I may have not been active that much here lately due to lack of friend activity but, I been thinking if anyone here can help me with making some fan made spell cards? (names, bullet pattern, etc,.) Something to help me on my next future touhou fan-fic and something to help get this guild a bit more active.

My method:
first, What is your character's theme? For the test today, we will be using Nahumar's Theme of Fear/Darkness. Most spellcards have a certain sign before the name. So let's choose for example [Frightful Sign]
Second, What does your character do/What is your character about? From Nahumar's Standing, Nahumar is one who is able to manipulate Fear in the heart of man. So he could make a phobia into a pattern. Another example is HOW the character goes about it. Illusions are another trait. So to add on the card, we will go with a spider fear.

Now we take the third step, bullet design. We take in consideration of the spell name and sign to figure out what kind of pattern. Since it's a spider, let's put a sort of illusion over Nahumar to make him look like a spider. Next, his bullet pattern will fire out a design of danmaku in eight direction in at straight line, then connect to all the ends to make a spider's web. From there, we can make Nahumar fire a spread of bullets before changing the web's design.
So to make it more visually easier, Nahumar acts like a spider and creates a web to ensnare his opponent (Or block) which then he precedes to spray more web (Bullets) onto the person like a spider to try and Wrap (Limit) them.
Bullet Design is usually chosen on your own.
There may be more to it but that is the method i go with a lot. A theme, A way of using their ability and a pattern to represent it in some way.

Well, My Oc (aka myself) has a high background in using magic learned from oher worlds. Here is what my Holy Magician looks like.  He has traveled many worlds and dimensions, and HellRavenAura had given me the title "Interdimensonal Magician". Sounds like it has a nice ring to it does it? But... from my first touhou fan-fic, I came to Gensokyo for the first time, I was wearing final fantasy styled clothing and when I was growing acustom to Gensokyo, I was put in a new outfit, or my first touhou look. Here is what I looked like back then.  Back then, I used to use other characters spellcards because I had a skill for mimicking like Satori did. (except for the mind reading part) And as for a magic circle, I don't use the big red star circle thing in my holy magician form, I use something similar to images from the journal header commission from Deviant Art. (Look me up and my artwork and you can see) I am also friendly towards fairies and youkai. If you see my artwork, you will know. I also have connections with other worlds as well. So, what do you think about my work from DA? Do you think that might give you some clues and ideas for what my spellcard themes should be like?

White Magic...
title of "Interdimensonal Magician"...
So far from initial though, I can think of one spell card being "Highway of Cross Dimention" where the pattern bends in and out as you fire. Let's say that he uses it.
The spell would act like a lazer or ribbon of Danmkau which then shapes and bends in various ways as he fires through it. Kind of like passing a rift. Though it may not be the final version as it has to look nice :3
We can even add in the idea that upon a large orb, the rift 'Shatters' then fixes itself by reversing the process even after you fire more.
Thinking of cards takes a while for me. Inbetween my Gungear story, wow, other games and life. I halfassed my cards for my OCs due to their easy to understand concepts.
But maybe you can work with this to think of some for yourself as well...
What your character is about:
White/Light Magic= [Holy Sign] Or [Light Sign] / spellcards that create patterns of white and baby blue bullets or designs.
Interdenominational Travel= A spell that talks about Journey or dimensional Travel.
mimic= [Mime Sign: It's Mine! XXX] (I.E [Mime Sign: It's Mine! Master Spark!] ). The spell could 'Capture' a card the opponent would use and not only cancels it but uses it against them. It doesn't stay though and the card you copy works at 2/3rd of it's power (Half is overdone)
Those are some examples I hope can move your gears as well. They are your character..
P.S: You are Pervy :3 and i wish i had enough for you to make Nahumar in reality. Though it would be hard to explain his whole idea.

I really appreciate it. I knew white and baby blue bullets suited me well. Now as for lasers are concerned, that's no problem for me. I was thinking about other patterns that are best suited for me. What about circles and other shapes? BTW, have you ever read my fanfic? I have made a touhou fanfic that had my first days in Gensokyo allongside my companions. In the future, I plan to write another one but this time have more of fanmade OC's in it plus some new events and crossovers too.

hmm i could use some help coming up with spellcards for Youki. names for Youki's versions of Youmu's spellcards and improvements over them, plus some unique ones

Now that i saw most of ideas ... i'm almost sure that i can really make one of Hikari's Spell cards. The others, i need much more ideas since i want to make her look more like an Extra stage boss if that's what i need to give sense to a fic in progress that i'm doing ( stare *coughcough* need to concentrate more at the patterns *cough*).
