Samril and Sparky were glad to be away from home. Though they'd had it a bit better the last day or so, Samril's mother, sister, and brother all continued to drop by repeatedly and bring more food (he had way too much already!) or to make sure he was okay and hadn't done more damage to his face.
So this long-planned trip to Serenia was very welcome! The two were headed to Amafel lake in hopes of finding a Peisio dragon to beat up and make them both feel better. Sparky was very eager to try out his new-found magical abilities and a Peisio would be perfect (as well as a piece of cake for two Kiandri).
"Much longer?" Sparky whined as they traveled through the forest to the lake.
Samril shook his head in response. They were getting close.

Grrel had just finished hunting and eating her kill. She finally managed to go hunting with out running into any stupid Ysali Dragons... She twisted her long neck and looked at her haunches and the healing scars upon them from her last few fights. Why did she always run into Dragons while hunting? Shaking her head, she stretched and then began to saunter towards the nearby lake to go for a swim them find a rock to sunbath on.
As she approached the lake, she caught the words of a familiar voice, the one of her possible kinsman. A young Drakein whining came from behind her.. oh how familiar that seemed to her.. she'd been bombarded by the young of her clan on her last visit home and they had complained like that to their mothers when being forced to go to bed. Smirking, Grrel arrogantly strutted back towards the voice and grandly appeared before the bonded Kiandri's. Her full stomach made her feel smug and complacent, all was well in the world and she was feeling generous.
"We meet again."

Samril spotted the movement first and was a bit startled to see glimpses of movement from a large Kiandri-colored creature. But then the trees cleared some and he could see it wasn't a dragon (which he figured since the Kiandri dragons were on Eowyn, but one could've gotten lost?) but instead it was the Kiandri Drakein they'd met recently.
Sparky cheered up as he spotted Grrel, his energy restored completely. "Hi!Hi!HI! We here to fight!" His tail swished happily at the thought. "I do magic!" He was definitely proud of himself for that new-found ability.
Samril grinned, then had to wince a bit. At least the pain wasn't a bad when he stretched the scars as it had been. His sister had said that eventually the pain would go away and it would just feel tight and different for a while until he adjusted to it. "He's excited to try a Peisio. Well, I am too. We haven't fought one before," Samril explained, risking the slight pain to talk without getting scolded for doing so. Ugh, enforced silence was the worst!

Grrel's self esteem to a huge hit. A Peisio?! She could barley beat a Ysali by herself... how where they so much stronger than her? Hmm, perhaps if she accompanied them she could get some tips on how to fight and perhaps see what they were doing to beat something so difficult... She looked down at Sparky with amusement at his short and random sentences that overflowed with excitement. "You should try to string your sentences along in a more orderly fashion. You're all over the place silly!" She smiled and nuzzled him. He might be enslaved, but his obvious excitement and happiness were hard to deny. This Dovaa apparently treated him just fine, otherwise Sparky wouldn't be this happy to be out with his bonded. As she turned to face the tall Dovaa, she couldn't help but snicker. The claw marks upon his face were obviously Drakein in origin... she'd made those same marks upon others in her time. The size and placement lead her to believe that it was perhaps Sparky who'd done them. If it'd been done by a full grown Drakein, the claw marks would be longer and farther apart.
"Nice scratches. Did little Sparky play too roughly with you?" She snickered again. Big tough Dovaa who could fight Peisio could get scratched by little Sparky.

Sparky churred in confusion at Grrel's statement, but perked up at the nuzzling. He heard the question and looked rather guilty. "Sparky not mean to..." He cheered up a bit as a wave of love and forgiveness flowed from his bonded.
Samril grinned. "Teaches me not to practice with him again." The grin slipped a little as the scars stretched, but the Dovaa chuckled and shook his head. "It could have been worse, I guess. We got a bit lucky."
Sparky crooned softly and butted his head against Samril's side. The Dovaa reached over and scratched at the Keindred's head, which made Sparky croon happily. "Come fight too? Fight is fun! Fun fun!"
Samril glanced up at Grrel and shrugged. "You're welcome to come if you want. I don't think a Peisio would have a chance against three Kiandri." He chuckled, thinking of how the three of them could take on most of his family at once. Clan advantage~

"Of course you'll get scratched, all those who play with keindreds do. I should know considering how many times I've looked after my clans children. Just be glad you don't have a tail for them to chew on." She sighed and though of how many times her cousins have used her tail as a chew toy and how their tiny teeth always found a way past her scales to cause small amounts of pain. Grrel cocked her head to the side as she considered the duo in front of her. Perhaps if she watched them she could learn how he had gotten so strong and perhaps pick up some ideas to use against dragons too... "I've just eaten so I might be a bit sluggish, but I will join you none the less." A grin pulled back her lips and showed her fangs, "Water just doesn't stand a chance against lightning. This should be entertaining at least."

Samril chuckled and nodded. "I suppose that is true. I have enough limbs for him to chomp on as is!" Not that Sparky had really ever chewed on him... much. His toes had been a favorite target when Sparky was a Keinling, but he seemed to have outgrown that at least. Which was good with how big his teeth were now!!!
Samril's grin widened at Grrel's comment about lightning and water. "No chance at all!" He gestured for Grrel and Sparky to follow along and headed toward the lake. Now... just to find them a poor little Peisio dragon to zap into dust!

Grrel grinned, her fangs showing briefly as she turned towards the lake and began to sauntering off towards the lake, her tail swishing back and forth.
The lake glittered through the trees in the distance. She paused right inside the trees, and lay along the ground, hiding her orange bulk behind a large thick bush. She gazed out alertly, her eyes following a dark shadow beneath the lakes surface. Either a very large creature or a dragon. Either of which was fine with Grrel. Her tail twitched as the dragon's head surfaced briefly to blow up a spray of water before submerging again.
"Target spotted," she hissed quietly.
