Philomela played with some blocks that Melody had left for them on the family room floor in the kitchen. She was working on stacking them into as high of a tower as she could. So far the highest she'd gotten to was 4, not very impressive. But currently it was at 4 blocks high and she was about to put on the 5th. "Very careful..." she was careful not to breath too deeply, this was an important moment.

Honoka was normally a calm happy easy going kit but you wouldn't have been able to tell by the way she entered the kitchen through the back door. She practically slammed it open and dashed in side. Pausing only for a second to kick the door shut before continuing on. Unfortunately she didn't have much traction seeing as her mother Despoina had just polished the marble like ground. This caused her to skid and crash right into Philomela and her blocks causing this big booming sound as the blocks fell back down to earth.

Mela saw Honoka coming in far too late to stop it. She saw a flailing of paws and tried to dash her hooves out to save the blocks "No, no no --- NO!" But no hooves nor words could stop Honoka, and soon her blocks were on the floor.
She looked down at them sadly before looking up at her sister. "Why'd you do that?"

Honoka laid in a tangled up heap on the floor in the blocks. She stared up at Mela with wide eyes before some tears started to fall. "I sorry Mela.... he scared me and picked me up I had to run and find mommas but the floor was mean and made me crash into you."

Mela's expression changed suddenly at the mention of a "him". "Him who?!" Mela stood up on shaky legs and looked around.

"This male by the fountain in town. I was playing and he came up and we were talking and he seemed angry by what I said. He let out a growl and picked me up by my scruff and gave me a shake than put me down and scolded me.... than I ran and here I am," Eyes are big and watching her sisters reaction.

Mela looked around scared for a moment until she released Hono was talking in past tense. She ran up to her sister and threw herself on her in a giant hug. "Oh Hono you're okay! There's no big scary man here sis."

Hono hide against Mela like she was her last thread to the world. She nodded her head to Mela's question if she was okay. Cause physically she was. She was just a little scared. "He was talking about kidnapping kits and all sorts of crazy things."

Honoka popped her head out from behind her sister and nodded. Yes they most tell their mothers otherwise who was going to stop this crazy man? Taking in a big deep breath she stood up and removed herself from her hiding spot of behind Phil. "Yeah your right but where are they?"

Mela's expression darkened. "I thought they were in the kitchen cooking?" She looked over at her sister confused and lost. "Maybe they're lost?" She braced herself, tail twitching ready to run at a moments notice. "We gotta find them Hono and help them!" She took off down the hallway towards the kitchen where the smell of chocolate cookies still drifted through.

"I dont want mommas to be lost," Honoka whined to her sister before taking off after her down toward the kitchen. She could also smell the yummy scent of cookies that their mother Desponia was making which meant they had to be there right? Because mothers were never irresponsible and wouldnt leave something in the oven without watching it right?

Mela scuttled around the corner and into the kitchen. Despoina wasn't there. She looked around and sniffed the air noticing a plate high up on the windowsill where a plate of still warm chocolate cookies was. "Did mommy Des say she was going out today?" She looked at Hono confused.

Honoka also noticed the plate of cooling high up out of her and her sisters reach. Obviously their mothers had known they would smell the delicious cookies and didn't want their girls getting into them so they placed them up. But still where could their mothers be? "Mmmm I don't think so but maybe momma Mel decided to have a surprise picnic for her?"

Mela sat back debating this. "Maybe but wouldn't the momma's want to include us? We are good picnic helpers." She looked around and then remembered the open window. "I got an idea Hono! Stand right there and lift me up to the counter so that I can look out the window."
