It had been some time since the field trip, long enough that the events no long sat at the forefront of Andrew's mind. Instead he was more interested in finding those odd envelops that appeared along the path of the Campus. He dragged his feet looking for envelopes when he spotted blue haired girl staring of into the distance.
Go talk to her, his inner voice said. Now, he really didn't have the excuse of people and bed time and other things to prevent him from going and doing just that, as much as he would like one. On the other hand, he could have her attention to his self, even if only for a few minutes.
In his dream the world was ending... but now, he had the time to maybe do it right? Yeah... it couldn't hurt to talk to her, right? He took a deep breath and calmed his flame down to as low as he could get it with his fear pumping in his ears like it was.
He wandered over, slowly, feeling a little shaky himself before stopping just in front of her. "Hi..." was his brilliant self introduction.

The news about Red Envelopes around the school finally made its way to Olivia once she got back from the field trip in the Scarefari. There had been whispers before hand, and something about a crazy old horse, but nothing like when she roamed the halls on her return.
It made a shift in her every day routine, now her blue eyes would glance around occasionally to see if she could spot one of these envelopes while she continued her daily watch of those around her. Students passed by the quiet ghoul, as they often did, seeming to fade into the background somewhat. Olivia looked about, catching as many as she could to see whom to settle on for a few brief moments before moving on - was that a flash of red? Wait.. no - and moving on again.
Olivia's attention was elsewhere, staring off at their surroundings rather than the student body, when the flame demon came upon her. The shuffle of feet was a first alert, though never knew with how much hustle and bustle went on, but what tipped her off was the increased sensation of a chill throughout her body. Being around so many.. warmer bodies often had her natural ability working at an increased rate, but this time it was like something else set it off. As if -
The ghoul turned quickly at Andrew's first words. Her eyes wide at the instant realization of who he was. Wasn't... this the boil from the field trip? The one that had managed to gather a large inviting group around him that often went down to the beaches. But also the one with the brightly lit tail, a fire demon. She looked down, spotting it and her steps instantly retreated back and away from him. Shocked, scared, worried, unsure. So many emotions ran through her features as she muttered a quiet, "um.... hello..."

"..." She backed away. Did she not like him? Did his last encounter with a ghoul get around to her? Well that ghoul, had fully initiated that conflict. Andrew subconsciously rubbed his cheek at the the memory, eyes drifting away. "Umm..." his flame flared and faltered, as his tail swished nervously. He glanced back at her and stopped it, trying to hold it in place. No, she was just naturally afraid of his flame. He hoped. "ahhh.... Nice day isn't it?" it really wasn't, the clouds had drifted in front of the pumpkin sun, threatening to rain. He really just didn't know what to way, all of the words he rehearsed were now gone. Why was this so hard? It had been much easier in the dream, it just, fell into place. Well not really she has been stressed then too... maybe he just sucked and shouldn't have bothered talking to her, all he could manage to do was make her more scared. He suddenly remembered her crying face and looked away again. He didn't know what to doooo.

The flame on his tail altered in its intensity as it flicked back and forth, Olivia was unsure of what it meant. Nor the look on his face, was he disappointed... or hurt by her actions? Surely he had to understand where her hesitations were stemming from, right? (It was maybe one of the first instinctive traits she had picked up on after arriving to Halloween Town after all).
She stole a glance at the skies once he mentioned the weather, the clouds lofting around them and blocking parts of their pumpkin sun. "I ... suppose," came another soft response. Olivia had halted in her retreat back finally, but mostly because she didn't have much room to back up into. Walls, even short dividers, were like that, always there when you didn't need them. They were at least at a healthier distance from before.
"It'd be nice... if it rained..." The small ghoul added on without a thought. Oh wait, it wouldn't for him would it. She was obviously at just as much of a lose as she was.

She talked to him… but she had backed right up into a wall. Andrew decided to move to one side and keep his tail well away from her. He was scaring her, he didn’t want that. He didn’t try to close the distance, worried she might bolt. But she talked to him, that was a good sign yes? Why did she have to be undead? Why couldn’t she have been a demon or even a reaper? Never mind that the other reaper he met was less than pleasant. “Ahhh rain?” he made a face. He had yet to experience the horror of rain while he was outside, and he’d much prefer to keep it that way. That reminded him, he needed an umbrella. Dumb as it would look, it was better than holding his tail to his stomach. “I hope not.” Maybe she just wanted him gone. But… he had come this far, he wasn’t going to just give up now. He tried to think of something to say... but trailed into silence, staring at his shoe.

Olivia watched him shift his stance in silence, catching as he moved his tail to not be so forward and upfront. He wasn't leaving (part of her didn't really want him to) but he also wasn't coming any closer, more of trying to make the air between them a little more comfortable. For her. she blinked, tilting her head to the side curiously. So, perhaps he did understand.
It made her smile for a brief moment, until he caught her on her words. "Oh!" Her blackened hands shot out in front of her, waving as if to clear up her mistake. Upon realizing, she pulled them back in. "Sorry, I suppose.. you wouldn't like the rain," she replied with a nervous kind of laugh. "It can be rather pleasant though." Probably if he was still inside, watching it. Or maybe if flames fell from the sky? Was that even possible? She wasn't sure really.
He was staring at his shoe now, and she was unsure of what to say to him. They were both so very stuck. "Did.. you hear about the envelopes?" Maybe that could work?

“No… no rain… though I haven’t been out in it… yet.” He really was dreading that experience and wanted to avoid it if at all possible. He shrugged letting the subject drop. The one he brought up was a stupid one anyway. Then she brought up something much better. “Ahh yeah, I’ve even found a few.” He smiled at her. “I like collecting them. I had a few mishaps… they can make you hiss like a snake, but… nothing harmful. If you take them to this uncle, you can get some good stuff too.” A subject he could talk about! Huray! “What about you? Have you found any yet?” his tail flared up a bit, matched with a smile on his face. She really was cute. Just like his dream. He didn’t mind her being quiet. She had always been quiet. He just… wanted to stay connected to her. Well make a connection. Whatever.

Judging from how quickly he had dived into the subject of the letters, Olivia could only guess he didn't want to discuss the rain. Really, she couldn't blame him. But she still jumped a little, especially when his tail seemed to flare up again.
"O-oh," she stuttered, regaining her composure a bit. "I haven't found any yet," she told him. Honestly, finding it strange with how often she observed her surroundings and all, though perhaps she didn't as much as she though given how he had gotten so close to her without her realizing. "I just heard others talking about them and about a crazy horse, is that the uncle?" Would make sense.
And they would get stuff. This sounded better and better.

"Ahh yeah. I didn't know he was a horse... I am fairly new and I don't get the differences between everyone yet." he shrugged. "Mostly I know firelands stuff." Andrew glanced around and then walked away away looking in the bushes kicking them. "I'll find you one." he declared, happy to have a task that would, possibly make her happy, and then they could, build some kind of connection, or something. He started to hunt around the area, moving bushes and looking about, moving from place to place and even taking off into the air for a moment to servery the area. He evidently spotted what he was looking for from up there and disappeared behind the building and came back with a pair of letters. "Here!" he held one out to her tail burning in happiness, clearly proud of his task being completed. "Ahh, I'm Andrew by the way."

Not like she could day the same for herself really, nor what really entailed with the description of him being a horse; monster, demon, actual horsemen? Olivia hadn't seem him as of yet, just heard things really from the grapevine.
Firelands though, she just knew it was bad and her relations never spoke of it. Except it was bad. And she should never go there. Because it was bad.
He didn't seem so bad though, like Faus. And already, she could tell he seemed to have good intentions and a friendly nature about him, he just had the whole flame thing working against him. He even offered to help her look, or more of take over looking. Her searches hadn't been as extensive as his and part of her was inclined to follow, if it wasn't for that swishing tale and the heat that he produced. Olivia just inched a little further from the wall, watching him all the while, while he looked through the bushes - as she had really never thought about doing that.
He disappeared, and she inched a little more outward to see where he was going, only to jump back in surprise when he reappeared. And with letters. (Really, it was that easy?) "Ooh," she stared at him. Pretty. For a moment she hesitated, before quickly taking one of the offered envelops before taking a large step back from him.
"Thank you," she replied with an awkward sort of smile. If she had the ability to blush, she probably would have.
"I'm Olivia."

"You are welcome." Finally! Success! Though she still was avoiding him. Still he got this far. And... her name matched the one in his memories. How odd. He opened the envelop in his hand and out popped a coin. Wow, lucky! this one didn't look as weird as the others. "Ahh, I got something good. what did you get?" his tail burned in happiness. and he shook out his wings. Today was a good day, yep. chirigami holy smokes is Andrew lucky. O.O

Olivia watched him with curious eyes as he opened his envelope. She was almost to the point of leaning over to see what was inside, she had no idea what to expect after all having only heard pretty much second hand about what the deal with all of this was.
"Oh," she said in a gasp when she saw him pull out the coin, "pretty." It reminded her somewhat of the coin that served as a dangly keychain off of her skellyphone. Well, if this Uncle was indeed a Horsemen, perhaps what was why.
As requested, Olivia got to work on opening her own. Careful blackened fingers worked at the flap, finding it coming apart with relative ease. She flipped it open and turned it rightside up to allow whatever might be inside to fall into her upright palm. Nothing came out though and she brought the opening up close, pinching it open a little to get a better look. "Oh, it's empty," she told the boil. Well, at least the envelope was a rather pretty color.

"Empty?" he looked at the envelope. Perhaps he should have checked. "Ahh well..." he looked around and then sighed. "You can have my coin if you want." His tail burned in embarrassment. "Then we can go find the uncle.... if you want."

It was very much in Olivia's nature to take things that were offered to her, considering them gifts for her collection and keeping them as a momento of whoever gave her the item. But, this situation seemed a little... different. Perhaps because she knew she wasn't going to be able to keep it anyways but also Andrew's sigh to her meant he was a little reluctant of giving up his prize.
It also didn't help much that any impulse to brave walking forward to claim it from him were dashed by the little flair of his tail. And obviously she had no idea why there was a sudden change, but it was there and it made the ghoul step a little further back. Her eyes were glued to it, like she couldn't look away even though she desperately wanted to. "It's alright," she said in a meek voice. "You.. found it."

Was she... staring at his tail? He suddenly felt very self conscious about it. he hadn't realized how much of a problem it would be. She...wasn't even looking at his face. His tail burned a little lower and he dropped it to almost the ground. "Are you sure?" he wanted her to have it... even if it meant giving it up. he had intended for her to enjoy the encounter... but that didn't seem to be working out. He just felt, so awkward and he unconsciously backed away from her.
