Hooves crunched on the half frozen grass,she hoped it was going to be then end of winter soon.She liked this time of year but eventually it got old after so long.Aella remembered her first snow fall,I was the most entertaining thing in the world. Trying to eat icicles and trying not to fall around in the slippery snow.There was one thing she didn't do was play around near the bodies of water when they were frozen over. She heard too many bad stories about things like that happening.That was one of her many fears,falling into frozen waters.It would probably be hard for anyone to try to save you.

Shaking the worry out of her head she moved on around the small mountains near the edge of the forest.It was a really long time since she was away from home,it felt nice to get away. Her father wasn't around very much since her mother disappeared. Aella hadn't heard about her or from her since she had them. Her siblings either,which was sort of depressing because you're suppose to keep in contact with family....right?

"Don't worry guys I'll soon have you upright once more." Cinis said resting her front hooves on the trunk of a tree that was starting to bend with the weight of the heavy slow fall. Gently she began to push rocking the tree so the snow began to fall off without violently damaging the branches or snapping the trunk.
Contrary to popular belief the work of a forest guardian was far from over when the snow fell . . .well for the actually dedicated ones anyway. Cinis for example had been at this chore all day.
Looking over her shoulder by chance she happened to see a purple wind mare wondering about as if she had nothing to do anyway.
"hey!! Hey you over there!" Cinis called out loudly as she continued to rock the tree. "wana lend a hoof?"

Aella's ears caught the voice,she looked over to the way it was coming from."Me?"She blinked a few times as she noticed a mare shaking snow off the trees.That seemed a little weird to her that this mare was shaking snow off the trees,but maybe she was friends with them."Sure! If you're talking to me!" Aella happily hovered over towards her."Why are you shaking the snow from the branches,wonder if it snows all over again?"She was merely just curious,she hoped that the other wouldn't be offended.
Looking at her unique markings,Aella wandered over.They were a bird covering her with white accents near her eyes and tail.Why wasn't Aela that interesting...?She sighed in her head and was ready to help however she could.

Cinis laughed heartily.
"That's like asking why not to disturb blankets of frost or why it's important to start planting new saplings right away in burned out areas." she replied as she finished rocking one tree and moved to the next. Such things were second nature to her and she sometimes forgot that not everyone knew as much about how nature worked as she did. Realizing her error she gave a cough and smiled apologetically.
"What I mean is see how the snow its so heavy on these younger trees that it makes them bend a little at the top?" she asked pointing up with her nose "Well the snow if it builds up can bend these young trees so much that they break. That causes the tree to die. The dead tree dries out in the weather at a rapid pace and causes a fire hazard." Cinis pointed then to a tree near the one she was standing next to and took up position with her front hooves against the trunk as she continued to explain. "Normally forest fires are a healthy and natural thing but as you can see by the scorch marks on that much older tree over there, this section of forest is still relatively young so a forest fire would do more harm than good. Now just put your hooves here like i have done and then gently push the tree will start to sway as a few nudges. Be careful not to damage the bark with your hooves or shake to hard that could cause it to snap as well which would be counterproductive."
Finished with her explanation she looked the mare over. She was such a lovely shade of lavender like a lady slipper bloom or a new iris bud. Feeling as if she had looked to long by accident she quickly averted her eyes back to the task at hand.
After all Not many females were appreciative of a mare looking at them like a stallion did Cinis had found out the hard way.

Aella blinked a couple times as the mare started to explain.There was so much to learn about the trees."I wouldn't have ever known."Aella was surprised that the mare cared so much about the trees,then again they were one source of shelter in the world.Which was a plus if you were trying to hide from predators."Oh..That's just mean!" Huffing softly as she stared up at the snow on the trees branches."But wonder if we don't get to them all in time?!They'll be hurt!"She became concerned the more the mare talked about forest fires and trees breaking from the snow.

Nodding slowly she agreed to help and listened about how she could.Aella wandered over to a near by tree and put her hooves on the side of the tree carefully.Pushing her legs just a little bit she tried to make the branches wiggle.As she did that the snow started to fall off the branches.Now she had small coat of snow upon her back and muzzle.While working,she noticed the gaze of the mare. Aella wondered how long she was staring.She blushed just a little bit and tried not to gaze back at her.Aella herself was attracted to both males and females,it didn't really bother her too much that others would take a gander at her.

She moved on to work on some other trees as she started to ask some questions."What got you into saving trees?"She was curious about this mare and what else she did.Maybe she could make a new friend,it seemed they both liked to look at other mares.She hoped the other mare didn't see her watching her as well."I'm Aella,Who might you be?"
