Another day, another night trying to figure out the endless puzzle of the magical underground of Destiny City. Though, tonight Zia must've felt nostalgic because she was sitting at her desk in her little library, cheek held up by one hand while the other thumbed through a collection of papers from a box she'd dubbed (And labeled with an appropriate label-maker made label) as the ROTA Files.

It wasn't entirely nostalgia, she'd had an amazing discussion with Aquarius about getting down to the core of the war. And Zia talked with Negas a lot, but she had always had them ask her questions, and tried to talk about purification.

She had never even bothered to look into the catalyst of the senshi and Negaverse war, but she figured it should probably be relevant to her if Ares was going to go kiss their a**. So she turned to all she had at her disposal, which were her Operation ROTA notes.

And there was nothing in them she didn't already know. Which made sense, considering she wrote them, but it was still frustrating. She had been on the rise-- not especially difficult since as early as last July she had been a permanent fixture to the sofa-- but lately she'd hit a plateau, and her motivation was waning as she flopped forward, resting her head into her arms with a dramatic groan.

If there was one thing Sailor Orpheus was good at it was creeping. He didn't need to walk through any mirrors to do this, a feat he was definitely proud of. It wasn't hard when Zia was so focused on what she was reading, but before he went to surprise her into hitting him he went to the couch and picked up the blanket, throwing it over the mirror. A second to look at his handiwork and make sure no parts of the mirror were visible from behind the blanket, he went back to his original task of getting hit by Zia.

"I thought you were going to get rid of the mirror," he said frankly, before changing the topic. "Whatcha reading?"

He stepped back quickly though. b***h was crazy after all.

b***h was totally crazy. And also oblivious and painfully embarrassing. Because with her head flopped in her arms and her thoughts on other things, she didn't notice his presence at all, and when he did make his presence in close proximity she jumped and yelped in a spastic enough reaction she totally fell out of her chair.

Zia could be a smooth operator under appropriate circumstances and enough mental preparation.

These were not those circumstances.

"Holy s**t, ********, what?" She said hoarsely while she scrambled to her feet, trying not to pay too much attention to her a** after it had collided with the concrete floor, and trying to get her heartbeat down to normal. "It's... uh..." She flipped a file closed while one hand rest on her hip. "It's logs and notes from some old bullshit." And then what he'd actually said before sunk in and she crossed her arms and frowned. "I actually think I said I was definitely not getting rid of the mirror."

Sailor Orpheus seemed genuinely uninterested in what she had in her notes, and generally more concerned about the mirror's location than appropriate for the Dark Mirror senshi. His face made an obvious n shape when she said she wasn't going to get rid of it, which then smoothed itself over to a somewhat charming expression.

"I can just break it then you won't even have to move it." Yeah, he was definitely pretending she didn't say she wasn't going to get rid of it.

Zia's frown took on a sense of indignity, especially when he smiled at her, which added more to it as she briefly pondered her inability to keep her hands off of barely legal looking boys.

"Well that would be rude," She huffed. "I need it. What is your problem, anyway? I though you guys are supposed love your own reflections." Whether she meant guys in general, pretty guys, or DMCers she left up to interpretation. "I need it, okay, just... just don't touch it."

She was pretty distracted by trying to notice some of the fancier aspects of his fuku, and ended up caught up on the fact she couldn't see his eyes. And in a typical 'Zia has no physical bounderies' kind of way, reached up and took his glasses off of his face. "What're these for anyway? What are you even the senshi of, Sparklepants?" She asked, holding them up and looking through them before putting them on her face and crinkling her nose. "Inappropriate-Eyewear-for-Nighttime?"

For a minute Orpheus almost forgot he was powered up simply by the expression Zia was making, but quickly it went away when she mentioned reflections. The thought made his shiver, and in no sense of the word was that in a good way. He could barely remember his reflection anymore, which definitely made his hairstyle choice make sense. Every time he seen it, he felt as if he was being watched and the fear of something pulling him through it accounted for several smashed mirrors that hadn't belonged to him.

Definitely more used to Zia's presence than he should have been, the senshi didn't even flinch when she removed his glasses. It might have been partially due to the fact that he didn't view her as a threat, and partially because sometimes when he looked at her he could still see her naked. She probably wouldn't have appreciated that though.

"Yes, exactly that. I can't believe how good of a guess you are. I never would have thought anyone would guess it: I am the senshi of Inappropriate-Eyewear-for-Nighttime." There wasn't even a laugh to it as he expressed that sentiment because it was completely deadpan.

"You're ******** hilarious," Zia said flatly with the smallest twitch of a sideways smile on her face. And still totally wearing his glasses. Well, until she pulled them off to inspect them again, focusing on them instead of him as she spoke.

"You know it's totally ridiculous an unfair how you manage to be charming and creepy at the same time," She said, stopping to unsuccessfully blow a strand of hair out of her eyes before her brain circled back to the whole reason she was out here looking stuff up.

"I don't... I mean... You wouldn't know anything about the Negaverse, would you?" She wasn't expecting him to, clearly evidenced by her tone. That wasn't his faction, and while allies with his faction, he wasn't especially close with his own kind.

"Why thank you," he said as a smile slid to his face, simple and smug.

Her question following seemed a little random though, causing the dark mirror senshi's thoughts to pause. Negaverse? Hm... he didn't know too much about them other than the fact they had been at the Surrounding when his whole life changed. Well, that and Zippeite but as far as it concerned Orpheus that was nothing but a piece of trash.

"Nothing pleasant," he replied.

"Yeah, that's what I thought," She said, sounding disappointed somehow even without seeming like she was expecting much.

"You know I've been talking with those guys forever and I never actually cared to ask why their organization even exists. Like. What? And some of them are just downright nasty anyway," She laughed, acting like she was showing off a tattoo on her hip, except the marking on display when she tugged the denim down was a piece of the twisted and mangled marring from Painite's spear.

And then she moved on, putting his glasses back on his head in what she considered to be an incredibly polite manner and flopped back on the futon. "So why are you here?"
PostPosted: Fri Mar 08, 2013 10:16 pm

He couldn't say why he was really there because frankly she'd probably kill him right then and there with the mirror but the truth was he only powered up to make sure she wasn't off getting herself into trouble. He knew she did, and when her hip revealed the scar that Painite had left things made a little more sense and his facial expression changed to a scowl for a moment. He was seriously considering simply tying her to his bed for the rest of his life, and while she may enjoy that for a night she wouldn't be pleased if she was never allowed to leave.

"Well..." he said, grabbing the first book off her desk. "To find out more about this."

No idea what it was but it was better than saying the truth.

"Well I mean like..." Zia hated her lack of proper human articulation. It took an awkward pause for thought before she could phrase what she wanted.

"I mean I'd hope so," It would be disappointing as all ******** if he didn't even have the scientific curiosity to analyze the bullshit around him. Even bunnies did that out of basic survival instincts. "I guess I just mean, to what end? Since you can't purify and all."

She flopped back lazily, holding her phone over her face as she clicked through menu screens. This place might as well have been an ally cat's nest since she obviously slept there, and probably more than she spent at home.

"I guess I'm just not sure what's in this for you. I mean I obviously have ideas, but I'm probably projecting."

To be honest, he didn't want to think about all the s**t around him. In fact, he wasn't sure what he wanted to say to her at all. He did what any one could, he asked a question based on the fact she gave him.

"Purify?" He wasn't familiar with the term, or the term corruption.

"You know like... like..." Zia huffed a little and flopped back to an upright sitting position as she pursed her lips.

"Okay so it's like, when Ares crams her weird parallel soul into your body. But when she does you get infected with another element, called Chaos," She said, animating her hands as if she could actually visually explain this. "There are senshi out there that can be corrupted by the Chaos element without Ares, though. And, if you mix a lot of magic, you can purify it out of them, and they turn into normal senshi, you know, the kind with the white bodices."

She sighed, "It's all hard to explain, it's supposed to be something you can just feel. Like how, you senshi guys can feel the auras of people. It's supposed to be really telling, but I can't... do it," She puffed out her cheeks, reminding herself how annoying it was to be energy blind. "Kind of like how you can't feel me. I don't have any magic."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 08, 2013 6:30 pm

There was a groan, and an obviously unhappy expression over his face.

"Look, I don't care about whatever "elements" you're talking about because I don't want to be either or any."

Yeah, that's right. He didn't want to be a senshi period.

Zia wasn't sure if she was irritated or grateful he didn't acknowledge his proficiency in a magic she had denied herself access to, ungrateful brat, but he just confused her further.

"Like? I mean, what?" A lot of people didn't want their alter egos when they awakened, that usually went away with time. But he was almost two years old, wasn't he? "Like depowering?"
