Note to RP members: If all your character wants is a drink, use one of the wenches to serve your character one. Interaction with the barkeep however will vary, depending on the type of interaction or the questions asked. Just remember Gromit is watching so no roughhousing or getting grabby with the wenches.
IMPORTANT note to RP members: As I am trying something new here by controlling various NPCs rather than playing a character myself, it very important that you quote me when you plan on moving to a different thread/location so I can plan ahead and react accordingly when your character arrives there.
For Example
Viper9000
(Moving to the brothel after this post Viper.)
Another note to RPing members: Remember your characters are adventurers. They will not have unlimited gold/funds.
A rustic and roomy building with a well worn furniture and floors yet a homely atmosphere. The high ceiling is born aloft by thick supporting beams made from ancient trees and the simple wooden furnishings (chairs & tables) were hewn by the hand's of local carpenters. Carpets cover part of the wooden floor, thready from years of trampling. Mounted above the stone hearth that dominates the leftmost wall rests the tavern's namesake, a large dragon head with the broken blade of an axe embedded deep in its skull. At one end there is a small stage, situated near the bar, for live entertainment. Across the other way, a flight of stairs leads upwards to the tavern's rooms for rent.
Behind the bar is a small kitchen, manned by the tavern keeper's wife, Diana and sometimes their children. Further back an empty door frame leads into a small hall with three doors. One is presumed to be a storage closet while another would lead downwards into the cellar but the third room remains a mystery to all but the tavern owner.
The Broken Ax is staffed by the owner & his wife, three wenches, and a lone bouncer.
(Its roughly about 8 pm in Springfog, the sun has set and the night owls are on the move. The Broken Ax is about half full.)
A rowdy cheer rolls through the Broken Ax as a dwarf's ham-sized fist tags table and is pinned there by an equally as large green fist. Disheartened grumblings follow as money changes hands, their chosen arm wrestling champion having been put in his place. Nursing a fresh beer in his good hand, the other being rather sore after a ten minute arm wrestling match with an orc, the dwarf and his friends retreat to another table as the orc accepts his next challenger.
Mr. Jackson, or Morgan as he tells everybody to call him, works the bar while his wife Diana prepares another pot of stew in the back. Ruby tumbles through the crowd serving drinks to all with coin in their pockets. Gromit stands vigilant alongside the front door, his unblinking eyes slowly scanning the crowd for signs of trouble. Gloria seats an expectant female orc and hulking bodyguard in the one remaining corner booth while Tammy completes a song on stage alongside one of the local bards.
(Take your pick how you want your character to enter the scene! Are they a part of the crowd watching the arm wrestlers? Are they at the bar? Are they just now entering the Broken Ax?)

Mori sat in one of the tables near where the arm wrestling was happening, her hood up so her orange hair wouldn't catch attention in the fire lit tavern. She watched as the men would try and topple one another with the brute force of their muscly arms. How long each man lasted would vary depending on their strength, the strength of their opponent, and how drunk they were. While Mori watched the men display their manliness her doll wandered around the table, gathering coasters and other such nearby materials and stacking them. Mori's fingers would twitch and move as she controlled the doll, some times dropping things since she wasn't really paying attention and simply doing something to keep her hands busy. At one point the doll stopped and looked around. "there's nothing left." The doll said, getting Mori's attention. She looked down at the doll then around the table. Back at the doll she shrugged. "Well now what?" The doll asked. Mori shrugged again. The doll looked around then to the things it had stacked. "Maybe I can build something?" It asked, looking back up to Mori. Mori didn't respond but the doll nodded and started to take the stacked materials and rearrange them. Mori returned her attention to the arm wrestling and the doll started to get clumsy again.
"Eye of newt, tail of salamander, scale of dragon..." Gwenhwyfar muttered to herself as she added some ingredients in a vial which sat over a small fire. Wrinkling her sensitive nose at the acrid scent of chemicals, the moon elf gently added a few shriveled leaves from her belt pouch.
"One last thing..." She muttered as she added a drop of orange zest. Before potion exploded in a flash of white light.
Gwenhwyfar felt her head spinning as she found sprawled over the orc and dwarf both turning their heads to the interloping elf.
With a nervous grin the sorceress scrambled from the table trying to avoid eye contact with the other patrons.
Great that got me nowhere she thought to herself taking a seat at the table far in the corner.

Kitt set down the mug and let out a sigh of joy. Nothing was as good as a nice large drink of beer at the end of a long day. Some of his brothers in arms had joined him and they seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. All they needed was a bard to sing some songs and he was sure that they would all be joining in.
A few times Kitt would turn and flirt with a barmaid. He didn't really have any feeling in it, but it was always nice to get a kiss or two out of it. In other bars he would sometimes disappear with one for a half-hour or so, but he was new in two and he wasn't sure about how the barmaids felt about him yet.
Jareth's fingers twitched as he put his hands upon the bartop. Steadying himself onto a stool through heavy-lidded eyes, he gave a lazy nod to Morgan the barkeep. They knew Jareth well enough here, as they ought; he'd been around since before Morgan had even been an urge in his parent's loins. Strange though that may seem, no one ever dared to ask questions. Jareth was the town drunk, never aging a day yet still falling apart at the seams, and that sort usually didn't garner much attention. Probably just as well. He didn't look up when he recognized the scent of one of the tavern wenches as she sat his drink down next to him. The usual. His shaky fingers felt feverish as they wrapped around the small glass, and the liquid inside began to boil. With a quick jerk of his upper-body, Jareth downed the spirits and then paused as if expecting something. After a moment, he put the glass back down overturned and sighed. "Never burns enough..."

With her song complete, Tammy gracefully jumps down from the small stage and resumes her duties as the elf bard rolls into his next song without missing a beat. Or he would have had it not been for a small explosion that surprised everybody.
Having spotted the source before the explosion, Gromit approached the now retreating elf. "I must ask that you cease your experiments or take them elsewhere Ma'am. Such explosions are unhealthy."
As Gromit confronted the young elf, the rest of the tavern returned to normal as the bard struck up another song and another orc sat down to challenge the reigning arm wrestling champ.

Lydia was near the back of the crowd when the arm wrestling match started, eyeing the crowd in the bar for an open seat. There seemed to be quite a few loners around the establishment, who seemed interesting enough to observe through the night if she could just find a seat and get some stew.
As the crowd broke away from the wrestling match, Lydia was hustled further back by some of the members who lost the last bet just in time to see an elf girl cause some commotion. Watching her slink off to another table, Lydia followed after her, "Nothing like a bit of trouble making to spice up the night," she muttered to herself in a mirthful tone but stopped in her tracks to lean on a support beam to relieve her back as the elf was confronted by the bodyguard.

Kurai tips number 354: "it's a quoting error that makes the pages flip out, I edited posts correct the error because it makes things difficult to post for me. what happened was when they were quoting akari there was a "]" at the end of the name, which messed the the quotes after that and caused the rest of the quotes to mess up and cause the script error."

A raven with piercing sapphire blue eyes, would soon land on Gromit's head gently pecking curiously at the war forged. Anyone who had lived in the town for awhile would have seen that raven around, a familiar to a certain half-angel with a wide mischievous smile. However before the raven taunts can go farther the bouncer would feel someone leaning against his back as Ravia made her reveal. The Heavily pregnant Aasimar leaning her back against his, "Now now Gromit. Doing experiments somewhere else could have complications you know. Then the whole town pays and personally I don't want the inquisition knocking on my door later. Besides trial and error always spices things up a bit in this town. What's the occasionally explosion now and then." Ravia said with a small sultry giggle playing with magic a bit, before she moved forward with a waddle and a hand on her hip and stomach. Her Raven following behind as she made her way to the barkeeper, eventually landing on it's master's shoulder.
Ravia's stomach pressed up against the bar ever snuggled as she smiled placing a hand to her cheek as she chimed in a song, "Moooooor-gan." She smiled wide as she looked at him, the smile on her face matched the eyes she possessed both were unnerving to deal with as she was a witch and a good one at that as well. "I heard a package came here by mistake for me. A new crystal ball and I kind of need it. If you would be so kind." Her raven looking at the other patrons as if studying before looking back to be pet by Ravia. "good girl, Noire..."
Elza wandered into the local tavern and sighed. Well, from what she had seen, this seemed like a decent town. She'd give it a day or two. Maybe she could find a place here to settle for a while. She was just crossing the bar room, watching the arm wrestling match with mild interest. She was about half way across the room when there was a loud bang. She yelped a bit, then sucked in a breath as she felt her babies kicking around inside. They weren't big enough yet to cause too much pain, but it still wasn't exactly comfortable.
She rubbed her belly comfortingly. "It's alright, little ones. Let's get something to eat, alright?" Going over to a table, she sat and flagged down one of the barmaids to get a bowel of stew. Once it was brought, she sat back, eating and casually watching the goings on in the room.
