Arthur Shippuden
Ninjas. Why did it have to be ninjas? Arthur could have dealt with thugs and bikers, but Sub decided to pit him against ninjas. "They're just kids," Arthur tried to reassure himself on the way there. It wasn't like Sub was making him fight real knife throwing, popping up everywhere, seemingly invincible ninjas. He was only a Cadet afterall so Sub sent him after cheap knockoffs. It was a group of kids around his age who called themselves Team Ninja, since they were completely obsessed with all things ninja-like. They even ninja-upped their Pokemon. From what Sub said, they mostly had Pokemon like Zubat and Nincada that were ninja oriented.
So Team Ninja could safely be considered a group of costumed geeks who spent too much time watching Naruto and not enough time listening to their parents when they said "you aren't real ninjas." The only reason Snagem was getting involved with them was because of their latest plans. They wanted to catch a Elderly Shiny Scizor, which was the leader of a whole group of Scyther. If Snagem didn't step in fast the forest would be put into chaos as the Scythers rampaged without a leader.
Why they chose Arthur for such a potentially dangerous mission he had no idea. He was the most quick to frighten, insecure, timid, wimpy member in all of Snagem. Not to mention the fact that he was the youngest and least experienced. That's why he was so nervous about facing Team Ninja. They probably learned something useful from TV and they surely outnumbered him ten or so to one. Then there was the problem of his all-star team: a Sentret who ran at the sound of a penny dropping, a Cyndaquil who could barely hold a spark, and a Magnemite who couldn't use anything useful besides ThunderWave. Ninja had second and third evolution Pokemon along with their firsts.
"We'll have to get stronger if we want a chance of beating them," Arthur said. Glancing at his Pokemon, he saw that Squirrel was climbing trees and Lava was trying to get him down. They weren't even listening to him. "Oh well," he thought. "Just means they won't be in the introductions."
Taking out his Pokéball, he threw out his newly caught Magnemite, who looked around boredly. "Magnemite" Arthur called. When it noticed him, it simply flied over with a blank expression. Arthur expected him to be nervous or something like that when he was around the guys that beat him. However, he was completely apathetic about the whole situation. "Sorry if I hurt you with the capture," Arthur said. "If you're sad about losing we could always have a rematch." Magnemite boredly nodded, though Arthur could tell it wasn't listening. Obviously this wasn't his first capture. He'd been caught by too many trainers to count and released by all of them. After all that, he was bored with the whole capture routine.
"Well anyway," Arthur continued, "my name's Arthur. You probably remember those two. The Sentret's name is Squirrel and the Cyndaquil is Lava. Careful around them though...they're a little shy." Glancing at the others, Magnemite still showed no interest. If they were going to be partners AND friend, Magnemite had to want to be friends.
Luckily Arthur had made preparations for this such situation. "Well as a little welcome to the team present, I got you this." Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out a small Taser. For once Magnemite looked interested. "I know how you all like this." Pressing the button, the ten thousand volts would spring to life.
Magnemite couldn't resist the urge to draw closer, staring intently at the Taser. Smiling to show it was o.k., Arthur held the Taser out for Magnemite. Drawing even closer, the electricity would bend towards Magnemite, traveling inside it like water to a sponge. The Magnemite couldn't keep back its joy at the jolt of electricity. It was like Arthur was feeding him...and the meal was delicious. Unfortunately, Magnemite was sucking the Taser dry too fast. It was all gone within minutes. Even so, the Taser had done its part. Now Magnemite was happily floating around Arthur and asking for more juice. "Don't worry, I brought two." Bringing out another Taser, he turned the voltage up a bit before pressing it against his new friend.
By the time he was done, Arthur realized they'd stopped walking. Lava and Squirrel were far ahead of them, calling out as they waited. "Well let's go meet everyone," Arthur said as he put away the drained Tasers. "I can give you a name on the way. Can't go around calling you Magnemite can I? That would be like me being called human or boy all the time." While Arthur thought of a name, Magnemite floated happily around his head. It had plenty of trainers before, but it could never get over the bribes and such that they gave it. Those were the trainers it lasted the longest with. Magnemite just hoped that when he left Arthur it wouldn't be as harsh.
"I've got it!" Arthur said with a snap of his fingers. "Lightning! Like it?" Magnemite thought for a moment before happily nodding. Having been a Pokemon of many names, it found Lightning to be the most...unique. It was better than being called Magnet or Maggy. Heck, it was even better than his favorite name...Zeus. Finally reaching Squirrel and Lava, Arthur introduced Magnemite- no Lightning- by its new name. "From now on he'll be traveling with us. That makes a total of four teammates including Krokorok." Squirrel flinched at the mention for the brute that took him out of the contest. He could feel its fangs still biting into his tail.
"Don't worry Squirrel," Arthur reassured him. He could tell from the look on his face that Squirrel had mixed feelings about having Krokorok on the team. "Though he may be a little...violent, he's still got a heart. I remember going to the Pokemon Center a few days after the contest and finding him playing with a newborn Pidgey. Now if that's not kindness I don't know what is." Arthur of course left out the part where Krokorok was actually chasing the baby Pidgey around, since he didn't want to scare Squirrel.
"But anyway," Arthur continued, "you guys can go on ahead. I'll stay here and brief Lightning. Send up a flare if you find anything. If you use ember and you use helping hand I should see it." They both nodded before running ahead, leaving Arthur to explain everything to Lightning.
Clearing his thought, he told him a little about Snagem before going into to detail about the mission. "By catching the shiny Scizor," Arthur explained, "Team Ninja will an all-out gang war in the forest. I'm sure you wouldn't want to see Team Ninja vs. the Scythers with Snagem caught in the middle of it." Arthur was going to say more when a large flame went off in the sky. "They found something!" Arthur shouted. "C'mon Lightning, let's go!" Springing in the direction of the flare, Arthur came to a stop when he heard voices. He immediately thought to hide just in case they were with Ninja. Jumping behind the bushes, he had Lightning fly off to look for the others.
When he was gone, Arthur saw who had been talking. Jumping through the trees- or at least attempting to do so- were two scrawny young boys with black scarfs & spiky hair. One was tan with brunette hair while the other was pale with blue hair. Traveling under them were two Nincada that crawled around the floor. They were there to catch them when they fell, which was often. "Thanks Nincada," the blue haired one said after falling. "Yo Gray, are we almost there?' Getting up from his fall, the brunette scanned the area before shaking his head.
"Nothing but twigs and leaves." Reaching down, Gray picked up a rock and hurled it into the bushes. As soon as it hit him he felt tears coming out, but covered his mouth so he wouldn't reveal his position. "Why's Takashi even making us do this?' Gray said with a groan. "There's nothing ninja about looking for some old bug...even if it is shiny. Let's just get back to practicing ninjutsu." His companion shook his head in response. "You're not looking at the big picture here. Getting that one Scizor will give us control of a whole clan of Scyther. Imagine how badass we'll look with an army of Scyther with u- what was that?"
The noise in question was a loud screech that was echoing through the forest. Looking towards it, Arthur nearly jumped from his hiding place when he saw Lava, Squirrel, & Lightning running from something. "You can't outrun me I'm a ninja!" a voice shouted behind them. Moments later, a Pokemon would appear in front of the trio, preventing them from reaching Arthur, though they didn't know he was there anyway. It was a Ninjask...which could only mean one thing.
Stepping behind the trio to cut off there exit was a boy with a red scarf attached to his neck and spiky blonde hair. "Hey Takashi," Gray's companion spoke up. "I see you found some new Pokemon. You gonna share some of that action with us? There's three of them and there's three of us so it makes since." Arthur flinched when he heard that, trying to decide how to get out of this situation. He could order his Pokemon to attack, but that would reveal his position. If that weren't enough, there was also the problem of the Ninja Ninja & the two Nincada. Maybe he could get up and run, but he doubted he'd get far. Whatever he was doing he had to act fast.
"Stupid Kiyo don't get no Pokemon," Takashi said sticking his tongue out. "Guess you forgot that time when you took four Pokemon for yourself without any explanation except 'I'm cool like that.' Well I'm gonna catch all these guys 'cus I'm cool like that." Kiyo rolled his eyes in response and allowed Takashi to do his thing. "Alright Ninja Ninja, use-" He cut off when Arthur suddenly stood up from his hiding place, throwing up his hand and shouting for him to wait. "Don't hurt them!" he shouted as he ran to stand with them. "They're with me so you can't catch them!"
All attention was turned to Arthur now, his Pokemon being happy about him showing up and everyone else just looking at him with surprise & confusion. "Who the hell are you?" Gray finally asked. Arthur jumped at the question, drawing closer to his Pokemon in a protective manor. "Who the hell cares who he is?" Takashi suddenly spoke up. "Did you just miss the part where he jumped out of the bushes like a true ninja. Bet you guys didn't even notice that he was there."
Gray and Brown looked away in embarrassment while Arthur looked curiously at Takashi. "Hey kid," Takashi continued, "you don't gotta give me a name or anything. It's more mysterious if we just call you something like...U for unknown." Calling for his Ninja-Ninja, it suddenly vanished before appearing on his shoulder. Obviously the Ninjask was a future threat, but Arthur couldn’t worry about that now. Right now he had to figure out how to get through this situation. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like Arthur would make an escape when Takashi suddenly said, ”How would you like to join Team Ninja U? We could use a sneaky guy like you in our group.” Arthur glanced back at the Gray & Kiyo when the questions were asked. They were obviously against the idea or allowing someone they just met into the group. Looking back to Takashi, Arthur found himself staring up at the Ninjask, who had no discernible expression. If he said no Takashi might get mad and send it on all of them. Based off of how his trio of Pokemon were running from it, Arthur guessed it must have been stronger than them.
Gulping, Arthur simply nodded in response. ”Good then,” he said. Reaching in his pocket, he pulled out a black scarf and tossed it to Arthur. ”You’ve now passed the first step in becoming a ninja,” Arthur explained. ”Put that scarf around your mouth like Gray & Kiyo. It shows your status as a genin. When you prove you’ve got what it takes you’ll be awarded the blue scarf of a Chunin and then the green scarf of a Jounin. And if you’re really dedicated, you’ll get all the way to the yellow scarf of a Sanin or even the red scarf of a Kage, though you can only get that if I quit and that’s not likely. “ Tying the scarf around his mouth, Arthur looked to Lava and Squirrel for feedback and they both were cowering in fear. Lightning, on the otherhand, was still floating around Arthur as it waited for its next snack.
”So Gray and Kiyo are both genin?” Arthur asked. ”Just what do you have to do to become a Chunin anyway?” Takashi smiled at the question before looking around to make sure they were alone. ”Actually there’s a chance you’ll be made Chunin right off the back. Ya’ see, there’s this shiny Scizor who running around and has a whole army of Scyther at his disposal. The first one to catch that Scizor gets an automatic rank-up. It’s a race to see who can find it first.” Nodding as if he were interested, Arthur would really be thinking about how he’d get to the Scizor before any of the ninjas. He’d infiltrated them and that gave him an advantage, but now that he was in, how was he gonna get out?
”Well anyway,” Takashi continued, ”since you’re a new genin you need to go through the orientation. If you go back the way I came then you’ll find a little group of tents between two big oak trees. You can’t miss it. That’s our hideout. Find a guy named Akio and he’ll teach you all about ninjutsu and such.” Arthur smiled at this, seeing an opportunity to escape. The smile would fall when Takashi told Gray to go with him. ”So much for escaping.” While they made the journey to the hideout, Gray kept glancing suspiciously at Arthur. He obviously suspected something. Arthur just hoped he didn’t know anything about Snagem.
When they arrived, Arthur looked over the campsite around him. Gray explained that most of the members were out searching for the Scizor. ”Akio!” Gray called out. Out of one of the tents came a brunette teenager, probably older than all the others, who was actually sporting muscles. On his face was a yellow scarf, which meant he was a Sanin. ”This here’s U,” Gray explained as he approached. ”He’s the new genin and Takashi wants you to show him the ropes.” Looking over Arthur, the boy jumped into a mock salute out of respected for the Sanin. He laughed when he saw this before patting Arthur on the back…hard. ”Calm down kid. This ain’t the freaking military. We here at Ninja have a different salute.” Putting his hands together, he had his index and middle finger sticking out on each. Gray did the same handsign and looked to Arthur do the same. When he did, Akio gestured for Gray to leave while he continued the orientation. ”Now that we’ve got that out of the way,” he continued, ”let’s talk about Ninja. We here at Team Ninja are dedicated to the way of the shinobi. We follow the shinobi code of honor, live by the way of the shinobi, and die by the way of the shinobi…though nobody really died so don’t worry. Anyway, we only have three rules here in Ninja. Number one: all members must wear their colors at all times. Number two: all members must follow the way of the shinobi. Number three: all Pokemon must also be shinobi
“Now those three little guys you’re traveling with…yeah they aren’t really ninja. Loose the Magnemite and Sentret first so we can work on evolving your Cyndaquil. Quilava’s more…ninja.” Arthur immediately brought Squirrel close to him, immediately refusing. He wouldn’t abandon him of Lightning just for some stupid ninja club. ”If you won’t get rid of them then just put them in their Pokéballs. We’ll decide what to do with them after that.” Arthur could at least agree to that. Returning Lightning and Squirrel to their Pokéballs, Arthur noticed the worried expression on Lava’s face. Lykas was supposed to be the one to help him evolve…not some random guy they just met. ”It’s o.k. Lava,” he reassured him. ”So how are we gonna get him to evolve?” Akio grinned at the question before shouting the words “Battle Royal!” That didn’t sound good. ”I want you to go out and find every Ninja member you can & challenge them to a fight,” he explained. ”By the time you’re done your Quilava will either be a Quilava or stuck at lvl 100.”
Before Arthur could protest, Akio thrown out his Seviper and had it attack Lava. ”Don’t forget that I’m a Ninja too!” Dodging multiple Poison Tails, Lava’s defense mechanism kicked in, making a burst of flame shoot from his back and cover him in a flame wheel. Slamming into Seviper, it flew backwards into Akio. They were both surprised by the sudden display of strength, but they wouldn’t be able to think too much about it. After landing from the Flame Wheel, Lava released a barrage of embers at the two, chasing the two away into the forest. When they were gone, the flames disappeared as Lava fell in exhaustion. They still had a long way to go before Lava could evolve.
Just like Akio had wanted, Arthur went around the forest challenging any Ninja members he came across and beating them only with the instinct driven Lava. As he kept up his winning streak, he was gaining a name for himself in the organization. They started calling him UI for unknown instinct, which wasn’t that much different from unknown in Arthur’s opinion. Still, the name was able to strike fear into the Ninjas. Even the Sanin and Jounin were afraid to face them. When he came across them, they’d run for their lives. Unfortunately, this meant Lava wasn’t able to get to Quilava level. Thanks to all the battles he managed to self-activate his fire, but he still had the trouble of going berserk when afraid.
”Maybe we should just go straight to the top,” Arthur said as they walked. ”Let’s find Takashi and challenge-“ He cut off when a loud shriek rang out. Arthur quickly recognized it as Ninja Ninja’s screech. ”Found him!” Arthur shouted as he followed the screaming. When he arrived on the scene, he found a crowd had gathered. When they saw him, they parted for him to get through. Even though he was a genin, he was strong enough to be a Sanin or even a Kage in their eyes. When Arthur reached the middle of the crowd, his mouth fell open when he saw a group of unconscious Scyther scattered about the ground. Looking even farther up, he saw a yellowish green Scizor who was fighting against Takashi’s Ninjask.
It wasn’t until then that he remembered he was supposed to be on a mission. He’d been so focused on evolving Lava that he forgot that he was supposed to be preventing Ninja from catching the Scizor. Now it was cornered and all alone with all its buddies knocked out. He could see in Takashi’s eyes he was about to go for the capture. Arthur had no choice but to act now or he’d fail the mission. ”EMBER!” Arthur shouted out as Takashi was about to throw the Pokéball. He didn’t have time to think of a proper way to deal with the situation, but he thought he’d start with shooting fire at Takashi. However, Ninja Ninja would appear in front of Takashi to receive Lava’s flames. He used harden, though, so no damage was done.
Running to stand between Scizor and Takashi, Arthur stretched his arms out infront of the shiny Pokemon in a protect mannor. ”You won’t hurt this Scizor!” he growled. Taking off his scarf, he threw it on the floor before looking back at Scizor. ”Run while you’ve still got a chance! Don’t worry I won’t let them cause anymore damage for the Scyther. Just run!” The Scizor was hesitant, but nodded before dashing away. Though it was old, it was still fast. Before he disappeared through the trees, Arthur told Lava to follow. He still had Squirrel and Lightning afterall.
With both the Scizor and Lava gone, Arthur turned expectantly to Takashi. He felt nervousness creep in when he realized all eyes were on him and uneasiness when he realized they were waiting for some kind of explanation. Gulping, Arthur drew his inner Snagem and tried to put on a brave face. ”You so called ninjas have no right to mess with the order of the forest,” he began. ”Don’t you realize by catching that shiny Scizor you would have put the whole forest in chaos. You think the Scyther would just blindly follow you even if you had control of the Scizor? No! They’d go on a rampage looking for that Scizor and when they find you have it they’ll be out for real blood. So by catching that one Scizor you would have committed suicide and ended up killing half the Pokemon in the forest. I for one won’t let that happen…and…and…” Looking at the ground, he tried to draw his inner warrior out of him. Glaring up at Takashi, he threw out both Squirrel and Lightning to fight Ninja Ninja & the many Pokemon Ninja must have had. ”AND I’LL FIGHT EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU TO PREVENT THAT!” At first there were simply murmurs throughout the crowd, some seeing the reasoning behind his words and other just calling him stupid. This would then turn to some members of the crowd walking away. Some would just leave the idea of catching the Scizor while others decided to leave Ninja altogether. Still, a great number of people stuck with the crowd, intent on catching Scizor and maybe some of his Scyther friends as well. Among these people were Gray and Kiyo, but Akio had left the group with the rest.
”Well isn’t this a fine howdy do,” Takashi spoke up. ”Looks like we just found our first enemy. Team Ninja, let’s wipe the floor with this guy and hurry to Scizor.” The remaining ninja made handsigns in response to show they were with him. That obviously was a command to attack because now various Zubat and Nincada were charging at Arthur with bites & scratches. However, when Lightning saw this, it suddenly released a huge burst of electricity from its body to paralyze all the foes. It had used ThunderWave. ”T-thanks Lightning,” Arthur said. ”Alright now use quick attack Squirrel.” Launching at the stunned opponents, Squirrel sent them flying in different directions as he ran into them. Some were knocked out while others remained standing, now launching at Squirrel with Leech Life.
Using his tail as a shield, he allowed them to bite into it before he jumped and used slam to get them off. Even after that, though, they kept coming. Lightning stepped in then with a Thundershock, but even that did little to make their numbers dwindle. ”We need more power,” Arthur realized. ”Squirrel, use the combo move! Lightning, put all your power into a Thundershock!” Lightning nodded and was about to use the attack when Squirrel put his tail against its head. Squirrel was using helping hand to strengthen the power of the Thundershock. Realizing this, Lightning nodded before releasing all the electricity out of its body. When the Thundershock hit, the remaining Pokemon let out wails of pain before falling in unconsciousness. Seeing this, their owners returned them an ran off in defeat.
Smiling at this, Arthur frowned when he saw Lightning fall. It’d used up too much power and didn’t have the energy to do anymore. Returning the Magnemite, Arthur finally turned his attention to Takashi…or at least where he thought Takashi was. The young boy was gone without a trace. ”He’s going after the Scizor,” Arthur realized. ”Squirrel, stay and protect the Scyther. If they come too then tell them there leader won’t be gone for long.” Squirrel nervously nodded so Arthur left in pursuit of the Ninja leader. For a ninja, it was surprisingly easy locating Takashi. Thanks to the Ninjask’s loud screech, Arthur instantly found him before he could engage either Scizor or Lava. ”Takashi!” Arthur shouted.
Turning to him in surprise, Takashi let out a low growl as he realized his forces had been defeated. ”You might as well give up now,” Arthur said. ”Your teams turned tail and ran, you’ve lost have your members, the Scyther will be waking up soon, and you’ve still gotta deal with us. Face it, you’re not getting that Scizor. Leave while you still got your honor intact.” Takashi growled again, this time taking out a Pokéball. ”You little b*****d! I’m gonna kill you for this!” Throwing the Pokéball into the air, out would pop a Nincada ready for battle. ”Vampire Formation!” Takashi ordered. Using agility, Ninja Ninja suddenly vanished only to appear behind the Scizor. By the time they noticed it, the Ninjask had already bit into the elder with Leech Life.
Lava would have helped if the Nincada didn’t suddenly bite him with Leech Life. Screaming in pain, Lava tried to shake off Nincada off, but it kept an iron grip on him. ”Flame Wheel!” Arthur called out, thinking he could burn Nincada off. The initial flaming up didn’t work, but when Lava jumped and slammed into the ground, Nincada was forced off. Now that he was free, he fired off an ember to get Ninjask off of Scizor. However, it let go before the attack could hit, using agility to speed away. ”This fights between you and me now Takashi!” Arthur said as he stepped in front of Scizor. He would have told him to run if he thought he wouldn’t be attacked again. It was safer if he stuck with them.
”Ember,” Arthur ordered. Spitting out the flames, Ninjask managed to easily dodge while Nincada used harden to protect itself. ”Ninja Formation,” Takashi ordered. With that command, Nincada burrowed underground with dig while Ninja Ninja mixed agility with scratch for an incredibly fast slashing attack. In response to this, Arthur ordered a quick attack, which barely managed to keep up the agility. For a moment it looked like they were fighting on even ground, but then Nincada came out. With one well-placed Mud-Slap, it took out Lava’s eyesight. Stopping immediately, Lava now found himself bombarded with agility scratches. With the final scratch, Lava was barely standing. One more hit and it was all over. Though Lava used smokescreen to buy Arthur some time to think, he knew they were as good as dead.
”Gotta bet it all on one attack,” he thought. It would be a full power Flame Wheel that was supposed to have the same effect as the earlier Thundershock. Unfortunately, when he shot forward, Lava would hit nothing but air. Stopping himself, Lava would suddenly be hit with Ninja Ninja’s Slash. Flying forward, Lava was out like light. Arthur would have run over to help if it hadn’t been for him needing to protect Scizor. ”Well it looks like the tables have turned,” Grinning when he said this, Takashi sent out Ninjask to get rid of Arthur. It took only one quick scratch to knock him aside. He tried to get up, but Nincada jumped on top of him with a metal claw to send him back down.
”R-run Scizor,” Arthur said weakly. However, the elderly Scizor didn’t move a muscle. It wasn’t going down without a fight. Throwing a weak bullet punch, Ninjask easily dodged the attack before slashing Scizor, sending it reeling backwards. Catching itself before it could fall, Scizor went for a quick attack, but once again Ninjask was able to counter with a speedy slash. Falling on the ground, Scizor weakly got up, panting in exhaustion. He was done for and Arthur knew it. But all he could do was watch. Both Lava and Magnemite were down for the count & Squirrel was protecting the Scyther. ”If I hadn’t made him stay maybe this wouldn’t have happened.” He couldn’t waste time crying over his mistakes.
Weakly reaching out a hand, Arthur put it into the dirt. He made sure Nincada didn’t notice, though, to avoid another Metal Claw. Grabbing a handful of dirt, Arthur waited until Nincada had let its guard down before he suddenly flung it in the bug’s eyes. When it reeled from being suddenly blinded, Arthur was able to throw Nincada off as he tried to weakly get up. However, before he could even get both feet on the ground, a bright light suddenly shot in front of him like a rocket. Before anyone could realize what happened, the figure slammed hard into Ninjask, sending it flying backwards. Stopping suddenly, the figure was revealed to be a long slender Furret, who glared angrily at the Ninjask. Before it could retaliate, Furret let out a loud shout that actually hurt the ears of everyone. It was even enough to force Ninja Ninja to the ground, unable to cope with all the noise.
Now that it was down, Furret jumped and brought its tail down on Ninjask for the finishing move. It had just used Quick Attack, Hyper Voice, and Slam on Ninjask in one big surprise attack. ”Wh-what?” Hearing his voice the Furret stopped glaring and instead smiled as it happily ran over. By now Nincada had regained vision so it attempted to use stop Furret with a Metal Claw. However, the Furret easily dodged the attack before knocking Nincada away with a Slam. When it was out cold, Furret came worriedly over to Arthur, having finally noticed his injuries. Arthur at first didn’t know why this strange Furret was coming to his aid, but then he made a sudden realization. ”Squirrel?” he asked. The Furret nodded before noticing Lava lying on the ground. He didn’t need an explanation to know it was all Takashi’s doing.
”But what about the Scyther?” Arthur remembered that he’d left Squirrel to watch over the Scyther. Whatever happened to them? Looking back to Arthur, Furret simply smiled before a loud “Scyther” rang out through the forest. Moments later, a large group of Scyther would come flying in from the forest, forming a line of green heads and blades. Noticing the injured Scizor, they all flew towards it, not even noticing Arthur or Takashi, who was now backing away. While the Scyther gathered worriedly around their leader, Arthur stood and glared at Takashi. ”Now it’s over. Now you can either take your two Pokemon and run or stay & be carted out.” Takashi looked fearfully from Arthur to Squirrel to the Scyther group.
He knew it was all over, but if he was going out he’d at least go out with a bang. ”This isn’t over!” Returning both Ninja Ninja and Nincada, he took out one final Pokeball, which was blue instead of orange. Tossing it into the air, would pop a Koffing spewing out toxic gas. ”Escape Plan K!” Takashi called out before running away. Having been told everything by Scizor, the Scyther dashed after Takashi when he tried to get away. However, they stopped when Koffing began to glow white. Moments later, it would release a large violent explosion that engulfed the whole area. Nobody saw it coming so everyone was hit by it.
Miraculously, though, Arthur managed to survive along with the Pokemon. Waking up in hospital, he weakly looked up at Lava and Furret who were sitting at his bedside. They were all covered in bandages from the explosion. Sitting up, Arthur looked around and didn’t see the Scyther anyway. He didn’t learn until he later left that the Scyther group had left as soon as they were healed. Noone knew there current whereabouts. The same could be said for Takashi and the ninja that remained…
