Short Personality Blurb: Smarter than perhaps is good for him, Knotted is a charmer who loves to captivate an audience. He enjoys the spotlight, and is well-suited to perform for others (even if just telling jokes and stories, but more spectacularly by pulling pranks that garner great attention and amusement). His greatest fear is mediocrity, and is often plagued by worry that he is undeserving of the attention he gets and will someday fade into obscurity. His ladylove keeps these demons at bay, and turns that insecurity into a drive to keep her adoration always. His cleverness helps him keep things fresh, and a fantastic failure, to him, can be just as enjoyable as a phenomenal success.

As for a prank gone wrong -- can you think of something good? I'm trying to figure out what kind of pranks they could even do! XD;

Three Personality Keywords: Sweet, Driven, Resourceful
Short Personality Blurb: She is a help-mate, a kin who does not mind scouring the swamp for that one elusive plant you're looking for and certainly not when you're looking for somekin to meticulously help you set up a prank. Oh no, she would be delighted to help you with that. Before Knotted Smile she thought that if she had to do something magnificent, one brilliant show of all her hard work culminating in, well, something so that she would matter. It had to be great, but she didn't know what it would be, so she had worked day in and day out to try and discover that one moment of her greatness. Then she met Knotted Smile and she found that she didn't need one moment, not when she could have as many as there are stars in the sky, building one on top of the next.

I was thinking maybe in order to get an audience, they spread the word of their pranks through a secret code of writing that people learn to read through word of mouth and the one coming up is a trap of some sort with some other mechanisms that make it more complicated and funny/scary and so kin are gathering, hiding in the bushes, they know better than to be seen. Knotted Smile and Falling Limbs were planning on leading a kin into the trap (they're fantastic actors who can look quite scared for a little bit before breaking out into manic grins and laughing) but all of the sudden, Knotted Smile runs out from the brush, being chased by an angry animal of some sort and he accidentally steps into the trap and everyone is laughing, fairly good naturedly, and so is Falling Limbs but of course, she takes pity on him and gives him a little lick on his cheek and saying that she'll get him down. Later. After everyone's got a chance to get in a good laugh.

I think I fixed up the weird line?

Hey! I highlighted a line in your entry that I didn't understand on reading... I think it comes off a little unclear! Otherwise, I think she's WONDERFUL! <33 And I love the name, too! > U<

As for the prank, I love the idea! Do you mind if we simplify it a bit to get it all in the entry (without writing a novel, haha)? What if they're telling stories and speaking in poems to lead the kin into their fantastic rigged trap when Knotted gets too into his own extemporaneous poetry and falls into it himself -- then it can continue like you say, with sweet Falling Limbs giving him a lick and him laughing because his trap DID scare the crap out of everyone for a second, at least!

Yeah, that sounds good! How do you want to write this? Round-robin or some other way?

We could round-robin and then edit it for smoothness at the end?

It had taken them weeks to set up the traps.

The difficult thing was not the traps themselves -- simple little things made of springing vines, pure child's play -- but convincing other kin that Knotted Smiles and Falling Limbs were sincere for once, that all they wanted was company for a night of revelry and poetry. It had taken them weeks to soothe others' suspicions of them, to assuage the scorn recently pranked kin felt for them. The two acha simpered and charmed and talked their way out of the hurt feelings. All they wanted was their presence at a party. Honest!

There was a feast. There was song and poetry and the telling of stories, and all went according to plan. Knotted Smiles lead the charge, laughing the loudest and reciting all manners of poems to thrill his company. By the end of the night, when he suggested they move locations, to begin the party afresh elsewhere, nobody was suspicious. They did not question the wideness of his ever-present grin.

But they had little reason to distrust it. After all, unlike Knotted and Falling's other parties, nothing had yet exploded, or jumped out to scare them, or turned their tongues purple. Their guards were down.

So they all went, still singing and cheering, with Knotted at the front of the group.

"Come, my friends!" Knotted cheered behind him. He walked backwards to ensure that all stayed together, the mischief he had kept free of his expression all night now starting to make its appearance.

"The party has barely begun!
Let us sing 'til we tire
And eat 'til we burst
and dance 'til our laughs wake the sun!"

"Is that the best you can do, Knotted?" yelled one buck toward the back, although his words were filled with mirth.

"I am happy to yield the floor to you if you can do better!" Knotted called back with a grin. They were entering the stretch of land now where the traps were hidden -- any moment now the kin would step on a loaded vine that would spring them, upside-down, into the air! Any moment now...

"Of course I could," the buck in the back continued. "Let me just think a moment..."

"Our party is dulling while you stand there mulling~" Knotted sang. "Be quicker to wit, and look less like a twit, my friend."

A chorus of laughs followed, save for the grumbling of the buck. "I've almost got one, if you weren't distracting me. "

Knotted laughed, taking a bow for those that chuckled at his joke. He then stood, grinning cheekily. "How could I, when-- YEEP!"

With his back leg, Knotted took a step backward into one of his own traps. He felt the vine tighten around his hoof and before he had any time to react, he was flung upside-down, high into the air.

Hey! You can intersperse Falling in this anywhere you want, and tell me if you think anything should be edited! Sorry this took so long, I had kind of a bonkers weekend. = n=;;; <33

It had taken them weeks to set up the traps.

The difficult thing was not the traps themselves -- simple little things made of springing vines, pure child's play -- but convincing other kin that Knotted Smiles and Falling Limbs were sincere for once, that all they wanted was company for a night of revelry and poetry was a whole other story.

Falling Limbs of course knew exactly where they were being led, but never let it be said that she wasn't a good actress. She was one of the best, better than Knotted Smiles when she wanted to be, and seemingly infinitely more trustworthy than her counterpart. Knotted liked to say it was her eyes, but late at night when he teased less and ventured into the dark abyss of truth, he said it was because despite all the harmless lies she told throughout the day, always within her was this kernel of earnestness that no kin could resist. And so she smiled, channeling that earnestness and helped Knotted lead the way.

The other kin had little reason to distrust their sudden move. After all, unlike Knotted and Falling's other parties, nothing had yet exploded, or jumped out to scare them, or turned their tongues purple (or that one time when they figured out how to make kins' faces feel like they were melting off on one side, that was a good one). Their guards were down.

So they all went, still singing and cheering, with Knotted at the front of the group.

"Come, my friends!" Knotted cheered at the kin following him.

Keeping them distracted, Falling added fuel to that buck's fire:

"Let us hear it, now, if you'd please!
We don't have all night to put your ego at ease!
Come now! Show us your wit!
I dare you to! Don't be afraid, it won't hurt a bit!

Look here! This buck will not entertain you!
Or can he? Or maybe you, you or you?"

This raised a few cheers and laughter as kin in the back jostled the buck, urging him to respond to Knotted and Falling's challenge.

"Of course I could," the buck said absentmindedly. "Let me just think a moment..."

"Our party is dulling while you stand there mulling!" Knotted sang.

The crowd all jumped back, nearly as one. Only Falling didn't react, except for her face crumpling into a strange mixture of glee and surprise for she had realized what would happen but didn't warn her partner soon enough. She had managed to catch the other party goers faces though and those had been well worth it as were the yelps.

Not able to contain herself any longer, she went up to Knotted, laughing. "It seems we've been caught and all our planning for naught! Except did you see your face? And theirs as well? All of you, giving such a good yell."

But she took pity on him and gave him a comforting lick on his cheek. "Perhaps you'll pay attention next time and not step into your own line."
