Bolero Indra x Kaito Yokai
Bolero: *sitting under the shade of a tree and singing an upbeat song his mother had taught him*
Kaito: *skipping along, bouncing off any vertical surface* I'm a ninja! *hurries over to jump off a tree, but pauses when he hears a tune* That's awesome! *dances around to find to source of it*
Bolero: *notices another kit in his periphrial vision and stops singing to look at him* Hello, who are you? *he hadn't met any other kits aside from his siblings, and was eager to make friends*
Kaito: *pauses his jig* The name's Kaito! I'm a ninja! *shows off by performing a backflip off the nearest tree. He giggles* I was thinking of being a pirate later. Was that you singing? It sounded amazing!
Bolero: Wow. I've never seen anyone do a ninja move before. *grins* But Mama calls Dad a pirate all the time, if you want some help with becoming one. *fidgets nervously a bit* Yeah? Thanks, I'm not nearly as good as my uncle, but I do practice. Would you like to hear more?
Kaito: *puffs out his chest proudly* I started training a while ago, but Mama got mad 'cause I kept punch holes in the walls. *he sits and shows off his hooves* That's awesome! You can train me to become a pirate and I'll train you to be a ninja, then we can be ninja-pirates or pirate-ninjas! *jumps to his feet* Oooo! I'd love to hear more! I just hope you don't mind if I dance!
Bolero: *chuckles* I just sing. My brother is the one learning to be a pirate, though I could get him to teach me, and try to teach you? By the way, I'm Bolero. Wanna see what else I can do? *grins and starts singing, music notes springing to life around him*
Kaito: Yeah, but you have pirate blood! Pleasure to meet you, Bolero. *he bows grinning before nodding and watching the notes* Whoa!!! *he jumps up and starts batting at the notes and trying to catch them* How are you doing this? This is sooooo cool!
Bolero: *ends his song and grins* I guess I do. *laughs* I'll teach you everything I know! *watches the notes fade out* I can infuse music with magic. I think my kirin abilities makes it visible. Oh, you should try your ninja moves on them. *sings more so Kaito can chase the notes*
Kaito: My mom’s a kirin, I think she can move stuff with her mind, but she doesn’t realize it. I don’t have any powers as far as I know. *watches the notes* That’s a good idea! *crouches down, then leaps at the notes using his hooves to kick them, then rolls and lands in a ninja pose* Did you have to learn your magic, or have you always been able to do it?
Bolero: I've always been able to do it. But I had to learn control. I can't let my emotions interfere willy nilly, or I might hurt someone. Or I might influence them in a way no one wants. *bats at one of his music notes* And I'm learning to change the colors of the notes now. Your mom can move things with her mind? How...does she not realize that?
Kaito: *nods* That would be dangerous. My mom's smart, but she's not very good at noticing things. Like, if there's something across the room she wants, she looks away and back and then it's right there next to her! But she always thinks she was mistaken about where it was. *shrugs* Anyway...*his ears perk as his name is shouted not far away* Awww, I guess it's time for me to head home. *jumps to his feet and waves at Bolero* It was fun meeting you! We should play together again some time soon!
Bolero: Wow, that's cool. *ears droop* So soon? Alright, I guess it's time for me to go home too. We'll definitely have to play together again. *singsongs "Bye Kaito." sending notes after his friend*
