laid down in the grass at the base of the tree he had been napping in, his lazy habbits coming back now that the chase for the rabbit was long over.* Mm, well just because you are clever doesnt mean that you cant be caught. A little caution now and then might do you good." he said with a bit of a glance towards the cub, but that same playful smirk resting on his face.
The tip of his tail gave a twitch as he lounged in the grass. "So. Have you ran into any other cubs besides your siblings in your travels?" he asked, a some what weighted question. If only because cubs where a slightly touchy subject for him, and his own children where long grown by now, still... one wondered in these lands how many families where wandering about.

Sikio thought long and hard. had he met any other young felines like him? He hadnt, but perhaps this leopard had cubs wandering around, maybe. "Hmm, now that i think about it, i havent seen any other cubs...i actually think you are the only stranger i have ran into" He wanted to meet new friends though. It seemed to him that his siblings never wanted to play with him, Sikio had always had to find his own thing to do.
"I really wish i have met other cubs though..." He had managed to blurt this out loud, he hoped Bamu wouldnt think bad of his family, seeing as that could be an easily made judgement, but Sikio had thought Bamu better then that.
