Sin stood nervously in front of the office door and debated turning around and going back to her dorm to study, but inside she felt such a tangle of emotional knots and she needed answers to even begin unraveling what was wrong. For once things seemed to be going sort of normal, as normal as things could go at Amityville anyway and it seemed beyond foolishness to bring up certain events but she wanted answers, assurances. With a deep breath she turned the knob and slipped inside slightly wary.
"Hello? Professor Arel?"
She stepped in and closed the door scanning the office, she wondered what subject Professor Arel would have taught if he hadn't been so bogged down by administrative work. He was the Demon Counselor, but other than inviting him to her Party at the Demon Dorms to chaperone so long ago she hadn't really come to him for any counseling. Yet her issues did seem more demon oriented than scareer oriented. Everything that had happened still had her so confused and angry, and if she ever wanted to stop feeling so upset she had to make sense of the confusion. To top it all off she was growing like any healthy normal Succubus, but she seemed to have lost her grasp on some of her abilities it was like she choked up now when she reached for her FEAR. Professor Red had shown them as first years how to focus, how to throw a punch, but now Sin had been though so many crazy moments that her first instinct was to throw a high heel not reach for her FEAR and if she didn't get over it she'd likely end up getting herself killed...or worse.

The secretary was busy muttering loudly to what seemed like a small white minipet on the table. Both were looking at an officious-appearing document, though upon seeing the student, the minipet looked up, suddenly attentive with beady red eyes, while Arel quickly stuffed the parchment away, instead, looking suddenly extremely nervous. "Ah, you um, didn't see that, right?"

Sin looked right at the scene, her eyes even trailed after the parchment that Arel was stuffing away before she looked at him. Of course she'd seen, no details, but her mind was working away...something hidden...something official...in a demons possession...probably a contract, but a contract for what? Still that wasn't any of her concern at the moment and she didn't want Professor Arel on the offensive so she offered him a coy smile instead.
"See what Professor? I am terribly sorry for not knocking, but usually the office...your office is open to students. I was just hoping for a few moments of your time...I know we have a school counselor but you are the demon counselor so I hoped for your advice in particular."
She tried to keep her voice even, respectful, it was hard not to just plant her hands on her hips and demand to know if her school was safe. She actually quite liked Professor Arel, he always seemed to show up like a dark knight to usher to students to safety when things went horribly wrong. Pissing him off didn't seem like a good idea. She tried to keep her eyes off the minipet like thing, it was watching her in a way that made her feel oddly self conscious.

Arel breathed a visible sigh of relief, stopping from his attempt to create some sort of barrier-slash-wall paper pile with the current stacks of student enrollments. He half-listened to Sin talk, and made a face when she mentioned "Counselling". The ice demon scruitinized her. "I hope you know," He began, "I am a very, very busy secretary. I have many things to do and uh, things you know, like, uh, like all this paperwork lying around! Exactly so! Way too busy for students." Curling into a puffy ball of knitted scarf, plush cape, and sweater, he made shooing motions at the student.
< Here, allow me. > While the voice was purely telepathic, there was noone else in the office. Was this some strange extension of Hellma? Was this a sentient office supply? An invisible monster?
The minipet on the desk twitched its tail, flickering it back and forth as it stared evenly at Sin, round red eyes blinking twice. < As a demon, and an educated professor, I may be of help. If I may, Arel? >
The school secretary harrumphed. "Fine, whatever, I was busy anyway."
Taking that as an end to the conversation, the minipet leapt off the table, seating itself on a cabinet next to Sin. < You specifically mention demon counsellor, I am curious if something worries you about this particular detail. >

Sin wasn't exactly accustomed to being told 'no' straight out so she opened her mouth to flatter Arel a bit and beg him to indulge her for a few moments…but before she could speak she froze. It wasn't her first time encountering telepathy, but Riley's voice was familiar to her and this voice was not. She looked at Arel uncertainly and then glanced at the staring minipet slightly unnerved again by it's steady gaze. Professor? She blinked and then cleared her throat still slightly uncertain until Arel spoke making her attention snap back to him.
"Oh…"
She watched as the minipet moved from the table to the cabinet and then…spoke to her? This? This was the source of the voice? Either it was or she was about to look incredibly foolish.
"Well…I just had some concerns regarding school safety. I also was hoping to ask about my FEAR, I seem to be having some trouble and I was just worried…." She trailed off uncertainly, it was a bit hard to talk to a disembodied voice that may or may not be a minipet. "Forgive me but I don't think we've been properly introduced? I'm Sin…Sin Err."
Why did it have such a penetrating stare? She was pretty sure when she stared at people it didn't give them creeps.

"Yeah you and the rest of those ignoramuses," Arel muttered at Sin's commentary, doing a terrible job of pretending to not be interested. He angrily shuffled his laundry cleaning bills and moved to sulking and shoveling the dust off his desk with more parental complaint forms.
< There is no shame in voicing your concerns. > The minipet nodded, tilting its head just slightly on a strange semi-profile angle to Sin, the red irises appearing entirely sunken in black hollow caves of eyes. The effect was a little more than disconcerting, despite its reassuring words. < I am Professor QB, though my visits to Amityville are mostly to promote awareness to the school. >
Here, Arel coughed loudly again.
< Fear develops differently from student to student, what matters more if how it develops and not when. That being mentioned, I am most curious to hear about your concerns of school safety. It is not exactly a secret of current conditions within Amityville, though I can guarantee they greatly reflect the turmoil of Halloween and even the Human World itself. >
