Head Captains Office
"He may be young, but his knowledge and wisdom are great..."
___About:
This is the Head Captain Matsubara's office. It can be found at the highest floor of the division. It has a large balcony that allows the Head Captain to view Soul Socieity for miles and see other division HQ. Besides it being larger than most division captains office, it also houses many books, scrolls, and documents of the past and presence. The overall chamber has not changed much after Yamamoto passed away other than a few Edo period ink paintings and bonzi trees have been added in the chamber.
The Head Captain can be found her finishing paperwork and assigning other divisions duties that need to be carried out. You can also find Captain Matsubara most of the time on the Balcony watching over the entire area with a sharp eye looking to laziness in those that are doing regular patrols in the area.
Not matter your rank, if you are to visit the head captain you are to knock and wait for permission to enter. Upon entering bow in respect before addressing the Captain Commander. Emergencies are different, just enter and state the situation.

Izuma walked into his office and seemed to have a rather calm look on his face as division members were in and out of his rather large office dropping and picking material up off his desk. Izuma simply walked past them as they bowed to him almost seeming as if he didn't even noticed they existed at all. However this was not the case, inside his head he was trying to make decisions that would affect the future of Soul Society. However these were not normal decision, but rather he was trapped in conflict with himself on whether to deal with a threat that not only threatens Soul Society and the Living World, but also that of Hueco Mundo and Hell.
When Izuma reached his desk and simply walked behind it and stood in front of his chair before he sat down and let out a sigh. He placed his right hand on his forehead as he continued to think as division members continued to go in and out. Suddenly Izuma stood up and his being seemed much more confident and comfortable than it was just moments before hand. "7th Seat Nasuma Sung!" Izuma shouted and a rather elderly looking individual appeared before Izuma bowing on his knee with his head down. Izuma glared down at the elderly division member before closing his eyes and sighing. "Inform the 13th Division Vice-Captain that he and several members of multiple division will be sent to investigate the strange reports of high spiritual energy in the Rukongai Districts." he said to Nasuma who only nodded before flash stepping to inform the Vice-Captain. At this point Izuma only stood still wondering if he made the right decision in sending a newly appointed Vice-captain to look into what could be a seriously dangerous situation.

 GENTAROU FUURINJI
Gentarou walked down the vast halls of the Ichibantai's house, looking all around at his posting place's tidiness - there were many flowers and the floor was spotless. Fresh out of the academy, he was eager to meet the Head Captain and learn of his duties in the Ichibantai. As he turned and turned down the halls... He wound up back at the entrance, "Eh?... This is... Hm." His lips curled inward as he held a blank face, trying to process what just happened, "This is... Albuquerque, as they say in the Human World." He made a quick one-eighty and once again entered the Ichibantai barracks, looking for the Head Captain's office.
Gentarou had only heard a few things about the Head Captain. He was quite young to be a Captain, more so to be the Head. He was, in Gentarou's words a 'chill dude.' Gentarou hopes to get on the Head Captain's good side on the first day of work.
Gentarou stopped for a moment at an intersection of halls, "Hmm.... Ahhhh... Hmmm..." A vein popped on his head, "Fine! I'll use my awesome lungs and create a echo-map of this place, like in that manga I read once!" He took a massive intake of air and held it deep for a moment before roaring loud into the halls, lasting a good five seconds of pure sonic force. Afterwards, Gentarou wheezed for a moment, "Huuu, man, that was rough, but now I ca-... AH! In the manga, it took one to scream and the other to listen! But I was too busy yelling to listen! Ahhh, man!"

Izuma heard some shouting in the hall and right away walked to his chamber doors and swung them upon. Right away other division members began to move and run as if he was pissed. However when he looked he noticed a member that seemed to be rather annoying individual down the hall. Than he remembered, he was meant to great this new member that was one of the youngest besides himself to be admitted to this division. "Hey! Could you keep it down and get over here!?" Izuma shouted as his office was behind the young division member. It only seemed to have had the right sense of direction, he was just going down the wrong end of the hall.
Izuma stood outside his office door and seemed to put his arms in the sleeves of his captains robe as he waited for the member to come over to him.

Gentarou stiffened upright and spun to the voice, "A-ah! Sorry!" He tightened his obi and walked over to Izuma, using his hands to slick back the sides of his hair before bowing, "It's a real honor to meet ya, Ban- I mean, Head-Captain Matsubara." Gentarou rose back up, his rooster crown flopping, "I'm the new guy, Unseated Ichibantai, Gentarou Fuurinji. I prefer Gen." He reached back and pulled his sword around to his side, showing the green sheath and black hilt, "And this is my partner, Aozora no Hiroii Ginga, Aozora for short."
Gentarou bowed again, "I apologize for the yellin', sir, I was attempting echo-location but failed to understand certain mechanics behind it. I'll make sure to figure it out in time." Clearly, he didn't understand that physics in manga does not apply to this world...

Izuma still with his hands in the sleeves of his captains robe bowed slightly in a greeting to his division member. He than heard the man that was about his own age speak and saying his name and the name of his blade. "It is an honor to meet you both.", Izuma said as he than drew his blade and gentle touched the flat part of the blade of his katana with the fingers on his left hand. "My demons name is Akki Hake..Akki for short." he said as he seemed to almost be absorbed into the shine that his blade gave off. "It's bankai is forbidden to be released within soul society for obvious reasons.", he added before he put his blade away.
"Echo locations? Like a bat or whale?" he asked his division member a bit puzzled that he would try such a method to try and locate his office and to get around. Izuma could only smile and laugh as bit as he thought more and more about how that would work out for a person. "Well I wish you luck with that." he said as he than motioned for the division member to come in his office. "Come, I could use some company while I drink some tea." he said as he turned and began to walk into the massive chamber again. Izuma acted more like an elderly man than someone of youth would. But no one can blame him, he is is the Captain Commander with a heavy burden on his shoulders of making tough decisions and more.

Aerik was bored. Oh so very very bored. Nothing fun had happened in the Seireitei in a long long time, and he wanted some action. But he did settle for the peace that came with the boredom. He was both happy and sad that there was nothing to do. Because it meant there was a time of peace. But now, He just wanted to talk to someone. His squad was too quiet. He approached the Head Captain's door, and knocked lightly. Aerik wasn't wearing his Captain's Haori. Instead, he was wearing the vested top that was almost the custom of Division Two Captains. He shifted his weight back and forth between his left and right foot, waiting for a response from within the office.

Izuma heard a knock at his office door and looked around his division member. "Come in captain." he said as he could right away tell whom's spiritual pressure it was even though it was so greatly lowered that normal shinigami wouldn't be able to feel it. "I actually wanted to talk to you." he said as he seemed to have a gentle smile on his face. It was something not many people see on the Head Captains face.

Aerik's hand openned the door fluidly, and he was in the room almost liquidly, bowing low to the Head Captain of the Gotei thirteen. Aerik looked to each individual in the room. No one of extreme importance. Aerik could neutralize them quickly if they were to be of any threat at all. But moving past that point, as they were most definitely Shinigami of the First division, Aerik did a two finger salute to the head captain after he was standing straight. "Yo, Izzi. I'm bored out of my mind. There has been nothing out of the ordinary, hell, even the hollows have been quieter than usual. Other than the Maggot's nest, my squad has had almost nothing to do and-. Wait. You wanted to talk to me? Shoot. I'll take literally anything at this point." The two finger salute turned into a two finger gun as he motioned shooting himself in the head.

Izuma would smile at Aerik whom entered the office in a rather fluid and calm manner. He was always a man that knew his movements and never wasted any energy in making to large of movements. Even if he was in a rather more safe and relaxed situation. It was not a bad thing, however Izuma couldn't help but feel that Aerik was a bit too much on his guard when he was here in Soul Society. Izuma would however seem to get his right eye brow twitching a bit as again Aerik seemed to be addressing him by his nickname from when they were in the academy. "That's Head Captain or Captain Commander.", he said correcting his rather informal friend of his. Izuma would also hear how he was bored and how he had nothing to do with his division. Izuma would only make the duck face lips and his eyes turned skeptical. "How about that paper work of yours.", he said as he seemed to be getting into his rather immature side even thought he is the captain commander. He than noticed that Aerik did a finger gun and acted like he shot himself in the head. Izuma's right eye brow began to twitch again. "Anyway, I need you...".
However before Izuma could address the issue, he was right away interrupted by an older member of his division that seemed to be twice his age. This man right away told Izuma that there was a spiritual pressure far beyond a normal hollow or arrancar sensed in the World of the Living. Izuma's mood seemed to almost shift as he stood to his feet and seemed to look serious now. "Thank you 9th Seat Na Ang.", he said to the elderly division member that only bowed his head before disappeared in a flash step. "It seems we will be leaving to have some fun captain...", Izuma said to Aerik meaning to show that he wanted him to come with him. "Gentorou, why not come with?", Izuma asked as he seemed to want to expose the division member to an Arrancar. "It may be a good learning experience for you...", he said before he walked out of his office to head to the Seki Gate.

Aerik gave a half-hearted smile when the Captain Commander had brought up the paperwork. He had gave it to his underlings, and would only sign it when they were done. Aerik hated paperwork. It was the only downfall of being a Captain. When an older man from Izzi's squad came in, Aerik almost got excited. No... He did get excited. He waited before Izuma finally stood up and announced there was a being with stronger than normal power coming from the world of the living. Aerik would have his chance. He would finally get to fight something. And his boredom would be over. He grinned at the Captain Commander. "Just lead the way, sir. I'm right behind you." He would get the chance to fight with his old friend. And for that, Aerik was excited. Nothing would get in his way now. He would most definitely defeat whatever creature got in his way today. Aerik was ready and roaring as he took off after Izuma's shadow to the Real world.

ShinjiIwana Five Divison Soul Society Captain " ... It wasn't that Shinji was afraid of visiting the Captain in his home, he was just afraid of having the same experience as he did with someone. He hadn't come for a visit. The only reason Shinji had changed his mind about that was because he had to formally greet him. Sure they knew each other, but that was only from files and such. Shinji need to actually meet Izuma face to face to get a feel for his personality. He wanted to know if he was laid back and decent or strict & disciplined.

Izuma would suddenly burst out of his office doors and seemed to be crying as as got behind a member of his division. He seemed to be quite frightened as there seemed that was driving him insane. As the female division member jumped from the shock of seeing the captain burst out of his office crying like a child she would begin to ask him what was wrong and why he was so excited. "Someone let a vile little creature of destruction into my office!", Izuma shouted as he seemed to be on the verge of tears as he was hiding behind her. Suddenly Izuma would look over his division members shoulder and point into his office. "There! That creature of pure evil!", he shouted as he seemed to be greatly frightened.
Something was indeed coming out of the office and the division member quickly dropped her things and put her hand on her Zanpackuto. As whatever it was must be strong as it was able to make the Head Captain run. However as the creatures stepped out, it was nothing but a harmless kitten that seemed to want Izuma's attention. This prompting the female division member to give a pissed look as she slowly turned her head to look at her captain. "It's trying to kill me kill it, kill it!", he continued to shout as the kitten saw him again and meowed, making him flinch. However the division member only picked up her things and than walked away completely annoyed, ashamed, and thinking about transferring. "Ino-dono please don't leave me here~!", Izuma begged the older division member that was his senior in terms of age and experience, however she completely ignored him, turning a corner. "So cruel, every last one of you...I hate cats so much...", he said as he was on his knees with tears running down his face as he seemed to be in a chibi form.

Hiroshi would suddenly arrive via Shunpo on the large balcony that was visible throughout all of Soul Socieity for miles, he had been bedridden for awhile not because he was sick or old and fragile but because he had nothing to do but sit around and do paperwork, he didn't like doing paperwork but with nothing else to do instead of letting it pile up for him he would take his precious time and do it. He had yet to see his good friend and rival for awhile and had decided to go on out and pay Izuma a visit, It wasn't rare for Hiroshi to go out and hang out with Matsubara but with Hiroshi being so occupied he barely had time for anyone. He was in need of a Lieutenant but he didn't know of anyone that seemed to fit the adequate role that needed to be filled, maybe this person would be able to keep him from running away from the vile paperwork. He had thought of getting a lieutenant but the thought only made him think of more paperwork and he had quickly erased and thrown the idea out of reach, yet again Izuma had two twin lieutenants if he wasn't mistaken and If Hiroshi managed to get triplets he would have no paperwork on his hands and his spare time would be the ultimate recess time ever for him, unfortunately he would rather have one instead of having to put up with three different people, he would quickly dismiss the thought.
Hiroshi's arrival would not go unnoticed as he stepped out of the Fast Movement shunpo, he would raise his hand in a quick wave directed at Izuma. Even as his superior Hiroshi had always thought of Izuma as a close and good friend, never addressing him with proper manners and respect as he should be addressed but more casually as he had always done when in their child-hood. His hair and Captain's haori returning to its normal state due to the wind pushing it back when traveling, under his Captain's Haori, his black Shihakushō would be visible along with a expensive light-gray silk obi sash that would be holding his Zanpakutō. He would walk towards his friend and superior. ''Yo Izuma, how's it going man?'' Hiroshi would say as he walked over to his friend which was sobbing on the ground looking as if he were going to die as the little kitten slowly made his way towards the Captain-Commander. Hiroshi would chuckle alittle having decided to be a hero and take action, saving his fellow friend from the doom that was approaching him, he would walk over to the kitten and pick it up and would begin to pet it as he looked at Izuma with a smirk on his face.

Izuma would see that Sakai arrived and picked up the kitten. When he did so Izuma suddenly began to hiss at the kitten and it did the same at him. "Vile little thing!", Izuma shouted as he still seemed to have his odd, and to be honest silly fear of kittens and cats. It was like a comedy act in some sense. "Anyway, what brings you gentle men here?", Izuma asked as he put his hands in the sleeps of his captain's robe and now had a smile on his face that seemed to make the air round him radiant and sparkle. Many members in his division look at him and right away stated that he was being over expressive again.
"Unless you all want to do paperwork for the next 10 hrs I suggest you get back to work...", Izuma said to his division members still holding his smile whom flinched and quickly ran off before they could get punished. Some of the older division members, much older than him could only laugh and say that it was because of his youth that he uses so much expression and emotions and that it was a good thing.
