The night air was chilly, not unusual for this time of the year, but not all that ideal for the kind of clothing Rhiannon liked to wear. Her short skirts and high heels did nothing but threaten frost bite, so she was left with the next best thing — she senshi fuku.
It was a bit more modest than what she was used to, although she didn’t consider her wardrobe to be distasteful. Even still, the long sleeves and cascading layers (and magical power) provided enough warmth in the cold weather.
Varuna hardly thought herself to be adept in knowing how to patrol for things that put the city in danger, so she was always on the lookout for muggers or other such felons when youma weren’t available to beat on. She kept herself as far away from the Negaverse and all those connected to Chaos, though, having learned her lesson after a run in with Benitoite.
Even still, it didn’t deter her from going out in search of ways to flex her powers and help out innocent civilians where she could.
But tonight, instead of the feeling of something dark and dangerous lurking in the shadows, there was something warmer and more welcoming. A familiar aura, although she couldn’t pinpoint just who they were. Still, the senshi of Avalanches drew closer to where she felt the other powered being, knowing they were a knight, and one of her own level of power.

Winterlynn had been heading home, from a late night trip for groceries a few blocks from her home, which was why she didn't use any means of transportation aside from her feet. It had gotten colder between the time when she'd gone into the store and when she left it. That in mind, plus how late it was, Winterlynn had decided to duck into an alley way and setting her bags down she powered up. Warmer, significantly so, she felt safer as she gathered up her bags and decided to head back down the sidewalk toward home.
She knew she had to watch with civilians, she didn't need to be seen and have some witch hunt or something happen, but she also knew it was late and the chances were slim to none. She didn't live in an area where people were up and around the streets at all odd hours, unless you counted the man three buildings from hers who had a pregnant wife with cravings.
The bags rustled as only plastic bags could as she made her way down the sidewalk, the bags swinging gently at her side as they dangled from her arms and were gripped in her hands. A trip around the corner for ice cream had turned into her picking up several other things she was low on/out of and had been planning to get tomorrow. She'd figured she might as well get the shopping done now, even if it kept her from the movie she'd had to turn off when she'd left her apartment for ice cream.
As Delphi headed home she could feel a warmth, something comforting, headed her way. Whoever it was she hoped they didn't keep her from her home - at least not too long. She didn't need the ice cream melting or to drag out some conversation on the sidewalk just buildings away from her own. But she would wait for whoever was coming.

No, Varuna wouldn’t keep her from going home, and she had little use for talking. Sometimes it was just the company she liked, as long as it seemed as though she was wanted there, as well.
She didn’t smile when she saw the knight, but she did feel a sense of relief, glad that it was someone she was familiar with, as well as someone she thought of fondly.
Placing her hands behind her back and her eyes down, Varuna altered her course so she could wait for Delphi to make it closer to her location before continuing in the same direction she seemed to be headed.
It was curious how two powered young women were just walking down the sidewalk together, not really worried about the appearance of civilians at that time of night. But it wasn’t bad, either. Why couldn’t they just walk around as they needed, however they needed to do it?Sleet Tempest Snape Holy cow, I’m so sorry for the wait. ;;

Surprised by the familiar senshi the dark haired woman smiled at her gently. "Your having a good night?" She asked, wanting to make sure, even though the other seemed well enough. One simply never knew and she did hope the other was well.
"I'm going to duck into an alley near by and power down, if you care to do the same. You can come in from the cold and warm up for a little while. We can talk, if your like, and I can make you something warm to drink." An offer of kindness to one who must be cold in this weather, she knew she would be. It wasn't winter yet and she could only imagine how cold winter would be when it came, she would certainly be offering the other warmth when winter came.
"Unless of course you're busy."

Varuna said nothing in response, but instead nodded her head once, her eyes still on the ground in front of her. She didn’t see the point in wasting breath to say yes or no, and as she had no reason or desire to expand upon either answer, she kept the gesture simple.
But the next thing said had her pausing in surprise, and while she made no movement to express the sudden insecurity she had, the widening of her eyes and stiffening of her shoulders might have been seen if anyone was paying attention. She didn’t shake her head or reject the offer… yet… but instead slowly raised her head to look at the young woman she was walking with. For someone to offer that, showing one their identity, so willing and freely… it had her hesitating and while she would like to trust Delphi, she was just… so unsure…
But… this wasn’t the same as anyone else. She had already seen who Delphi was. She had been there when she first powered up and would be able to recognize her on the street should their paths ever cross. She didn’t say anything, but continued following her as they went, not yet deciding what she would do.

The other silent...so silent. It almost had Delphi second guessing herself, doubting her offer, and whether the other liked her in any manner. She could feel her usual lack of trust in people raising it's ugly head, she was trying here though, as the other remained silent as they walked.
She was trying to trust though, to acknowledge that she needed to work on trusting people and letting them in, and she just worried now that she had made the wrong choice. Shaking the thoughts away she smiled at the other.
"It's not far, a short walk." Even though she'd seen people move across roof tops with such ease that she suspected even a long walk could be traversed quickly, and thus made a short walk/run.
"You've been safe, and well, since we last met?" He asked, interest and concern coloring her words. She did hope the other had been well, the other had helped her a lot as had that knight, and she hoped both had been doing well since that night.(God, so sorry for how long it's been.)
