XXXXXXXXXXThe Meeting Chess: *Had been walking aimlessly for hours now, not really paying attention to where she was going when she found herself in a somewhat shadier part of town. Though she doesn't seem to notice her fairy has and he seems a touch worried tucked down against her hair wings fluttering softly as he glows dimly.*
Moral: Watch out. *Whispered softly from atop her head.*
Eevie: -Growls at the males making rude gestures toward her.- Really? -Sighing, she rolls her eyes and grabs the male's hand before he touches her a**.- I really don't think so. -She then proceeds to push him out the window of the large bar she was in.- Dumbass. -She then plops back down on her seat to take a drink, eying another male who was looking at her.- Don't even think about it or you're next. -Threatens over the top of her mug.-
Moral: WATCH OUT! *Suddenly up and fluttering around*
Chess: *Hadn't been paying attention until Moral had screeched making her lift her head just in time to duck out of the way of the male that came through the window making her wings flutter in agitation.* Hey! D< Watch where you are going! *Agitated growl as she steps over him and into the bar through the window.* Ugh, how disgraceful. *Turns her nose up as she prances towards the bar.* Water if you please. *Nose still in air.* Moral: ... leave? *Flutters quietly around Chess' head.*
Eevie: -Taking back a sip, her eyes wandered over the rim of her glass when she saw the female enter. Keeping an eye on her, she pretended to not notice until the woman reached the bar. She noticed the barman grunt at the female when she ordered water before shoving a glass toward her that looked less than filtered.- ...New here? I really wouldn't drink that. -She offered, figuring the girl really didn't need the help anyhow, anyone would be crazy to drink that water.-
Chess: *Looks at the glass before her head cants towards the new voice.* I am, actually. I've never been in this part of town... now I remember why. *Wrinkles her nose at the glass.* I would sooner drink from a stream than drink this garbage. *Huffs* Can't be bothered to worry about the health of his patrons I suppose.
Eevie: -Chuckles a bit and leans back on her stool, her glass now in her hand.- Well, there are some gems about this side of town, but this bar definitely isn't one of them! -Sees the bartender glare at her and mumble some sort of nonsense about this being the best bar in town.- If you'd like a nice drink, I might suggest some other place.
Chess: *Looks her over.* You frequent this side I take it? *Pushes the glass away and turns to look at the other.* Where might you suggest? Since I am going to trust in you and assume you wouldn't lead me astray.
Eevie: Well, I do on occasion, its the closest place to get a drink when coming back from the pier, and they don't ask a lot of questions. -Hops down from her stool, her lips turn to a smirk.- Well, I don't have any sort of nefarious plans, if that's what you mean. But if its all the same, I can lead and you can follow as long as you like. -Drops some coins on the counter to pay for her drink before she motions out the door.-
Chess: *Eyes her up and down.* Don't ask a lot of questions eh? So I take it you aren't some upstanding lady then? *Slides off her stool and doesn't even bother paying for the cup of water that was so unsanitary it would have killed her.* No nefarious plans? Hmm we will just have to see about that. *Said with a smile as she walks after her.* So oh random lady, do you have a name?
Eevie: -Can't help but laugh at her comment.- Upstanding is in the eye of the beholder. Though I can say that I am neither evil nor righteous. -Tips her hat down, one eye peering over the rim.- My name is Eevie, what is yours, Lass?
Moral: *Zooms around Eevie's head inspecting her.* Eevie! Chess: *Laughs and shakes her head.* Alright, I can roll with it for now. For tonight you are my hero, saving me from such a dreaded fate as having to drink that horrific water. *Shakes her head.* Well Eevie, it is a pleasure to meet you. *Inclines her head.* Chess, or if you prefer full names, Chess Lumina Code, and that is Moral. *Points to the fairy that is currently poking at the feather in Eevie's hat.*
Eevie: Ah, a pleasure to meet you Chess Lumina Code, and you too Moral. -Lifts her hat when spotting the fairy. It wasn't long after that a little furball of a creature wound itself up Eevie to try to paw at the flying light. Chuckling a bit,- And that is Bandit. -She stated.- Neither of us have such fancy names, but we make do. -Can't help but flush a little at the saving part, but she doesn't let it show as she continues down the road.- Just keep your eye out and make sure no one follows us and we should be safe. -Tilts her head behind her to indicate.-
Chess: Your names are just fine. Mother just went over the top with my name. *Smiles up at Bandit.* Well isn't he? adorable. Much cuter than Moral. *Said teasingly towards her fairy.* Who would follow us? *Quirks a brow before looking over her shoulder.* ... Why would they follow us? Moral: *Flutters around Bandit*
Eevie: Long names are nice though. I come from a huge family, but my parents weren't too big on names it seems. -Picks Bandit up and puts him on her shoulder. She sees him blush from the compliment and she giggles.- He's definitely adorable. -Pets him under his chin.- But your fairy is very pretty. His light is kind of enchanting. -Glances about and muses.- Well.. as you said... this isn't the good part of town... And the males here... tend to try to prey on females... -Frowns slightly.- But you should be safe with me here, most of them know not to mess with me.
Chess: My family isn't overly large and most of them have short names. I suppose they just wanted something long for us. My brother has a long name as well. Perhaps you can give your own children long names. *Smiles* Moral is if nothing else a guiding light. *Holds out her hand for him to land in before she looks disgusted.* Really, that is disgusting... this is why I hate men. Not that I am overly fond of the thought of love currently but I really do loathe men.
Eevie: Perhaps I will... If I ever have kids. Its not really easy to find love or have children with my kind of lifestyle. -Smirks a little as she continues to walk.- Well, he's definitely pretty. -Hears Bandit make a sound at her compliment of the fairy and she chuckles.- Aye, same here.. honestly. Not all that found of them, but they do make a good crew when they're properly modivated.
Chess: And just what lifestyle is it that you lead Miss Eevie? *Asked curiously as she twists around to look behind them once more.* A crew... are you the leader of something? *Asked curiously* A navy captin perhaps? *Smiles* You know what I have always wanted? An adventure, my brother always found it silly, but his lover is from space. I have always wanted to go there, silly right? How would I ever survive in space, but it seems like something that would just allow you to get away from people. Perhaps he had no interest because he didn't have wings. *She gave a shrug* Forgive me, the thought of the open ocean lead me to adventuring lead me to space. *Waves a hand.*
Eevie: -As she listened to her talk she couldn't help but feel her lips turn to a grin.- An adventure? I could most definitely help you there. -Sweeps some hair from her eyes when she turns to look at her.- I'm a pirate, if that's not obvious from my clothing. I command a ship, it was something that my brother and I always dreamed of... until he died. I've continued to take it up, for his sake. -Thinks for a moment, a smile on her face.- And I may not look it, but one of my mothers was an Alien Princess. And my other mother... a pirate like me. She had a grand ship that sailed the skies, which is how she met my mother and they ran away together. I guess you could say there is a part of me that is still hoping to find a woman that I could sail the skies with myself. -Turns back to the road and starts walking again.- Perhaps... someday.. -Begins whistling a soft tune.-
Chess: *Blinks at her and listens to the story she was told with intense interest.* You... are a pirate princess? *Seems shocked by this.* That is amazing! You sail the stars? Your whole life has been an adventure! *Moves forward to walk beside her before she suddenly goes somber.* I'm... sorry to hear about your brother. I couldn't imagine my brother dying, it must have been hard. I thought I had faced hardships, but I have never had to deal with something like that. *Reaches out a hand and places it on her arm.* I'm sorry. *Small soft smile.* So you could show me an adventure?
Eevie: -At that thought she turns a little rigged for a moment, her voice quiet.- More than my brother.. I lost my mother.. and two other brothers... And other family... -Her lips thin, but she refuses to cry. Turning to look at her, she lets the dark thoughts leave.- But yes, I sail both the skies and the water. And if you'd like to come I would love to have another female aboard, you'd just have to watch out for the males. -She smiles softly at her when she touches her.- Its okay, its in the past now, regardless, I can't let it effect me.
Chess: *Seems striken by this information. She can't imagine losing so many people close to her.* I know it is the past but it is still sad. *Moves to stand in front of her.* If you would let me come along, I would love to. I will watch out for the males, or you could watch out for me. *Leans up and kisses her on the cheek real quick.* Thank you for this, I would of course have to talk to my family first.
Eevie: Its... -Lets out a sigh.- I guess a part of it is something to expect from this kind of life. Which is part of the reason I haven't tried to settle down yet. Its not something I want to put on someone else. -Her cheeks flushed furiously at the kiss, her eyes searching the other females.- Of course I would look out for you, I wouldn't be a very good captain if I didn't. -Nods at her statement.- Of course. If you need to find me you could always look for my ship out at the pier. -Points toward a large ship in the distance.- That one is mine. Its called The Maiden Voyage. Just find me after you talk to your family. If its in the Harbor than so am I.
Chess: You just need a lady that can take care of herself and is strong enough to handle it! *Smiles at her before giggling and then looking out towards the water.* I see, she is... a beautiful ship. *Smiles up at her.* I will talk to them tonight when I go home, but first, you still owe me a drink remember?

XXXXXXXXXXLeaving the Harbor Chess: *Had thought about it a lot, a whole lot and after a long talk with her parents she had set off in search of Eevie's ship. She was going to sail, she had decided, a true adventure. The other female had made it sound delightful and she needed to just get away and what better way to get away then to leave on a ship? She was now walking along the docking area trying to find the ship that she had been directed to before but she was having a touch of trouble finding it.*
Eevie: -It had been a long night and a rather dangerous one. Before pulling into the harbor, she had lost three men that night to a thunderstorm. The thunderstorm had been three times the size that they originally thought and it tossed the ship back and forth rapidly. She was lucky she hadn't lost more. Sadly though, the ship needed repaired and she needed to find more crew if she expected to get back to the skies at any point. However, it meant time, which meant she was grounded for a while.-
Chess: *She wandered along the docks asking around for Eevie's ship and was lucky enough to have someone direct her to where it was being fixed. She glanced up at the large wooden creation before slowly walking up towards it.* HELLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!? EEEEEEEEEEEVIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE?!
Eevie: -Hearing her name, Eevie's head twisted around to get a better look at who was calling her. She could hardly believe her eyes.- CHESS! -A small hint of glee entered her voice. Grabbing a robe, she propelled her way down toward the docks to get there more quickly.- Glad to see you! -Her smile was rather large.- I wasn't sure I would see you again!
Chess: *She smiled at seeing the other and the grin that spread across her face.* Yeah, I was kinda worried you guys would leave without me. *Leans over and hugs her lightly.* I'm here though and I'm ready to go captain, if you'll have me that is. Though I admittedly know nothing about ships but I'll try to pull my weight, if you'll let me. *Winks*
Eevie: -Gratefully returns the hug- Well, sadly, the ship took some... hard hits last time we were out. I'm not sure its ready to fly quite yet. -She scratches the back of her head.- I had wished it would be ready today, but it looks like there was more damage than I thought. -Shooting her a grin.- Though I have no doubt you'll be a valuable asset. -She winked, biting her lip a little with a chuckle.- I don't think we'll be able to go yet though, I want to make sure the ship is in good shape before putting more lives on the line.
Chess: *Blinks and pouts slightly.* Yikes, you're ok though right? Not hurt or anything? *Looks up at the ship.* It's alright, I completely understand. Where are you staying? On the ship while she is fixed or? *Hangs her head* It's clear I know nothing about ships... BUT I have wings *Flutters them.* so don't have to worry about me falling off at least. And I'm a quick study so I'm sure I will be valuable eventually. *Looks over at her.* Would it be ok if you gave me just a quick tour of the ship or would that be dangerous?
Eevie: -Nods- I'm fine. We lost a couple of crewmen though. -She mumbles to herself.- So... much to my... disapproval... my mother has decided to join us... Along with a new female recruit that I hired. -She added with less pain than she did the part about her mother.- So, we won't be the only females aboard. -Offers a smile.- Just... stay clear of my mother, and you should be okay. -I hope. She added to herself but didn't voice it aloud. Thinking for a moment, she slowly nodded.- Sure, I can give you a tour. However, the cabins are part of what has been damaged, so I would normally stay aboard the ship, but I had to get a room in the Inn.
Chess: *Winces* I'm sorry, I know that must be hard. *Looks up at her and bilinks for a moment.* Well it's good that we won't be the only girls on board. *Blinks against before nodding.* Alright, I'll try to stay clear of her. Should I be worried? Is she gonna throw me overboard? *Laughs a bit* Don't worry, I can take care of myself... mostly. *Looks at her.* Hey, why didn't you tell me. You could have stayed with me, and then you wouldn't have to waste money on a room. *Huffs at her*
Eevie: -Sighs drastically.- I'm... sorry... I guess that came out wrong... There is... nothing wrong with my mother... she's just... pushy... and when she sees something she wants... she goes for it... no questions asked. And she hates being told no. -Muses in thought.- She also expects excellence... so if she yells at you for not knowing your stuff, come to me and I'll straighten her out. -Softening her expression, she almost blinks at the statement. A wild blush came over her features and she looked away for a long moment.- I... you want me to stay with you?
Chess: *Blinks for a moment, because honestly it's going over her head a bit.* Well those aren't exactly bad things I suppose. I will just hide behind you if she won't leave me alone. I doubt that will be a problem though. I'm sure she will be great fun and we can be friends. *Smiles* She won't get excellence from me that's for sure. But maybe I can do enough to keep her happy. *Laughs before blinking at the blush on Eevie's cheeks.* Why wouldn't I? We are friends aren't we? I would rather you be with me then in some funky inn. After all my beds big enough for the two of us to share or you can have the couch if you prefer.
Eevie: -Cringes somewhat about the thought of Chess and Ra becoming "friends" and keeping her happy. Sure... that's exactly what her mother would want. And gah if her mother couldn't paste on more charm than Eevie could. Sighing at the thought, she formed a small smile at the rest of the statement. Her cheeks were almost fiery red at the thought of sharing a bed.- Of course we're friends.. -She bit her lip.- And it does sound like a very nice thought compared to the inn... -And, of course, for other reasons.-
Chess: *Smiles at her and shakes her head amused.* Well! Since we are friends I don't see the problem. It's not like you would ever hurt me. *Tail swishes.* So it's settled for the rest of the time you are stuck here you will be staying with me! My house isn't far from here, it's small and quaint but it's meant for only me so ya know. *Rolls her shoulders.* Come on, I'll help ya carry your stuff to my house. *Smiles at her.* Lead the way Cap!
Eevie: -With a small smile, she nodded and hopped up.- Well, the inn is this way.. and all my stuff is there. It isn't much, maybe a small trunkful or two of clothing and some tinkets. -She motioned with her head in the direction and took off down the boardwalk, looking to Chess to follow.-
Chess: That isn't bad at all. Compared to moving my brother which was dreadful, he has more crap than any one person needs. I'm surprised Tegu agreed to let him move in at all. *Shakes her head and prances after her.* I wasn't sure what I would need for this trip honestly. So you can help me pack when the time comes. As .... I don't know where I will be staying so... do I need like bed sheets? *Shakes her head* I must seem really silly to you.
Eevie: Really, just clothing and your own brush, tooth brush... things like that. I wouldn't worry about bed sheets... Don't get me wrong, it would probably make it nicer to have some extra.. but if you do bring any, make sure it isn't anything fancy.. Some of the guys have a tendency to pawn anything that could make them a buck or two. So I advise away from anything like that, or make sure you can always keep an eye on it. -Turns to look at her and smiles softly.- No, not really. Its better to be prepared than not at all. -Continues walking- Your brother... -Shakes head- Definitely wouldn't make it on a ship then. -Chuckles.-
Chess: *Blinks* That I can do... but really? They will take and pawn bedding? Seriously, no honor among thieves I suppose. I shall have to just whack them a good one. Teach em not to mess with me. I've got plain things, not many plain clothes but I do have plain bedding. So I will bring that, and figure something out with my clothes. *Laughs* This is true, I would hate to get there and end up naked. *Shakes her head.* Crypt? No he probably wouldn't. He is waaay to much of a sissy.
Eevie: -Nodded- Seriously. They even took mine before I set them straight. -Sighs and rolls her eyes.- But yes, I suggest making sure they know you won't put up with it. -Smirks at the thought, but tries to hide it from her.- That would be... inconvenient. -She grins.- But I would give them hell if they decided it was good to play those sort of pranks. -Her nose wrinkles.- Your brother.. -She pauses her statement, not sure how to go about it.- I had a brother who was more the girly type, but even he had his wits about him when it came to the sea. -Giving her shoulders up in a shrug, she rounded the corner.-
Chess: Wow, why would they... what made them... *Shakes her head.* I will make sure they know. I can be mean if needed. *Shakes her head even more.* It would be much more than inconvenient. I would be so cold and can you imagine how distracted the guys would get. *Winks* Crypt has never been a big fan of the sea or anything of the sort. Honestly if he needs to get somewhere he just floats on Tinkerling. *Shrugs* He's girly and full of himself but ya gotta love him. *Follows after her.*
Eevie: -Smirks at a little memory before looking off.- All my brothers were kind of girly except Pence.. -She chewed on her lip uncertainly.- And Glint... I... -There were actually tears in her eyes and she quickly wiped them away. Clearing her throat, she pasted on a fake smile.- Guys will be guys. -She wanted to comment more on the whole brother aspect but she wasn't sure she could without bursting into tears so she just let it go. Looking off, she spotted the Inn and made her way toward it. Upon entering, she made a motion past the bar and up the stairs toward her room.-
Chess: Ah. *Falls quiet as she can sense that something is wrong, something she said or did maybe. Eevie is sad and she isn't sure what happened.* That they will. *She followed quietly until they were in the room and once safely tucked in the room she moved and flung her arms around Eevie's neck.* I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I forgot about your brothers, and I'm really sorry Eevie. *Nuzzles against her.* Forgive me? *Pulls her head back slightly to look up at her. Looks completely apologetic.*
Eevie: -She was completely surprised by the hug and was knocked back slightly but managed to regain her balance. She returned the hug, burrying her face in Chess' neck.- I'm sorry.. -She whimpered a little, tears returning to her eyes.- Its just... When I think about them... its hard sometimes... Pence was my best friend... And Glint... my gods... My mothers trusted me to protect him... I told him I would protect him... And I didn't... I... -She was sobbing now.- He.. He died because of me... -Tears were flowing down her cheeks now onto Chess' fur.-
Chess: *Looks at her and shakes her head, running her hand through her hair to the best of her abilities.* Hey, it's ok. It's what I am here for, it's what friends are for. We are here to help each other and take away the pain when we can. *Kisses her temple.* No, you didn't do this. It wasn't your fault he died, it wasn't. You are a wonderful person, and it was just an accident. It wasn't something you could help. You can't blame yourself like that, they would want you to live. I know they would. *Pets her gently*
