Pirata had spent a great deal of time plotting her next move in the dance that Ironforge and his silly little group had started, the edge of her anger had not begun to dull in the lightest and the planning of her revenge had taken up a great deal of her time.
She had however struck upon a small plan that would make her planning all that much easier...it would be far easier to set traps for the do-gooder group if she had more of an idea of what they were doing..she had considered sending some of the condors she had recently made a deal with to keep an eye on them..but there was only some much information one could get from a mere observer and her relationship with the condors was still too new for her to trust completely.
No..she needed someone inside the camp. Someone that the other group had never seen, someone that did not look the part so to speak and after a great deal of musing one name had quickly risen to the top of the list. She-ra had recruited the stallion some time ago and his pale soft coloring could hardly be called imposing. Kolli had been a loyal member in the herd since his recruitment and so it was high time that she give him the chance to really prove himself. With that thought in mind she had summoned him to her ledge so that they might speak in private.

He couldn't remember the last time he had received a summons from Pirata. Actually, he couldn't remember having ever received one from her at all. Curious as to what she wanted, he made his way to the ledge as he had been instructed. It felt as if it had been an eternity since the day She-Ra had brought him to meet Pirata and he had been taken into her service. Yet even though it had felt as if it had been so long ago, it still only seemed like yesterday. Funny how time worked. As Kolli approached the mare, he stopped and cleared his throat. "Mistress." He spoke as he took a bow. He still wasn't sure what the formalities were, but with someone like Pirata Noctis, you didn't take any chances.

Pirata flicked an ear as the sound of hoofbeats brought the arrival of Kolli to her attention even before he spoke, turning to face the pale coated stallion she gazed at him unnervingly for a few moment, pausing before she spoke to consult herself once more. Was he the right choice? Did he look the part?
"What do you think my pets?" She whispered to her spiders. "Do you think he can handle it?" The last part was spoken just a bit louder so that Kolli might hear, her multi eyes blinking as she eyed the stallion before her with almost a challenge in her look. Would he assure her he could handle anything? Would he remain silent? IT was always so interesting to see the path those before her chose to take. The spiders drummed their legs upon her hide as though in response to her question although it was hard to tell if that response was favorable or not.

He remained silent as the mare stared at him with her many eyes. Kolli did find her eyes unnerving, but he refused to show any signs of weakness. His parents had never tolerated it. While the silence was indeed awkward for him, he wasn't entirely sure he should speak. Sure she had voiced a question, but it had not been voiced directly to him and therefor he did not answer.
The stallion was quite sure that his mistress did not need any input from him on the matter. Nor would assuring her help his case, especially when he had no idea what it was that she wanted from him. On the contrary, only someone who was inept would defend themselves in this sort of situation. Kolli did not need to hide behind words. If his mistress deemed him appropriate for the task, he would be sure to complete it to the best of his abilities. If she did not, well, likely she wouldn't have summoned him.

"Yes my dears" Pirata remarked, seemingly in response to her spiders. "I expect you are right and we shall just have to see how her performs to know this answer.." Turning her head she nuzzled her excitable pets until the creatures calmed before turning her imposing gaze back on the stallion before her..and formally addressing him for the first time.
"Kolli..I am told that you have served the herd well since you joined and as such I feel it is time to give you a mission of rather more importance. You may not like this mission but I assure you that it is very necessary in order to achieve our dominance of this region. You have heard of the stallion Ironforge and his little group of Knight?" She questioned, pausing to await his reply.
While Pirata herself had not given the herd any information on the group of knights she knew that rumors and gossip about them had almost surely spread among her minions - especially with the disappearance of her son Agave. Wretched traitor..she would deal with him next. The death of her spider much be avenged first and from the details She-ra had given her of Agave's final fight before his escape it was unlikely the traitor stallion would be much of a threat for some time.

Apparently remaining silent had been the correct answer. Or perhaps Pirata hadn't cared in the slightest how he would react and it hadn't matter a bit at all.
'At last' He thought as his mistress spoke. He had done odd tasks here and there for the herd but up until now he hadn't been allowed any larger missions. Although he wasn't sure whey he wouldn't like the mission she was about to give him, he really didn't have any issues doing much of anything at all.
"I have heard... rumors. But nothing concrete." He answered his mistress. Mostly he had only heard Ironforge's name and mention of his group. There was also another one going around about a fight, but he dare not mention that to his mistress.

"I see." Pirata replied as she took a moment to mull over her own thoughts before continuing. Moving towards him she slunk around him, eyeing him from every angle..even nosing him here and there as though to test his sturdy looks. "Well you shall soon get to know them very well my pale friend. Very well indeed." She finally stated as she came back to the front of him. A tinkle of laughter escaped her maw - all the more creepy for the innocent sound of it.
"There is within this group of Knights a young mare..she is new to their ranks, naive...and still in training. She is their weak link and I mean for you to break it. Slowly...cruelly and in the process glen from this group a great deal of information. I want you to go to this mare and win her trust..her heart if you must do so. Ensnare yourself within the inner working of this group..walk like them, act like them..spout off all their silly morals as though you truly believe them..but don't ever forget where you truly belong. You will report to me your findings by way of condor messengers just as I shall send you orders in the same manner. You will be integral to the destruction of this group Kolli, a true player in the lands destiny...if you accept..? " She phrased the last like a question, as though she were giving him a choice in this mission. They both knew the likely outcome if he choose to decline it.

Kolli stood silently as his mistress examined him quite thoroughly. He knew it was all a part of the process and didn't dare protest even if it was a little odd. He'd be getting to know them? It seemed like an odd request until she explained herself further. The stallion couldn't think of any reason he wouldn't like this mission. It would give him a chance to truly prove himself and to be honest it actually sounded a little fun. Though of course he didn't dare tell her that.
"Of course my mistress." He gave a little bow of his head as he spoke. Although he knew that he had little choice in the matter, it had still been appropriate to answer he question. "How will I know this mare? And how do I find this herd?" He had almost asked how to infiltrate it as well, but suspected he would have to figure that one out on his own. Besides, that wouldn't be all that difficult from what he had heard of the group. All that he really needed was a good cover story, some make believe history that the fools would believe. Already his mind was whirling and filling with thoughts on how to manipulate them into accepting him.

Pirata gave the stallion before her a knowing smile as he answered. He was a smart stallion this Kolli and while not all stallions would be amendable to being ordered to run off and possibly woo a mare, this one had breached no complaint and that Pirata found pleasing. It was important that her minions be willing to do anything for the cause.
"You will not find her hard to recognize I think." Pirata answered the entirely sensible question, recalling the alicorn mare to mind. "Her hide is much the same shade as your own although her mane sports shades of pink rather then black. She is an alicorn with pink wings, her consorts are an obnoxiously colored rainbow steed and the shaggy brute who acts as their leader - Ironforge himself." Confident that she had given Kolli enough of a description to go on she turned her attention to his second question.
"To find the herd should not be too difficult either - Although I do not have its exact location we know that it is in the woods to the south, a day or two's distance from the mountain. The group is well known enough that even a small questioning of the locals once you reach the woodlands should be enough for you to find them swiftly. I will send a condor with you when you leave so that you might report back the location once it is found."

It didn't sound as if it would be too difficult for him to find the herd then. That was certainly good. Kolli hated long trips but it sounded as if the journey wouldn't take too long at all. Actually, it was very likely to give him just the amount of time to come up with that back story that he needed along the way.
"As my mistress commands." He gave her a bow in acknowledgment. Kolli had a feeling that Pirata might be done with him, but he didn't dare leave until she dismissed him. As soon as she did, he would head for this herd and try to make his way into it as well as he could. For someone like him it shouldn't be a problem. He knew his coloring was fair and had always made him less formidable. However, it was certainly going to be an advantage for him now.

"If you have no other questions then you may leave whenever you are ready." Pirata told the stallion "I will have Farsight the condor follow you at a discreet distance."
Turning as though to leave and dismiss him entirely she paused after a few strides and looked back to the stallion. "These Soquili will likely fill your head with a great deal of honorable mantras...do not let them fool you into believing them, they speak of strength but they are weak and you will help prove it once and for all." She encouraged him, hoping that by instilling within in a desire for an achievement as grand as this he would stick to the true path and not be tempted by the lies spouted by her enemies. "Farewell Kolli..I shall see you when this is over."

As if he could be swayed by 'honorable mantras'. How honorable had his mother been to sell his basket? How honorable had she been to actually follow through with it? He would never have survived his childhood by being 'honorable' nor would he survive this herd by being so. No, honor held nothing for him. Only deceit and manipulation held any true use for him now.
With another bow of his head, Kolli left to start on his journey.
