Not physical up for going back into the haunted house with both body and ego taking a hit, Melvin decided to check on a place he heard of but never had reason to visit. As it was, the graves of hunters were reserved to visitors who had reason to visit, and the rest was to be left in peace by disrespectful wanderers with nothing to do with their time but think about the end.

Regardless of the fact he knew no one currently resting there, he decided to go anyways as both a place he felt he would be left alone, and maybe a way to find some sort of clarity in how he was feeling.

As he was given some quick directions by a fellow Lifer who, despite best efforts in the Infirmary, had to see a few patients head that way, Melvin went off till he spotted markers and breathed out.

It's not good to wake someone up at their home.

This isn't their home. It's their final resting place, Saliva.

Can't they leave? Is this a prison?!

No, Saliva. When humans die, we stay dead. We don't pop back up like daisies. We're just....done.

...oh.

As Saliva tried to swallow that tidbit, Melvin moved to the markers and felt a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of them - and this was just the people they could somehow get the bodies to bury.

Jerry had been keeping strictly to his duties. Training, Testing, Target Practice, quick jog followed by a short workout if he had the energy and usually did after the fifth cup of coffee, but finally his mental and physical exhaustion had set in and those angry, bad feelings in the back of his mind had crawled back up.

Sitting in his room didn't help.

He just... needed to sort himself out. Find his Jerry Place. When he was feeling flustered like this, he tended to go to one place. He spent a short period gathering flowers, and sat for some time fashioning them into a pretty little wreath. That done, he had picked up his ukulele to quietly tinker.

Melvin had not expected many people here at this hour, and he didn't expect music of all things either, but as he passed through the tombstones, most not even having a single sign of visitation while others seemed rather aged from time here on the island, he glanced to see someone further off by a tombstone plucking at some instrument. It was respect for someone that was probably mourning that he didn't get near at first, and he kept moving through the rows in hopes the other was too preoccupied to ask why he wasn't settling at one grave like most people did.

When he drew nearer, he fully looked over to see that it was Jerry, and wondered who exactly the man knew here. For all he knew, Jerry could have had a dear friend or even a lover that was now 6 feet under, and he wasn't sure he was supposed to get too close if someone was really hurting.

However - he was curious to know what grave he was visiting.

So, trying to be casual, he drew a little closer to the tombstones he was at and stopped at a tombstone 3 down from where Jerry was plucking away, and just stared at a tombstone as if he belonged there.

When Jerry kept plucking on his ...small guitar of sorts, Melvin found cause to look up. "Do you usually play here?" It seemed strange to play music, but maybe he felt the dead would like it.

It took him a moment before Jerry registered the voice, his playing stopping immediately as he sat up. "I... ah... M-melvin, uh... Hi. I was just um." He shifted slightly at the tombstone.

Melvin froze too at the abruptness in which Jerry stopped playing, not to mention how surprised he was that the Lifer was here. It seemed that Jerry had been in his own world and he felt bad for interrupting someone who probably has having a moment.

And then he noticed something he hadn't yet noticed until he was actually looking at Jerry. A flashback to a very vivid dream, and he felt his own face get warm at the very idea. It had NEVER been in his head before, and aside from the ill omen of the dream, he chalked the rest to - well, being on the island way to long with very little action. His dream just thought that throwing in anyone to fill in a little scenario would be fun - but it wasn't.

His mind was helpful enough to bring up imagines of soapy shoulders, a recently shaved chest, among many other images and he felt himself look away and stare at the tombstone in front of him. "S-Sorry! I was just wondering. Didn't mean to ruin your visit with... Um, your friend?"

"My uh... therapist," He murmured with a clearing of his throat, and straightened his glasses, "I um... come here sometimes when I need to ah.. sort myself out. What ah... brings you here?"

He was not going to think of that shower. He was not going to think about that shower, of the fact in that dream he was oddly cuddly and holding hands under a blanket. Nope. Not thinking about it.

"I uh....never was here before. Thought I'd pay my respects considering....well, got to thinking about it." Death wasn't something that was a topic most people talked about, and considering he was worried about his own death due to a vivid dream and the insecurity of those around him, it probably wasn't good to bring up around people. They all considered themselves a team in one way or another, though when you really looked at it, no one seemed to be watching out for each other.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt your personal visit. I didn't even know this place used to have a therapist. Seems a lot of people could need one." Rep for one.
