But i'll just start by asking...
Why throw in the fear of dying?

It's not dying I'm afraid of. It's the being dead part that scares me. The fact I do not know what happens to the human consciousness as the body expires is the singular diamond core of this phobia. What scares me the most of it is the idea that my mind, my consciousness, could just disappear into nothingness. I like existing mentally, I like thinking, I like dreaming. I hate the idea that dead is just....THIS!  This for no discernible amount of time without a single thought. No thought to who I am, no memory, and certainly no thought to what's going on. I can't wrap my mind around it, it is the great unknowable thing. The thing we can theorize to no end, but unless we can kill someone and revive them after a month, we're never going to get a straight answer.

The way I see it, cells don't have eyes? But they're alive, so maybe, you'll break down into something that can go into the ground, evolve into something else..somehow! or totally be lunch for something ninja
