Millie flopped down on a couch in the common areas of her dorm, utterly exhausted. All that running around was scary. Her body certainly wasn't used to that much exercise in one day and made a mental note to pick up a few gym credits this semester if she was going to be of any use to anyone in the coming year. As yawned and stretched her legs, she noticed a flyer stuck to the bottom of her shoe. How strange. Didn't the gnomes usually clean this stuff up? Picking the flyer up from under her shoe, she noticed a small stack of them on a coffee table across the room. Her feet took the opportunity to remind her to be grateful that she didn't have to be the student to stand around and hand these out. It seemed easier to try and read the one in her hand than getting up and grabbing another. Millie read the heading out loud. "DETH?" Millie squinted to try and read the rest of the flyer thought the shoe print. "What's DETH?"

The punk boil had to pass through the common rooms to get to the stairs that led down to his floor--and he'd been in a good mood, honestly, he had some ideas for Scarentines gifts (green cat guy--what, sure he looked shady, but who was Roch to judge?) had picked up a bag of groceries, and was planning on crashing his little sister's place to make her cook them! Then he saw the fliers. "Son of a candlewax, not this crap again," he said, picking one up and looking at it. "Jack, you'd think they'd have gotten a clue by now," he muttered, crumbling the sheet up in a ball and tossing it into the trash. Only to watch as it bounced off of a pile of them already in the can. He was standing right in front of the ghoul on the couch, not that he noticed it, staring at the trashcan as if it had offended him. Then he snorted, reluctantly amused.

Millie watched the boil attempt to throw the crumpled flyer in the trashcan and smiled as it bounced off the other papers obviously of the same make. How funny that these flyers could cause such a distaste for them that students are all to eager to throw them away.Millie tried to look at her flyer again with little success. Still not eager to get up and retrieve a fresh one, Millie tilted her head slightly at the boil with a questioning look. "What's it for?" she asked.

Roch glanced down, a hint of hesitation on his face as he looked at the new ghoul--he didn't recognize her. There was a chance it was a hunter. But he shrugged in reply. "DETH. It's this club about proper FEAR gatherin' and the whole 'have you hugged a human t'day?' spiel. It's extreme," said the boil with the almost foot tall mohawk and more piercings than skin, practically. "And a lot of people hate 'em, cuz we got enemies that are human." He dropped down on the couch next to her, looking at her closely. "What's your name an' weapon or familiar?" he asked her. What? If he didn't, Shun would be straining that one eye of his again!

Millie blinked at him, a little confused by his forwardness. "I'm Millie. My weapon is Esu." After a bit of thought, Millie added. "Why would anyone want to hug a human? Are they afraid of hugs? I don't get how that would generate FEAR..." Millie looked at the nearby table, a bit unsure of how to ask her question and a little uncomfortable under Roch's scrutinizing gaze. "I was told humans are taught that we aren't real. What happens if they all start believing we aren't real? They won't fear us if they don't know about us..."

"That ain't gonna be a problem," Roch said honestly. "When it is, we get some reapers out in the human world, makin' movies and other stuff just t'make sure they don't forget. What DETH is tryin' t'do is regulate the way we gather FEAR. Which ain't altogether wrong," he admitted, "but they try an' ignore the hunters--" He frowned, looking at her. If she was that new, would she even know hunters. "Let's put it this way--no touchin' the humans, no scarin' them more than a tiny panic attack, no this, no that, humans are precious things that should be treated with kid gloves," he summed up. "That's how DETH sees things. And even if the humans are killin' off their own followers, all they do is disappear, lettin' their pals die. Cuz humans are important." Yes, he was still pissed off at what had happened to Tex.

"How do you ignore something that's trying to take your head off?" Millie said quietly, not really wanting to make it seem like she wanted an answer. Millie's face scrunched up in thought and turned to face Roch. "Can hunters even be used for FEAR harvesting? I thought they weren't really good for that kind of thing. So DETH's answer is to just.. ignore them and carry on even if hunters are hacking us down?"

"Pretty much," Roch said. "Sure the thought is, y'treat the regular humans right and they won't turn into hunters when they get older, but that don't change anything about the hunters we already gotta deal with," he told her flatly. "DETH ain't the way t'go--but they have some points t'them. Horsemen ain't the way t'go, but they have some points t'them, too... hell..." He looked at her. "How many of the groups have y'run into?" he asked her.

"That's not a bad plan I guess..." Millie tried to take in Roch's words. Now she was even more confused. The idea did have merit. "Though there's always the change they'll turn into a hunter for the heck of it because they don't like being messed with, not even for the little bit if we were on DETH's plan." Millie stretched. She had been sitting in the same position for a while. "Well... I don't know much about horsemen. I've never even met one." Millie seemed uncomfortable and looked at the table again. "I did meet a hunter though. She was the one that told me humans are taught not to believe in us... before she chased me around and stabbed me a 'buncha times. Called it a game of "tag." only, I don't get to fight back because she was ridiculously tough...Then she helped me patch myself up afterwards and now I'm not sure which part of that was more humiliating." Millie looked utterly dejected. That was way more than she wanted to share.

"Consider yourself lucky," Roch said quietly. "Hunters like t'kidnap us--that weapon she stabbed you with? It used t'be a student, like us. That she patched you up and let y'go? Well it just proves how screwed up their group is. There's some nice, there's some that'd kill you rather than look at you. It's the nice ones that are the most dangerous," he said flatly. "They sucker y'into thinkin' hunters might not be so bad, then thinkin' of takin' their side, then hell, you might make a pretty little weapon for them t'shoot the rest of us with." He snorted. "Horsemen--well, they're crazier than hell, far as I can tell. But I wouldn't be surprised if a few students decided t'join them. Ask me, they got a reason for wantin' t'kill hunters--hunters destroyed their islands and a shitton of them, left a lot of the ones behind with Insanity--well, yeah, I see their point," he said quietly. "But their leader lady? She's a psychopath. You can practically smell the crazy comin' off of her--and I don't think it's insanity."

Millie felt like she was going to be sick. That thing used to be a student? "Well, that's good to know." she said flatly. Millie really had believed the Hunter was being friendly... or just considered her so beneath her as not to bother killing her. It hadn't even dawned on Millie that being captured was an option. "What's her name? The crazy horseman, that is. Do the hunters have a leader too?" Ice Queen Is it cheating if we grab CNY envelopes since we're here or does the PRP have to be dedicated to envelopes? There IS a bunch of junk on the tables after all... XD Plus it would let us interact on a more lighter note ^_^

"Medea," Roch said, reaching up and rubbing his right shoulder. "And yeah, hunters got a leader--think they've got more than one," he said, but he didn't touch his back, mostly because reaching the scar from the whip wound was a pain in the neck. "But they ain't here, and I'm tired of thinkin' bout them, so--what is Esu?" he asked. "A weapon? A familiar? I'll show you mine if you show me yours!" Yes, he seriously just said that. Alicia Firestar I think the CNY have to follow a prompt?

Millie burst out loud laughing at the implied joke. "Okay, okay." Millie said and stood up. At least her shoulder was feeling better. A movement in her wrist that Millie played out a bit dramatically, gauging where Esu would be so that she wouldn't hit anything with it when it was summoned and Esu was out just like that. It was short for a glaive but then again, so was Millie. The weight of it made her feel better and she wondered why she didn't just walk around with it out more often. It was so comforting. "Your turn." Millie smirked. Quote: Trying to show off are we? XD IDK. There doesn't seem to be a prompt, it just says 'make an RP with the effect' but I don't really get it ^_^; I've just been looking at other PRPs so looks like we can just start a separate one on our own? I could be missing something entirely though.

"Hmmm, not bad," Roch said. "Simple, but useful, not a bad blade length," he critiqued. "Have you ever sharpened her?" he asked, looking to Millie again. "We've got a smithery next t'the building, it's pretty convenient. And learnin' t'sharpen your own weapon can help teach y'to clear your head." Then he stepped back, holding out his hand. A large amount of FEAR gathered, then formed into his guitar. Desiree had gone through some changes over the years, he thought with amusement. "This is Desiree," he told her. "Foot long bladed headstock, bladed body, six strings, or four, dependin' on what mood I'm in. No amp needed. But she does require a lot of sharpenin', I gotta admit."

Millie smiled. "That's not a bad idea. No I've never sharpened her, but then again, I haven't used her much either." Millie paused to look at the blade. "Though I have a feeling while at this school that's not going to stay that way for very long." Staring at her blade, Millie felt a spark of recognition. Something Roch had just said... it felt just like when she was with the hunter. When the hunter said something was not real and Roch mentioned the smithery. It felt the same. What was it supposed to be?"Hey Roch... have you ever felt like you couldn't remember something but you knew it was important? Like a song you can't remember the lyrics to?" Ice Queen Yay! One more spark left to unlock! ^_^;
