It was a bit of a slow process, but that day, Deryk had finally begun to come around after nearly dying out on the training fields. For awhile, he was simply drifting in and out of consciousness until his eyes finally fluttered open. Even then, his mind was still in a heavy haze, and he felt a bit of confusion for where he was. Not much was registering with him just yet.
Everything was white all around. What had happened again? He tried to think hard. After a few moments, he recalled the spar out on the fields. Though the last thing he remembered was seeing the glow of the giant axe, followed by red. Was it from the runes or from his blood spraying out of his body from the attack?
...Was he dead right now?
The death hunter groaned while trying to focus in on his surroundings. Slowly things became a little more clear. No. He wasn't dead. It looked like he was in the infirmary. Besides his chest was hurting quite a bit. Breathing was painful, and his body felt pretty weak as a whole. Maybe he should try going back to sleep.
((This is just here in case anyone wanted to check up on Deryk. Also.. yes he was bishified as well.))

"Oh--hey, Deryk! Are you awake?"
The male voice piped up suddenly from nearby, and it was followed by the sound of approaching footsteps as Eva moved to stand by his bedside. With a grin, she leaned forward, putting herself into the man's line of view. However, whereas Deryk would usually be met by the bright, happy face of Eva, he was instead met by...the bright, happy face of a very pretty man who, aside from his eyes and his hair, did not look much like the chipper death hunter.
And while having a stranger in your face would usually be quite alarming, Eva seemed to forget that she was, at present, a sparkling man. "Geez, what happened to you? Are you okay? You've been sleeping for a while, you know."
Slow down and let the poor guy get his bearings, Eva.

Just as Deryk closed his eyes again, he heard a voice addressing him. A voice that he didn't recognize. Opening up once more, he squinted and saw a male figure move over by his bedside. He looked.. vaguely familiar, but he didn't know this guy at all.
"...Do.. I know you? Seems familiar.. but.. can't place name, no," he said slowly while staring at the mysterious man. The guy apparently knew him though.
For now the questions he had been asked were set aside. He was a little nervous at the moment.

Eva seemed genuinely surprised by his question. "Of course you know me! I'm--wait, I don't have boobs anymore do I." The obvious answer should have been yes, but Eva lifted her hands to pat at her chest anyways, as if to confirm this fact. She should have realized this sooner though, considering that her voice was much deeper than it usually was but...well.
"Rightttt. Well, hi Deryk, it's me! Eva!" She grinned brightly at him (so bright they she seemed to sparkle for a moment) before giving a shrug. As if sensing his inevitable question, she added, "I don't know what happened. I just woke up one morning and...poof, pretty boy. It's spread throughout the facility."
Leaning in close, she squinted at Deryk's face. "You're looking a little more sparkly than usual too."

Jude had heard what had happened and had come to visit Deryk on and off. He read to him, talked to him, fussed at him. It was sort of brotherly and affectionate in a way. Maybe Jude felt responsible for him in a sense.
Maybe he simply liked the other young man and wanted him to be happier than Jude felt he ever would be. Either way something pulled Jude away from his seat by Deryk's bed but he at least left a note for the lad to read upon awakening.

There was definitely a look of confusion on Deryk's face as.. Eva? explained the situation.
"....How long was I out? Said I was asleep for long time?"
It hadn't felt that long, but apparently he had missed a number of things around here. When male version of Eva mentioned he was sparkly too, he lifted up a hand, but he couldn't really tell anything looking at that. He'd need a mirror for that.
As for the actual thing that was happening... well... it would have been more alarming if he hadn't been turned into a big busy woman or a child once before. Someone had to have been messing with things they shouldn't have...
The death hunter tried to sit up, but quickly winced and gave upon that notion.
"... Must've been hit real bad.."
Though, it was then that he noticed a slip of paper resting upon himself. Weakly, he lifted it up to read. A note from Jude. It didn't look like the guy was here at the moment, but he couldn't help but smile faintly at what was written.

To her credit, Eva didn't seem particularly perturbed by the fact that she was a man. She continued grinning down at Deryk, propping her hands up on her hips as she considered his question. How long, hmmm... "Well...I'd say about a week now? So yeah. Long." She pointed herself and then added, "This pretty boy thing is pretty recent though. You should see everyone--it's like Deus Ex has become one giant boy band!"
Sans the singing, obviously, but everyone definitely had the looks to fit the criteria. The only time when Eva's smile faltered was when Deryk attempted to sit up, and she stretched her hands up and hovered them around him just in case he needed help. When he ended up flopping back down, however, she simply shook her head and let out a chuckle.
"Yeah. I'd advise that you just...relax some more for a bit. It's good that you've finally woken up, though!" And it looked like he had a note too. She waited patiently for him to finish reading it before leaning over and trying to peer the message. "From a friend?"

Deryk stared at Eva for that. A week? Really? That was... quite a while. He must have been wrecked worse than he realized at the moment.
"Yeah. Jude stopped by. Threatened to take away my coffee if this happens again.. though...Doubt I'll be sparring Rep again anytime soon no," he said with a sigh. Had... Rep been trying to kill him? He just had a sense of unease at the moment thinking about it.
Though, right now, he wasn't even really sure what the extent of his damage was. It just hurt in general.

Jeremy entered the scene.
"DUDE YOU'RE AWAKE!" ...And apparently he did not know how to be quiet. The now super-bishounen (and much more pale) Jeremy stomped his way into the infirmary, dragging someone by the arm behind him. "Congrats! WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF THE LIV---Heeeeeey..." His face fell as he looked past Derryk and the other handsome man to the table, his pout growing more and more prominent.
"...They got rid of my flowers." He lamented, slouching unhappily as if the entire world was now over, which it kind of was. "Oh well, I can make you new ones! But look, guy! I brought a girl!" Now he tugged on his companion's arm, bringing her - him? - into the main focus. "...Well he used to be a girl. New girl! Well now new boy I guess but new. New kid this is...well actually I don't really know his name, but I don't think he can speak english so like...I don't know, just wave I guess?"
Chatterbox was chatterboxing.

She had literally met this boy in the hallway the day before. She didn't know where he came from or even who he was, but when she'd woken up that morning as a boy...well.. Somehow he found her again? Heidi actually wasn't all that bothered by it all. What had changed, really? Her shoulders were broader, her body didn't have any curve to it not that it really had much to begin with but...her clothes still fit pretty well, and she didn't really look that different. Guess that explained how the boy found her so easily. She had followed him to the infirmary, looking as confused but cooperative as ever. "Uh...good morning? I hear you were in a coma..?" He looked warily to the boy who'd brought her here. Didn't speak English? Well that was awkward. "I know an teensy bit of French...does he speak French?"

Suddenly there were more people in the room. One he.. vaguely recognize. The other not so much. Flowers? What flowers? Deryk was quickly getting very confused here.
"Can speak english just fine, yes," he said while furrowing his brow, looking between the two, "Though yes. Apparently been out for a week... Just got up. Um... M'names Deryk by the way."
He couldn't completely recall where he saw the blonde sun hunter before.

Eva had just been about to ask what happened to him, only to receive an answer to her question before she even uttered it. "Aah, a spar with Rep? Goodness, he's a powerful one, isn't he?" From what she could recall, she had heard that he had sent plenty of people to the infirmary. It was certainly a good thing that he was on their side rather than the horsemen's. "I'd like to spar with him sometime," She mused aloud, tapping her chin thoughtfully, "Not that I'd expect to win, mind you, but I'm certain that it would be an interesting experience!"
Maybe she was just a masochist.
In either case, the former-girl smiled as she finally focused her attention back onto Deryk. "That was nice of Jude to visit! Though that being said...how are you feeling now? Still in one piece, I should hope?"

"...Whoa, really?!" Jeremy gasped in shock and awe as the new girl kid said she he could speak some French. "Nah, I don't think so. I think it's more like pig latin...I don't know he was just sproutin words and---" Deryk's voice caught his attention and he gasped, twisting to point dramatically at the blonde assassin. "SINCE WHEN?!"
Somehow, Jeremy felt cheated.

Oh hey! There were more people in this place!
...One of them looked..almost...familiar. Heidi just stared at the black-haired boy speaking to the boy in the bed, his head tilted to one side and his lips pursed thoughtfully. Why did he feel like he knew that person? Huh! Must not have been important. "Only a little bit. I was taking it in high school. Everyone takes Spanish, I wanted to do something different..."
And then the boy spoke. Ah! Deryk! He smiled. "Name's Heidi. A week? Man, that sucks." What had the other boy said? A spar with Rep? Who was Rep and why did a spar do that to this guy? Geeeeeeze.
Poor whatshisface seemed very distraught about Deryk speaking English. Heidi blinked. "Maybe he can learn..?"

"..Be careful Eva. One moment I was fine... Next well... Ended up here," Deryk said with a frown. With an attack like that, it was hard for him to not see that Rep may have been trying to kill him. Though, he had no idea why that might be the case.
"Don't think I'm missing anything... does it look like I'm missing anything?" he asked, sounding worried. He hadn't really tried moving a whole lot. He knew he had both arms at least. Though, he soon looked to Jeremy and Heidi.
"..Always been able to. What made you think I don't speak english? And uh.. nice to meet you Heidi. New around here?"
