Garland chewed curiously on a few long strands of grass, his eyes crossed as he looked at the strange things at his feet. He was in a clearing, one he’d never visited before, with grass that went up to his belly. It tickled him as he walked, but he enjoyed the sensation, and the ease with which he could tug the blades out. Back home, he had to shuffle along with his head constantly near the ground if he wanted to eat, but here he could easily reach down for a bite or two.
He was so pleased with the discovery that he soon found himself prancing around the field. The reaction might not have been so strong had it been a different time, but the last few months had been Garland’s second winter, and he still remembered the chill and the lack of food that came with it. He delighted in the changing season and the warm sun on his back that told of spring’s coming, and frolicked about with no cares to burden him.

Karei is traveling about as he hears the movement of tall grass near by. He stops and listens for a bit to see if he can guess how big the one moving the grass is. Taking a few guesses before stepping out into the tall grasses himself. He believes that this other in the are is another mini breed. Seeing he has never met fillies or colts of the big breeds or even of his mini breeds before.. Stepping into the tall grasses he notices that he guess was wrong.. It looked to be a baby of the bigger breeds. He stops in his tracks and watches the little one who is about the same height as himself prance about in the grass. He was wondering why this one seemed so happy.

Garland stopped mid-step when the newcomer approached, all senses directed towards the stranger. Suddenly, forgetting about the good meal before him, he approached the Usdia.
"Wow," he called appreciatively, "an Angeni! Hello!"
He'd heard of Angenis before, but never Puttis, and Garland mistook the stranger for a foal like himself. He watched the other's wings with undisguised admiration, glad to have had such an encounter today. What domain did this soquili have, he wondered, remembering Angenis to be god-like in their abilities.

An Angeni? He thought as he shakes his heads a bit and looks at the colt. "No no.. I am not an Angeni.. I am what is called a Putti and I am full grown. Though it looks to me that you are still a colt. Seeing you don't look like any Usdia Breeds that I have seen."He points out as he smiles watching the young one. "I am Karei. I am a traveling story teller. It is nice to meet you young one."

”A Putti?” Garland echoed with a curious tilt of the head. He’d never heard of one before, or even Usdias, but that didn’t matter. Not now, anyway. He was more concerned with the stranger’s other words.
“Full grown? But you’re so small!” he said, horrified and forgetting his manners because of it. Was the stranger lying, hoping to get a reaction out of him? Or, worse, was he telling the truth? Was it possible he would be stuck in that size forever, too, never growing as big as his parents?

Karei watching the young one as he can tell that something he said has gotten to the foal. He laughs a bit. "You don't need to worry. You will get much bigger then you are now before you are an adult." He nods to the foal in front of him as he thinks on how to word what he wants to say. "Well Yes I am an adult and fully grown. But I am from a much smaller breed of Soquili then you are from."

Garland raised a brow, scrutinizing Karei's form before he looked at his own. The only differences he could see was that the other had longer hair and small wings. Although he could tell his mane was growing with time, he didn't think it was an indicator of age. His mother had short hair, after all.
"How can you tell?" he asked with some hint of suspicion.

Karei thinks a bit as he looks at the foal. "Well you are a young one and already a bit bigger then me so you aren't fully grown" He points out to this young foal but is happy to meet a young one. This is the first time he has come across a young one before. So this new meeting is something new and fun to him. Smiling as he watches the young one. "There are big breeds and small breeds. But I can promise to you that you aren't a small breed. You are too big to be the young of a small breed family."

Garland hummed thoughtfully, biting his lip and furrowing his brows as he ruminated over it. The Putti had started off small and had grown larger before he stopped. He himself had started off small and was still growing. But at what size was the limit? How was Karei so certain?
“How do you know when you’re done growing?” he wondered aloud. If he could help it, he wouldn’t stop growing until he was as tall as the sky!

Thinking about the question the young one asked. "Well I am not sure maybe when your growing pains stop." He points out seeing that every time one grows they get growing pains so maybe that is the key on how to tell if one was fully grown or not. But he wasn't sure.

Garland nodded, satisfied with the answer for now. If the pains went away when one didn't grow any longer, that would explain why others chose to stop growing at all. But did that mean shorter soquili had a lower pain tolerance? Hmmm...
"I'm Garland, by the way!" he said, remembering to introduce himself now that his fears had been alleviated. "I don't think I've seen you around before... what're you doing here?"

Karei looking at the young Foal. "I am just traveling the lands. I learn new stories to share as I go about. This is what makes me happy. After all life is short. You might as well do what you love and enjoy." He smiles as he watches the young one after all he isn't going to just ignore the young one and leave. Even if he is smaller then the young one. If it wonderful to be kind to those around you as his small wings flutter.

”You travel? Where’d you go? What’ya see? D’you have a story ‘bout dragons? Is storying what you like, or adventuring? Both?” Garland asked, suddenly interested in the little Putti. Many others had told him he was too young and too small, and that going far from his mother would be dangerous. But if Karei could do it, why not he?

Thinking about the young one's question as he is unsure how to answer it all shortly as he smiles. "Well I love both traveling and stories. Because in each new land you can find muses for new stories or you hear stories about the land that are new to you. So for me they go hoof in hoof." Wondering just how to reply to the others. "Well yea I travel more then I stay in one place. I believe I started to travel when I was your age. Just a foal. Though my adoptive mother didn't like me wandering off to much so I didn't travel too far at your age. Once I grew to my size now I was off and nothing could stop me." Trying to word the replies in a way that he doesn't sound too long winded. "I have been all over for the most part. Recalling the names of the places is a bit hard on my memory seeing the stories take over. And I believe I do have a story about dragons. I haven't finished it yet though."
